There are two stories, one in modern times and the other in ancient China, which I tough was great.

Yes, the story and game are based on delicious Emily, there is mouse Carl to find and to fetch items, but that is the ONLY similarity. I am so pleased that there is no cooking and restaurant's tasks, instead you are at the archaeology site and the sites in ancient China are garden, concubine quarters, library, etc. Also, you can switch between two words, so the tasks are not too repetitive, and you don't need to play so many same levels like in the other games.

I bought it on a sale, buy one get one free.
Personally I think this is one of the best games of this type and I hope they make more. Show less

I purchased this game despite all of the negative reviews because TM games are my favorite genre, and I like to support the developers who make them.

The biggest criticism I have of the game is that it could have used a better tutorial at the beginning. The initial gameplay was slow and confusing, and the goals were unclear. When I figured it out (which didn't take that long, really), it was much more enjoyable.

I liked the storyline, and playing in both present-day and past settings. I wanted to know what happened to the woman in the past storyline, and I liked the fact that the women in the present-day storyline were not all identical in abilities or personality.

Gameplay was challenging and varied enough to keep me interested. Some of the minigames were quite difficult, especially on the levels where one of the goals is to attain a certain number of stars in minigames.

I hope to see more games like this! Show less

The time-management games from this company all feature women, and the main characteristic is their strength and perseverance. I like the game play with the storyline that has meaning and thought put behind it. This game is no exception. I hope that this is a trend going forward that these games continue with the time-management tasks and a good story as well.

Obviously a great deal of research went into the design, characters and costumes. Really fantastic.

It really played out like a great film, and the villaness was worth every penny. Some trouble navigating at first, but slowly got into the groove of it. The game is jam packed with interesting characters, mini-games and challenges - just couldn't put it down.

Great work!

Not sure why it got so many bad reviews, I really enjoyed the game and the storyline. The game is challenging, with unique minigames (unlike so many other games that are "more of the same"). Love!

This poor TM game doesn't deserve the tough reviews. Gameplay is very similar to other popular TM games such as Delicious (Emily), Primrose Lake etc - I LOVE this style of TM.

How much do you love becoming obsessed with a new TM game? I do and this is fantastic - I never want it to end.

This game offers some really different variations to these series, and requires a few levels to get the hang of (not difficult, just unique); I recommend trialling a good 20 mins as there's a lot of variation that is not apparent in the first 10 mins.

Sadly for the devs the first few short levels / 10 mins is a less enticing story with surprisingly sparse sound so I suspect loses a lot of audience early on, but the power is the ancient storyline that comes up a few levels in and surges with beautiful music and a fascinating plot. Once that kicked in I loved both storylines and became obsessed finding out more of the story!

Gameplaywise it can be surprisingly hard to get those TM fanatic's full stars, high scores, but the gamplay itself is fairly simple and similar to Delicious and Primrose Lake series that way.

Good to know: instructions are minimal to non-existent! This is either frustrating ... or an additional puzzle element lol. I took is as the ultimate puzzle challenge and jumped right in clicking everything in sight to see what happened and reaching all 3 stars.

The storylines that run parallel are an archaeology site and an ancient Chinese story. The archaeology site is unearthing artefacts piecing together the ancient story bit by bit. I LOVED this approach! You also get to learn about the artefacts as you go which I also loved. Th archaeology site is surprisingly accurate including what everyone is wearing haha!

This is great. Give it a try beyond 10 minutes- ideally 20-30 to really get a feel for how rich and rewarding this game is.

I hope the devs release a sequel! An absolute gem. Show less

Yes, it's a bit wordy, but you can always just skip the scenes (though I recommend you don't). I like the way the game alternates between the team of archeologists in the present day and ancient China. It was fun to learn a little bit about the different artefacts you unearth along the way.

Even the ending of the story, while unnecessarily melodramatic, was fun.

The gameplay isn't too hard - except for a few of the minigames - and because the story juxtaposes the past and the present, you're not in one location for so long you get bored. (Except the dig sites, sometimes you can be in one of those for a while.)

As has been mentioned, there are some glitches in the game that need to be fixed - in some scenes the pause button doesn't work and you have to force quit the game to get out being the most annoying one.

I hope they do more of these with different dig sites uncovering different characters and mysteries from the past because it's a refreshing change from the standard TM format. Show less
