MY FAVORITE PART WAS PICKING BANANAS FROM THE TREES!

fromDay-O is a song about Jamaican harvesters who worked at night to avoid sunlight that ripens bananas & waited for the tallyman to count them before going home. Those bananas went extinct in 1950, today they are a cloned variety with a different flavor! ⛄

Kingdom Chronicles has some of the most amazing graphics, the tasks are unconventional, the 3D Characters are unique, the storyline is one you actually want to read about and most of all, it's super fun to play!

This isn't an easy-breezy Time Management game, I sailed through the first 6-7 levels only to hit a roadblock and realize that if I wanted to earn all 3 Stars, I was going to have to apply some hardcore strategies. I found that the built-in Strategy Guide was more of a list of suggestions than a step-by-step guide, but I'm okay with that, I'm enjoying the fact that I have to use my brain and figure it out. I found the Tips before each level to be more valuable than the SG itself because it gives you just enough information to put 2 and 2 together.

Although there are the normal tasks of collecting resources, clearing paths, and repairing or upgrading lumbermills, farms, workers huts etc. there are also resources that aren't along the beaten path, and some unusual features as well. I loved talking with the Elder who would reveal a new building that wasn't there before! There are switches to activate to unavailable sections (loved the stone gate and the effects) You will trade resources with local merchants, build town halls and collect gold from residents, and receive bonuses such as the Helping Hand (extra worker) and a Speed bonus to speed up workers.

It may have taken this developer several years to come out with a sequel, but trust me, it is well worth the wait!

I bought the first Kingdom Chronicles game in May 2012, which makes it one of the longest waits for a follow-up I've seen! However it was worth waiting for; the original was one of my most-played games and I can see this being another one.

All the sounds and voices are exactly the same; from the soldiers and invaders to the market traders, it will all be very familiar to those who enjoyed the original. If it's the same developer then perhaps that might be expected, albeit surprising that after 7 years they retained the template from the first game in the hopes of creating a 2nd one some time!

However this is definitely not a 'copycat' of the original. Whilst graphics are as clear and colourful as before, new layouts, new challenges and new characters have been introduced so it doesn't feel exactly like the last one. The tasks are familiar; build sawmills, farms, quarries etc. whilst sending the soldiers to fight off the 'Orcs'. The story this time is completely different but I won't spoil it for others by revealing it. Play the game and you'll found out! There are extra levels as well as a built in SG.

I played until the demo ran out and wanted to carry on, so this will be a definite buy for me! Far too few of these games to let this little gem go :-) Show less

What a wonderful game! So much to think about, so many features to take in, and so much strategy to get your gold! It starts out quite slow with a tutorial (you can skip) but before long you are right in the thick of very busy play.

Whilst gameplay is the same as the first in the series, (collect resources,build and meet goals) one of the notable new features are pressure buttons that keep the resource alters open so you must stand on these regularly. The buttons can also open new territory, just as the elders also reveal new territory and buildings. And therefore also new tasks popping up.

Also of course as in the first, the gameplay stops completely until your warriors drive all enemies from the screen, requiring even more planning. You know the minute all those 'tick aheads' you did turn red, ogres are lurking.

The graphics are delightful and cheery, in fact the whole game is a feast for the eyes, including constantly scanning to figure out where the roads actually go, but it gives you help.

There is a strategy guide. There are achievements. There is art. There are bonuses for speed, extra worker etc. And there are extra bonus levels upon main game completion. But I did not see a 'relaxed' option for having no timer?

Is it CE worthy? Yes just. It has everything but collectables. I have already used the strategy guide not too far in, and getting extra levels with all this fun makes it worth it. It is not an 'easy' game. So put your speedy boots on and enjoy! Show less

I loved the first game and have played it many times and this is an improvement on that and usually will wait for the standard edition but so wanted to carry on. As it was I have used the strategy guide which did help. Some are not going to like that there is no relax level just one level however if you want to take your time you can. I would have preferred timeless mode as I like to take my time and not have to watch the clock ticking.

I played the demo and immediately purchased this game. To me it is a good Time management game although classified as a strategy game. The story, graphics, and challenge were all good. This is an upgrade from the first Kingdom Chronicles with new tasks & better animation. Totally enjoyable.

I recommend this game!

Went back and played the first game again. Very similar, but there are some new things too. The Developers didn't fix what "wasn't" broken - kudos to them for that.

This is just what to expect from a sequel, some old and some new.

This game is not a Kingdom Chronicles 1 copy, it is original, the scenery is very nice, the game is more elaborate, it needs a lot of thinking and most of the gamers, I think, won't get the gold stars immediately. The only flaw is: too many bends !!! It could be boring without the redeeming buffs. So run, run, and use the helper as soon as you can...

I just finished playing and had to say how much I enjoyed it. This is a sequel that stays true to the original while still adding new features. Some of the new things are quite unique, I especially liked the levels where there was a puzzle to solve along with the standard road clearing tasks.

The game is not easy, I started having trouble getting 3 stars about halfway through but never lost interest in playing. (Unlike some games that have such sort time settings that it just becomes frustrating.) Towards the end it was fiendishly difficult. The game lets you keep going until you complete a level even if you dont get any stars. So there is no problem getting stuck on a level.

The bonus levels are not just more of the same but are like getting another small game! Really nice and again a good challenge.

The original Kingdom Chronicles is a favorite of mine and now this one is too! Well done dev team! And thanks to BF for bringing us a truly great TM game. Show less
