i know some will say its the same but as a senior who loved doing paint by number but now has trouble holding a brush very long or not at all these painting games are great keep it up please

Gorgeous, as always. Satiny shading, vivid, vibrant colors, terrific skintones, great themes, great artwork, great everything.

From just a few colors and fill-ins to intricate color weavings that leave the eyes breathless with delight, Art by Numbers makes my day every single time.

DETAILED IMAGES: For paintings with intricate detail, since the image can be enlarged to almost infinity, I paint and complete one section at a time.

BACKGROUND COLOR: As for the background color, while Modern Art offers a vast array of colors and shades to contrast with the fill-in colors, Art by Numbers has set a light gray for the fill-ins and a sliding scale of white to black for the background. I use total black because it makes the images pop.

TUTORIAL: The tutorial is so clear, so easy to understand, and it's not forced. That's the biggie. It pops up at the beginning and can be put to rest by clicking the big checkmark at the bottom.

FUN STUFF: I always look forward to seeing what the little robot is up to - it's always on page 1 - and finding out what the artist has placed in the jar. That's often a page or two later.

SAD STUFF: In the series, colors are numbered on a palette of 24 shades per scrolled view with some edition images carrying as many as 75 or more shades (my favs). Alas, when completing a color located on a second or third scroll, the programming slams you back to the first view. If the section you are working on has colors that are all located in other views, the snap back is incredibly annoying. I do really wish the studio would fix the issue. None of the other fill-in art games do that.

All in all, Art by Numbers is an auto-buy for me and I do hope the series will be your must-have too. Show less

Art By Numbers gives us 72 very appealing images, a vast array of delicious colors, it is beautiful, entertaining and so relaxing. There are textured and flat painting options, complex images with more challenge, free-color mode, features that make it easy on not-so-perfect vision and never has any tech issues.

All these great features make it a fantastic value. I hope we never see the end of this series. This dev knows how to do it absolutely right and has earned far more than 5 stars! Show less

Not a gloomy picture in the bunch. Enjoyed Don Quixote and Talk to the Hand. Some clever pictures and a lot of variety this time.

Totally awesome. These games are bright colorful and some are funny, challenging and just neat to play. I find them very relaxing. Please keep on bringing them. They are beautiful!

I love that these images are so bright and colorful but I was a little disappointed that they chose the same colors, side by side (just separated with a line) in many of the images rather than making them a slightly different hue. I love that these images are so bright and colorful but I was a little disappointed that they chose the same colors, side by side (just separated with a line) in many of the images rather than making them a slightly different hue. With that being said, there's no comparison to the "other" painting series which isn't even in the same league! The best part is that you can not only see all of the images available, but you can choose any of the images to color at any time...even in the demo!

When they added a Freeplay section a couple of games back I couldn't have been more excited! This is by far one of the best features offered in a coloring game. This feature allows you to choose your own colors from a complete, full-scale color palette so you can be as creative as you want to be. My second favorite feature is that each color tells you how many cells you'll need to fill in and it keeps track of the ones you've filled in so you know exactly how many remain unfilled.

The cursor is an actual Paintbrush and they also have a Wide Brush option that allows you to fill in larger areas. You can choose from 4 different Background Textures that will compliment your completed works of art (72 total) You can also choose the color of shading for the numbered areas, and the type of painting style, either Flat or a textured Watercolored effect that looks more like a real paint by numbers painting effect.

The Current Number is much easier to see than in the "other" painting game and the black lines are much smaller so the pictures are much crisper. The difference between the two painting series games is like day versus night, this game is quality through and through and the "other" one seems outdated and old-school! These images have a transparent background, unlike the other painting game which has an ugly gray background. These works of art, however, will be displayed on the background you have chosen, and they will be embossed with a blue & gold frame when completed, sometimes it's the little touches that make or break a game!

My very favorite painting game by far. The more colors the better and the awesome creative pictures just wow.
Until #7 where perhaps in their hurry to publish another for we adoring fans, they put way too many boring, ridiculous, and just
plan goofy pictures that you can color in 3-5 mins.
Please add a lot more colorful intricate beauties to keep
proving you're the very best!

In other words: if you aren't in any hurry to finish ONE painting, then you are good to go. But if you wish to finish a picture a little faster, and move on to another, then the pictures offered here won't be for you. Show less
