I love that our meandering little robot is back. He isn't off to a good start as a detective. I'm sure his mishap will create another cute tiny tale. I love that our meandering little robot is back. He isn't off to a good start as a detective. I'm sure his mishap will create another cute tiny tale. Helper never intrudes on the fun I'm having, I enjoy the company. lol. I achieved 9-1/2 levels when the demo ended and the game ran smoothly as usual. It was a sweet diversion from a rainy, gloomy morning.
The game starts out with a short hidden object game, easy. It has 130 levels and 14 tile styles. I like the new look of the color wheel. The instructions came in 2 parts, easy to grasp if new to nanograms. The coins earned as the game progresses will buy additional levels of the power-ups or decorations. I love the cute doggie power-up!
The colors are vibrant, the images are really cute except the first one was awful. The tiles are easy to see without straining and the numbers along the side and top of the grid seem easier for me to see this time. Usually I struggle because their color blends in too much with the background.
The puzzles in Rainbow Mosaics are logic-based and challenging. The challenge grows as you get further into the game. But Relaxed Mode comes in handy if the going gets tough, I like being able to switch if need be. You are allowed 4 errors at the start of each level. I use hints rarely, only in Expert Mode, but makes it feel like cheating.
The graphics are again crystal clear and brightly colored which has always been a big plus for me. The images are easy to recognize and they are labeled. And Helper is cute in his detective garb. Rainbow Mosaics is a terrific series and I am so happy that we have a new release today, which I scooped up immediately. It is a quality mosaic game and has great replay value.
Note: In options when choosing Relaxed Mode, the setting would still indicate Expert Mode even though I unchecked it. After several attempts to change it I just gave up and started the game. I found it to be in Relaxed Mode. Maybe this was just my be-stupid-day and you won't have that problem.
I played the demo in Relaxed Mode for 7 levels to save time and Expert for the rest. Expert is still a little tough for me, depending on the level and my ability to concentrate at times.
Thanks Big Fish for RB Number 13. One of my top 3 favorite series to help ease the stress and solitude while staying safe, staying home, and fighting off the boredom. Show less

Stands out among mosaic games just as the previous Rainbows. The complexity is great. I find myself losing concentration and making some silly mistake that could have been avoided. I redo any level that includes a mistake and sometimes it takes me several tries to get away from making the same mistake each time many minutes into the level. I redo any level that includes a mistake and sometimes it takes me several tries to get away from making the same mistake each time many minutes into the level. Having to do that for several levels is one of my gauges of a sufficiently difficult game. The penguins have been much too easy lately.
Lots of levels with lots of play. I get my money;'s worth for sure.
I have only one complaint. Sometimes the marked off numbers are hidden to a quick glance within a dark background. Show less

I loved Rainbow Mosaics when they first came out because they had better features than the "penguin-themed" games, the colors were more vibrant, they had more tile selection options, and they always had a cute little story attached to them. I loved Rainbow Mosaics when they first came out because they had better features than the "penguin-themed" games, the colors were more vibrant, they had more tile selection options, and they always had a cute little story attached to them. I know most people don't care about a story in a Mosaic game, but when you purchase an entire series...and that series is a long-running series, then it's nice to have different themes and to me, it seems rather lazy on a developers part to not bother to have to come up with anything new, because the last 6 games have been, "Helper does this, Helper does that".
When they released Detective Agency Mosaics, that game had an amazing storyline and had 16 Five star reviews with an incredible average rating of 5-stars so I think that proves that people ARE looking for a better plot, at least something that doesn't have a Helper theme.
The last couple of games have added Hidden Object Scenes, which would be okay if they had something to do with the detective plot such as collecting clues or investigating a crime scene?? You can skip the HO scene, but you will earn a star for completing the scene, 2 stars for completing the scene using less than 2 hints, and 3 stars for completing the scene using one hint or less.
Fortunately, they have continued with the Tetris-style Mini-game that allows you to solve a puzzle to fill in a Mystery Number on each of the Mosaic Puzzles. You will come across a (?) Question Mark on each puzzle that hides one of the Numbers in a column or row. When you click on the (?) it activates a puzzle that requires you to drag all of the Tetris-style shapes into a grid without overlapping pieces. (btw: the puzzle shapes look really cool in the Lego-style tile selection) You can Skip the mini-game, and eventually, you will be able to figure out the hidden number by a process of elimination without having to click on the question mark, but I love this puzzle feature!
There are 130 Mosaic Levels with 14 Tile Styles ranging from beveled edges to Beveled edges, but my favorite has always been the Lego-style tile. They have also added 2 Crossed-off tile options, one of which has a beveled or rounded edge, the other is the standard square edge. You can play in a Normal Mode which crosses off numbers one by one, or an Expert Mode which only crosses off the numbers when the entire row or column has been completed.
As you correctly fill in squares, you will earn coins that can be used to purchase Street Decorations or purchase upgrades for the Power-ups which are hint forms that will increase in the size of coverage with each upgrade. The Dog power-up opens a random right square, the Lightning power-up opens up a chosen square with no negative outcome, and the Lamp power-up opens a chosen grid area without a negative outcome. Each power-up can be upgraded twice to cover a larger area on the grid.
