Travel Mosaics has provided me with lots of fun, I enjoy everything about these games and will eagerly add this new one to my collection. The demo contained sweet Christmas pics, easily recognizable and the puzzles always add an extra measure of entertainment for me.

Travel Mosaics has provided me with lots of fun, I enjoy everything about these games and will eagerly add this new one to my collection. The demo contained sweet Christmas pics, easily recognizable and the puzzles always add an extra measure of entertainment for me.

The images are so doggone cute and very colorful. The tiles are nice and bright, and you can choose a light or dark background. I like the trivia facts we learn along the way, adding an educational value to the game. Some reviewers complain about the paint brush, but I never find it bothersome. Travel Mosaics features are all nice and the games always run smoothly.

The music is usually pretty good, but alas, this time I could not tolerate it even a little bit. It was crazy fast and just not a good choice for a game meant to be a relaxing experience!

You are probably well acquainted with Travel Mosaics, thus I have spared you all the little details. Other reviewers will provide plenty of info as usual. Number 11. like the previous ones, is a bundle of delightful puzzles! A very welcomed Christmas gift.

I recommend Travel Mosaics for some good, clean fun and peaceful play time. If you've not tried this type of game before, once you get the hang of it (easy to learn), you may find it addicting like I did.

I remember that amazing feeling and festive mood I got playing “Travel Mosaics: Christmas Around the World” last year, and was really excited to find a new game of series this year. The game didn’t disappoint me at all. It’s still very interesting and funny to draw different pictures by looking for colored cubes and empty spots. This time the game offers 5 different types of cubes and 5 types of empty spots. I love emerald-looking cubes and lozenges for empty spots above all. All the pictures are thematic and related to winter and Christmas time (animals on the snow, fir-trees, Christmas ornaments etc.)

There are 20 chapters for 20 different cities in the world. You can look at the pictures and read some information about celebrating Christmas in these cities, their main Christmas trees, traditions and interesting facts. If you make more than 2 mistakes on one level, this information will be very useful to answer the quiz question and get extra life.

As always, every chapter includes 7 nonograms and 1 puzzle. There are 3 difficulty modes. Sometimes the nonograms are quite easy, but sometimes I had to think a lot and replay the level to earn three stars.

All the pictures, animation, and music help get into a festive mood. The music is actually my favorite melodies of Christmas carols. That’s nice. So, I really enjoyed playing “Travel Mosaics: Christmas Sleigh Ride.”

P.S. I was a bit confused and worried about the previous reviews but… I haven’t seen the fireworks during the playing nonograms (the fireworks appear after completing the level). Maybe it is already fixed, or something. As to the snow, it didn’t distract me at all. It falls very slowly and not in every chapter. I’d even say this snow creates a special atmosphere. Probably the reason is in that the snow is a true miracle at Christmas time in the place I live, so it cannot be annoying. Show less

This one has fireworks constantly exploding in the background and my migraine says NO!!! I did the first puzzle, but looks like I am just SOL for this one. I'll try it on a day with no headache, but those are few and far between :(

What a game! I enjoy every minute, every level!
It's like Christmas time is here again. I like new settings, and sound of the water is very relaxing. My lil sister plays easy mode and she is happy with it. I am more happy with harder modes.
The game deserves nothing but 5 stars for my opinion.

I recommend this game!

The animated background (fireworks, etc.) takes most of the relaxation away from this game for me. It's very distracting and actually gave me a headache. It would be wonderful if there were some way to turn that feature off. I've purchased all of the Travel Mosaic games but the last one had the animation going on in the background and I hated it. I have played for almost an hour and a half- yes, I bought it, but I have to stop. The colors are so bright and those fireworks going off in the background gave me a headache. Another reason for only giving it a three is at least the first two puzzles. Most puzzle games of that sort lock in a piece when you get it in the right place thus giving you something to work from. I play Mosaic Games to chill, but this game is anything but chill, there's constant movement with bouncing tiles, loud obtrusive music, beeps and buzzes with every move made, it's a constant stimulus that winds my brain up not down, like 4 cups of espresso at the same time.

There are options for the crossed-off cells such as light or dark cells and there are Five Tile fill-in options to choose from, a Bubble style, a square with rounded corners, a Princess Cut Diamond shape, a multi-faceted tile, and a lunar-style. You can play in an Easy mode which crosses off cells for you and applies the appropriate colors, a Normal mode, or a Difficult mode which only crosses off squares when the entire row and column have been completed, and you have to manually switch between colors.

As you fill in the cells you will earn coins, Heart/Lives or Power-up recharges. Power-ups, such as a Hammer, Sun, Lightning or Bombs, originally don't have much coverage but increases with each upgrade. (can be upgraded twice) There are 7 Achievement Trophies to earn, and you can buy various souvenirs in the Shop.

Each of the Locations has 6 main Mosaic levels, 1 bonus level, and 1 additional puzzle (jigsaw variations) You must earn at least 2 Stars on each main level to open the bonus level, and you must earn a minimum of 2 stars on the Bonus Level to open the additional puzzle variation. You also have to earn at least 1 Star in each of the main levels to unlock the next location or group of mosaic levels. If you lose all your heart lives you will be given the opportunity to answer a question about the story to refill the heart-life meter.

I have bought every game of this series. I enjoy the gameplay and the fact that it is a bit more challenging than the average mosaic game. So I got this one without trying it out. What could possibly go wrong??!!
Not the game, but the background! I have skipped whole levels as i could not bear the fireworks! It is highly annoying and I cannot concentrate at all.
