Yea! It's Penguin Monday. This is an automatic buy for me.
I saved a credit just for this game. Fantasy Mosaics is my favorite mosaic games. The grid is easy to use and looks neat. The puzzles are not too difficult or too simple. I can't comment on the story or the music because I don't read the story and I always turn the music off in all of my games.

I love this game series and own every single game. Every one! I especially like that the colors are easily distinguishable, the grids don't hurt the eyes and you can change the type of 'filler' you want. A lot of games seem to have grids that, quite frankly, are not comfortable to look at or you can't tell the colors you're using from the background of the grid!

I love this game series and own every single game. Every one! I especially like that the colors are easily distinguishable, the grids don't hurt the eyes and you can change the type of 'filler' you want. A lot of games seem to have grids that, quite frankly, are not comfortable to look at or you can't tell the colors you're using from the background of the grid!

The story is always fun. The interactive games are enjoyable. Watching the house, yard, etc. come alive after every level is fun too. I can't comment on the music because I usually turn it off.

There are 3 game modes. I like the 'zen' mode. There are a number of colors and a lot of choices for the grid 'filler'. Fantasy Mosaics is a nice, relaxing, not-a-lot-of-thought-needed kind of game for me and I've replayed them over and over and over.

This series of games is an automatic buy for me. I have never been disappointed in a single game and I doubt I'll be disappointed this time. I don't need to play the demo but, please, play it and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Someone please help me with "Restore the Logic Pattern!" It's that shapes puzzle upstairs on top of a dresser with drawers that come out. It says to restore the logic pattern, but I don't see what the pattern is.

This one had a lot of interactive things you could click on. The only frustrating part was the mini-game logic box. I've tried every combination I could think of and can't get it to open. Since we don't have the forum anymore, can't get any help either.

I recommend this game!

It seems the level of difficulty has gone WAY down. Not good! Still playing very nice relaxing music which is a good thing. It seems they either have a new programmer who's cutting their teeth on games or someone made (the very bad) decision to make the puzzles a lot more simple. Ramp it up people!

I must admit, I'm pretty tired of the Penguin saga, didn't they just get back from the Haunted Forest...this tells me they are running out of Penguin dilemmas?

The Zen Mode has returned for those who prefer to solve the griddlers without all the hand/flipper holding. In Zen Mode, the numbers aren't crossed off but Mistakes aren't counted against you either, because chances are, you'll have to edit some of the cells as you switch between colors. You can delete filled-in or crossed-off cells by right-clicking the cell in Zen Mode, and you'll know you have completed a particular color correctly because a checkmark will appear on the color bubble.

You can play in a Casual Mode which crosses off the cells one by one, or the Advanced Mode, which only crosses off the remaining cells once the entire row and column have been filled in. You will earn a Gold trophy if you make no mistakes, a Silver trophy if you make one mistake, and a Bronze trophy if you make two mistakes. You will also earn up to three gold Stars if you don't use any hints, one star is deducted each time you use a hint. Therefore, it is possible to make a mistake or two but still earn 3 stars as long as you don't use any available hints.

There are 20 locations, and each location has 5 Griddlers and an additional mini-game. You can choose from 7 different tile sets, ranging in color vibrancy, and styles. Locked Colors can be disabled in the Settings menu, otherwise, some of the colors are locked and unavailable until you uncover color-specific keys that are hidden beneath some of the filled-in cells The Eye feature allows you to hide the grid to get a look at the puzzle without all the grid lines, and there is a reset icon that makes it much easier to restart the level if you make a mistake.

There are groups of numbers located on each column and row of the grid, each group of numbers must be separated by at least one blank or crossed off cell. Sometimes it's easier to cross-off cells that can't possibly contain a filled-in cell, which will reduce the number of cells and narrow the playing field down a bit, when you get stuck, you can switch colors and work back and forth until it's solved.

Some of the cells contain bonuses such as extra hints, extra mistakes allowed, or an extra pickax which allows you to choose which cell you want a hint on, and some cells contain keys to unlock colors (unless you disable this feature in settings) There is a Sun icon as well that when fully charged, will give you a mega-hint, filling in or crossing off a 3x3 area of your choice.

The pictures are cute, the colors are great, features are fun, there's always a new "adventure" and items for decorating, there are plenty of levels, the game runs smoothly. However, it is the same old thing forever. Why do we need so many? The only inkling of change I see with this one, and I may be wrong, is that the challenge has dwindled down. Obviously it's easier to be lazy than it is to be creative!

I wanted to play the entire demo but even the cute pictures weren't enough to keep it going for me. In the beginning, I used to love the penguins' little escapades and collecting. Never less than 5 stars! However, after 20 ( ! ) purchases and no changes it was time to stop. There are many fans of this series and I know this 49th addition will be perfect for your trick or treat entertainment. It will be a pass for me. Hope you enjoy!

If this is all we get for Halloween this year, I am sorely disappointed. The big day is right around the corner and we have nothing to show for it but a few sorry games that have a handful of reviews and a few stars. Big Fish is really slacking! I'll be content playing the great Halloween games from the good old days! Show less
