I love this game. It's old school. Lots of hidden objects sites which in the newer games we don't get very many so I love it.
Lots of great mini games and they are not too difficult. Nice graphics. I totally recommend this game if you love Hidden Object games.!!

My biggest complaint about this game is that it ended all too quickly. I don't mean it is a short game, but I was enjoying it and didn't want it to end! On the whole it isn't too difficult, but holds your attention. The story is interesting and intriguing, which doesn't happen for me all that often. There are also lots of collectibles: a morphing object AND an eye in each scene, plus another morphing object in each HOP. They have indicators to let you know if there's a collectible in the scene/HOP and whether you've found it or not, which I very much appreciate.
The voice actors are great as well. In a lot of games lately, the actors have been pretty poor, sometimes awkwardly so, but these are really good. I appreciate that they bothered to hire talent who really gave their all.
The environments are vivid and enjoyable, loaded with little details that absorb you. This is the kind of art I truly enjoy.
This is one of those games I look forward to getting back to every time I have a free moment. Awesome job, Mad Head! Show less

I like this game a lot! Maybe I'm different that when I play games I like to move around, think about the story, not just mindlessly click on objects (although that's a bit fun at times). Played most of the trial and that's a surprise because I usually either buy a game or quit the trial in the first 5 minutes. Mindframe The Secret Design is the first game in what might be a new series from one of the best developers here at BFG. Mindframe is a thriller, and one that kept me interested in the storyline throughout the entire game.

Perhaps I am a bit different than other reviewers in that I love HOPS. The Secret Design is a game with very creative HOPS where the items were sometimes difficult to find. I am thrilled that the game is not loaded down with puzzles to solve at every twist and turn. Instead this developer has spent time designing some very good HOPS. There are many gamers like me who do not like puzzles and many of them have left BFG because puzzles began to take over the genre. I happen enjoy good puzzles in HOPA games I just want fewer of them and I want those to be good. It looks like MHG read some of my previous reviews and created a game that is geared toward the HOS lover gamers. Thank you, MHG!

Although it is an integral part of the storyline, I am not fond of the special power that Will acquired as a result of some medication study trials that he participated in while he was in college. I don’t care for gimmicks in general but at least this one is better than some of the others.

Mindframe has potential as a new series, and I for one really enjoyed The Secret Design. There were times that I was on the edge of my seat, even though the storyline was a bit predictable. The gameplay was entertaining and kept me involved without becoming bored. At times the game felt as if it was geared toward beginning players as there was quite a bit of handholding. Even with customizing the game for the hardest level, I could easily follow the clues and figure out what to do or use when and where. The game might have seemed easier for me as like many others here at BFG, I have played hundreds of HOPA games. In spite of the fact that the game seemed easy at times, there were a few places where I did need to use the hint button. All in all, Mindframe The Secret Design is a game that I highly recommend. I think the game has something for everyone but particularly for those gamers who want more HOS than Puzzles or mini games. I love this game! I had to think! The graphics are not jammed with pink and purple - they are clean and very realistic. The puzzles are clever with many twists and takes on usual things and some that I had to peek at the solution. Story is linear with minimal back and forth - hardly any - so time spent "playing" isn't time spent running all over fetching and amassing a huge dock of Stuff. Voice overs are normal voices speaking normally - no annoying? Helpless people? telling you four time? What you have to do while you're doing it? Like this?

Scenes are fresh and so well done. Morphs and collectible to find in scenes including HOPS which are all different and interesting. Things make sense - office items are in --wait for it-- an office, not hidden in a tree in the middle of a swamp. Story is neat. This is the first time in ages I've actually kept 2 of the sound tracks (which is stratospheric and very pleasant - not a loop of 4 notes over and over until you want to claw your face off.) Sounds are rich and realistic, even the click of a button. I also kept a few Wallpapers which show the amazing scenes, not an ad with the name of the game and some character's face as the main item. Even looking at the concept drawings had a neat slider function to swipe from "concept" to "what it ended up being" Creative through and through. Bonus was very short but this is full of achievements that are achievable, gorgeous and crisp, unique scenes that make you feel you're there. This is a well done game that takes some thought, thinking and I was so happy to have something I will pay several times.

A game like it used to be...yay! Show less
