This is similar to the others in this series, HOS and puzzles in between. Happy locations with no witches, devils or evil spirits. Good fun! Also, I had trouble with C++ too (even repairing) until I did this: I removed any old C++ packs from my machine (add and remove programs). uninstalled the game from the big fish game manager and then restarted. Then reinstall the game through the game ...Show more

You won't miss any of the entertainment by not owning the CE. It still contains a grand amount of HOPs and good variety of puzzles that can be played over and over again.

The ship is full of hustle and bustle, the passengers disembark at various ports and each scene is crowded and busy with people, little things going on in the background, ship activities to keep the boredom at bay, and the ideal crew keeps everyone happy.

The graphics are excellent, very sharp and so colorful, and I love the use of real-people characters. There is never a tech problem to interrupt the game. Some gamers mentioned an extra step involved to download, but that did not happen with me and everything runs smoothly.

With each new cruise being basically the same as the others, I am amazed that I still find it so delightful. It is a long game that has great replay value, it's good clean fun for all and keeps my HO skills from waning. The objects are small, some are hidden inside something and litter needs to be collected. The hint button won't leave you stranded but it does affect your score a little, the scoreboard after each level shows your accomplishments.

If you have not given this HO game a try yet, you may be very pleasantly surprised at what you find. A great entertainment value that (for me) is a nice break from the usual fare, I replay all of them a lot along with all the Park Ranger games. The demo doesn't scrimp, either, on the fun you can expect in the full version. No evil, no fantasy, no crazy tasks here, Just good old HO enjoyment. Show less

Such a well done game. All of the Vacation games (Cruise and Park Ranger) are beautifully done and I enjoy each and every one of them. I will always purchase the Vacation games - I have never been disappointed.

Have all of the Vacation Adventures games. This is by far the best. I really like the puzzles that teach you geography, flags, etc. of the countries being visited.

Okay, it's the same familiar gameplay with the same familiar cheesy features but this is one familiar Hidden Object Game that never gets old and never disappoints me. Vacation Adventures games are games I never have to try before I buy, I know I want them, I know I will play them and I absolutely know I will enjoy every minute of them!

You can play in a Casual Mode (untimed-faster hint recharge) a Challenge Mode (timed-normal hint recharge) or Extreme (timed-no available hints-all wildlife & recyclables must be found) There are 18 Achievements to earn for completing various tasks such as buying Souvenirs, earning an Eagle Eye award or completing the game. You can purchase 16 Cruise Souvenir's which are stored in a Display Case tab at the top of the screen.

Each scene has several Lost & Found Items (how does one lose a camera tripod and remember to take the camera but not the tripod or forget they just lugged a giant telescope on deck?) that are shown as silhouettes in a Portal to the left of the word search bar and when all items have been spotted, the portal will close. You will also Recycle cans, bottles, and paper found in each scene, and when all recyclables have been found, the Recycle Can icon lid will close. There are 16 Photo-op scenes that have a Camera Icon which allows you to take a photo for the photo album so don't forget to keep an eye out for those Photo Ops.

You will earn an Eagle Eye achievement if you don't use either the Hint or Mega Hint feature. The Magnifying Glass will show you a hint of one item and the Mega hint will show you the location of every item left to find. You'll earn a Bronze Star for completing the Search, a Silver Star if you find all Lost & Found items OR all Recyclable Items, and a Gold Star if you find all Lost & Found items AND all Recyclable items. Words listed in Blue require an interaction of some type, and words in Red are hidden inside or behind things, requiring you to click on an item to Open it or Solve it, which will reveal the hidden item. Most of the scenes have a Zoom Zone (indicated by sparkling stars) that have hidden items and sometimes include Recyclables or Lost & Found items. Levels can be replayed at any time to better your score or pick up missing Recyclable items or Lost & Found items. and the items to find are different each time you replay it.

After each Search Scene, you'll play a variety of Mini Games such as Placing Map Shapes, Spot The Difference, Word Search, or several different types of Jigsaw Puzzles (Rotate Squares, Swap Tile Sections, Flipsaw's, etc) The CE version includes a ton of replayable mini-games!

The game wants to repair C++ programmes but it will not complete that task. So halfway through the game a help arrow appears showing me how to look into the porthole at the items I have found and then will not go away so preventing any progress. This version has some of the same scenes as the many other ones I have. Get some new scenes and I will buy. I love the Vacation Adventure games but will not pay to see the same things

The game itself is great..but you have to scan over to get to your next screen every time you come back to home..it does not go the right scene by itself

Fun game, but I hope you aren't relying on this game to teach you proper geography. Apparently Chichen Itza is in Peru.... A little basic Google research is in order for the developers.

This goes for all the Casual Arts games (Vacation Adventures & Christmas Wonderland). It gets really old hearing the same couple songs over and over and over and OVER. I either have to shut the music off entirely or only play a couple minutes. Otherwise I can't stand to play. Also, would it hurt to get some new passengers? About the only differences we see are more people in wheelchairs, canes, or ...Show more

This goes for all the Casual Arts games (Vacation Adventures & Christmas Wonderland). It gets really old hearing the same couple songs over and over and over and OVER. About the only differences we see are more people in wheelchairs, canes, or hearing aids. (Equal opportunity developers). How many times can we see Bob and Mary in the same outfits in the same locations? This is a minor thing, but the music isn't. There's a similar game called Big Trip to Europe that has a long playlist of different songs so you don't get nauseous hearing the same music. Casual Arts could spend a couple bucks and do the same. And enough with that woman that sings in the Christmas and Park Ranger games. She's got an awful voice. I'm guessing one of the developer's mothers or something. Get rid of her! Show less
