Look, I realize some people don't care for these, but there are some among us that do enjoy them. As they say, "to each his own". Always try for yourself. If you play enough of these you learn that you don't have to play all the Newbies to get to the professional side, nor do you have to replay the entire 10 decks on the professional side (if you don't obtain the number required) when you learn ...Show more

Look, I realize some people don't care for these, but there are some among us that do enjoy them. As they say, "to each his own". Always try for yourself. If you play enough of these you learn that you don't have to play all the Newbies to get to the professional side, nor do you have to replay the entire 10 decks on the professional side (if you don't obtain the number required) when you learn the tricks, which I am not going to tell. I dislike the fact 8floor says trophies or added characters to collect yet you do not have access to anything other than the games. Don't build up to things you don't produce. Put a bit more effort into your games or people will walk.

I don't recommend this game.

Another demo full of disappointment as it mirrors all the other games by 8 Floor and Somer. They never do us any favors, presenting the same game over and over again. If you have played or own any of their other solitaires you can by-pass this one, because you have already been there!

Another demo full of disappointment as it mirrors all the other games by 8 Floor and Somer. They never do us any favors, presenting the same game over and over again. If you have played or own any of their other solitaires you can by-pass this one, because you have already been there!

I don't like having to play the entire Newbie in order to unlock the Pro Mode and I don't care for replay options. The entire game should be open without restrictions. There were so many Gold Cards in the first level, they were hard to avoid. I did manage to work around them and with only one remaining I was able to clear the board. However, that won't always happen as the game progresses. We all know how that Gold Card thing works, ending the game prematurely, preventing us from using our own skills to win that perfect score.

The 9 card backs were very colorful, some interesting designs. The 3 fronts were the usual "plain Jane". Graphics were pretty good, backgrounds changed with the levels but they didn't reflect much of the fairytale theme. The Shop still has the same 3 purchases which I think are over-priced and add nothing special to the gameplay. More choices are definitely needed to increase the fun. Minimal is always the keyword in the solitaires from these devs. I didn't experience any glitches. Usually, if any are present, they show up fairly soon.

It's been apparent for ages that nothing ever motivates these devs to make any improvements to their games. When they continually ignore the feedback from the reviewers disaster is usually the outcome, for US, not for them. They keep raking in the $$ from players who don't mind the inadequate quality and from new ones who haven't caught on yet.

We don't seem to matter in the grand scheme of things. So along as Big Fish lets them in, someone is going to be buying a whole lot of nothing, in my opinion. I would rather support the developers who regard the opinions of the reviewers and care enough to make some changes if necessary. Give the demo a try, you might have a much better experience than me and find the fun you are looking for. Show less

It's pretty Grimm when you know exactly what features a game will have even before downloading the demo. It's pretty Grimm when you know the music and sounds by heart. It's pretty Grimm when you know the Shop will have the same 3 items for the same prices. It's pretty Grimm when you know the levels by heart because they are always the same. It's horribly Grimm when you know for a fact that it will be another Solitaire game that doesn't allow you to remove all of the cards and that the game will end when you remove the Gold cards...it's a Grimm Tale indeed!

The features never change on games by this dev, the features included in the first solitaire game they released will be the same features offered in their latest solitaire game 8 years later! You can choose from 9 uninteresting themed card backs and 3 different face card fonts. You are forced to begin the game in Newbie mode, which allows you to replay any hand, then, if you prefer, you can switch to the Professional mode which only allows you to replay the entire pack of 10 levels.

You need to earn the specified amount of points to unlock the next pack, and the scoring is similar to bowling, in the event of a perfect score, the points of that level are added to the next.

The tutorial always makes you click another card off of the deck even though there are several playable card options available on the board. (but then again, you don't really need a tutorial if you have played any other solitaire game by this dev)

When you remove a Bonus card with a Swirly Gem it will take forever as it freezes continued gameplay to tell you what you won. Most of the time it gives you +499 extra points, but occasionally, you'll get a Joker, Mulligan, or a Shuffle, because it takes so long, finding two of these cards back to back is sheer agony!
