I love this developer dearly because he always strives to create a better version each time, but my adoration for this developer hasn't clouded my judgment. I can honestly say that Puzzle Pieces 5: Fairy Ring is 100% perfection, I loved everything about this game and I have never seen such interesting puzzle images in one game...not to mention a fairy adventure that gently unfolds as you progress! ...Show more

I can honestly say that Puzzle Pieces 5: Fairy Ring is 100% perfection, I loved everything about this game and I have never seen such interesting puzzle images in one game...not to mention a fairy adventure that gently unfolds as you progress!

The graphics have been refined and the developer has paid attention to every detail, if I had to use one word to describe this game, I would probably go with Elegance. My favorite genre of all time is and has always been Jigsaw Puzzles and this my friends has just made it to my number one personal favorite jigsaw game...it just bumped out a game I have played every day for the last 6 years!

Some jigsaw puzzles have features that make you feel stressed with timers or hard to reach goals, the atmosphere is chaotic, frustrating, and anything but zen. Puzzle Pieces 5: Fairy Ring is peaceful, relaxing, and Zen! Each puzzle completed fills the Mana, and each puzzle is 100% customizable with so many different puzzle shapes, the number of pieces desired, background, brightness, pictured images, ghosted images, and more, you even get to choose whether or not you want a Timer. You'll earn points for completing the puzzle with or without the timer, (some puzzles are more difficult than others and worth more points) which fills the mana meter and uncovers the secrets hidden within the Enchanted Forest.

One thing that puts this and a few other developers above the rest is they listen to the people who matter, you and me.

The second game he took on all the reviews etc and it showed ,and each time another game came out he took on all the advise throughout and goes beyond the call of duty to provide us with the game we want.

If only other developers listen but alas with some it is like talking to a brick wall.

On to the game, they just get better and better.
I appreciate that jigsaws are not everyones thing but for me these games have everything I need in a jigsaw.

The pictures are amazing, there are so many variants that you can have to your puzzles. even lightening up the picture if you find it too dark.
If you like your jigsaws you will love this and also remember folks that people who give detailed reviews on here do it in their own free time to enable you to have a good insight in to the game. I respect each and every one of you for that.

One small thing that I found and it is not a problem at all and apparently is to do with the mechanics of the game and you can bet they will see if there is anything they can do is,

I wanted to try the rectangular pieces but once you enter the puzzle you can not change the shape of the piece. I did not like the rectangular pieces so wanted to change. The only way was to exit the puzzle and restart from scratch.

Not a problem but just wanted you to know that in case you were trying to do the same as I was.

There are so many wonderful puzzles to do here with mana to collect and scenes to build.
It really is worth buying and think how much all this would cost to buy actual jigsaws from a store.

This is a way to de stress and if you want a timer you can even add that.

Once again thank you to Graphium Studios , you have a fan for life.

This one is bigger, better and more beautiful than Puzzle Pieces 4 and that one was amazing! Everything about this new collection is stellar. The variety of images is just wonderful, brimming with mystical, magical, dreamy images and the colors are scrumptious. No crazy neons. Just beautiful color.

When I discovered Jigsaws Galore many moons ago, I thought I was in puzzle Heaven, but Puzzle Pieces takes me to higher altitudes of fun and relaxation. Quality to the max!! It is impossible to fake quality. This game has just that! Quality. The colors are beautiful, the music is very nice, and the challenge is up to the gamer. I really like it.

I love the games in this entire series as well as some of the other jigsaw puzzle games made by this developer.

Of course, I am biased with my review because jigsaws are my favorite genre offered on Big Fish.

What is new other than the pictures, of course, is that you can purchase 'buildings' with mana, the new resource you obtain by doing puzzles in this game.

I won't go into the details on how this game plays or on the many options available since this has been covered by other reviewers quite well, but I will actually mention two things I saw in other peoples' reviews and then an issue I have.

For one, you can usually download a finished puzzle as a PNG image, which you can then set as a wallpaper. They have had this as a feature for a while in their games. Once you have finished a puzzle, go back into the chapter that the puzzle belongs to, click on the little pinkish flag icon (has an eye in it) and it will take you to a large image of the puzzle. In the upper left-hand corner, there's an icon you can click on for downloading the image and voilà: you have it as an image you can set as a wallpaper if you want.

I also saw someone mention that there are no trays and also have seen elsewhere that people wish they could move several pieces around at a time. Well you can: there's a tray that you can open in the bottom middle of the screen where you can place puzzle pieces and then move around the play area. I use this feature a lot, it's very useful! This too has been a feature of their game since Puzzle Pieces 2 at the least.

Now for a quibble though I think this is more of a Big Fish issue than the developer studio's issue: if I have other games from this dev installed on my computer at the same time, the finished puzzles and score are shared between all of the games.

After nosing around in my game files, I think I have traced it to how game resources are shared between games installed by Big Fish and the fact that you only have one profile (the same one) shared between all of them for this dev's games. As a result, I can't easily have several games from this developer on my machine at the same time without having to restart puzzles: if I do one in one game, it's done in another.

It would be nice to have a way to separate out the game files so that this doesn't happen.

Any chance this could be looked into? So far this is the only developer who seems to have this issue for me.

Once I have finished my other games made by this dev, this will be a definite purchase! Show less

Am not a puzzle person so this is the first one I've purchased based on the reviews and graphics and am thoroughly enjoying it. A few things to get used to: you don't create a player name, no options like turning the music up or down or choosing a level of difficulty. Love the jigsaws from this developer...they chose beautiful pictures for the puzzle...I have all their puzzle games and am not disappointed with any of them...they do puzzles right.

We die hard jigsaw puzzle fans have been hooked on David Gray's Jigsaws Galore version 7.22 since it was released by BF, and I'll be the first to admit that Puzzle Pieces is a prime contender for 1st place.

Alas, for those of us who can't see all that well, Jigsaws Galore (JG) remains in the lead. Here's why.

1. JG: we can increase the size of the puzzle pieces (my pieces are adjusted to 80% of full size, which is pretty darn big), yet all pieces can be viewed on the board at the same time. Puzzle Pieces (PP) only zooms in on the entire board. At my size requirement, I can only view a few pieces at a time.
2. JG: we can choose just one piece shape, or a variety of shapes. PP only allows for one piece shape per puzzle.
3. JG features "fun pieces" - clowns, dogs, cats, etc., and the ability to create your own fun pieces. PP has none of that.
4. JG: we can choose to gather pieces into trays such as one for fun pieces, one for middle pieces, plus create extra trays if we want to isolate a certain color section and just work on that or trays for whatever we want. The piece size adjusts to the size of the tray, which can be re-sized to whatever dimension we require. We can also name the trays so we don't forget what's in them when they are closed and listed at the bottom of the board. PP doesn't have that option.
5. JG allows us to sort pieces by shape or sort by color. For instance, when you want to only work on the edge pieces, you can tray all the others (fun/middle) from the main board, sort by shape, sort at edge or grid (mixed up in the middle of the board), and there you go - all the edge pieces are available for us to fit together. Not available in PP.
6. JG is unlimited; in other words, we can import any graphic we want, and it will be turned into a jigsaw puzzle. I get 100% of my images from Desktop Nexus in the Fantasy section and other wallpaper sections depending on what I fancy at the time. Didn't find a feature for that in PP. Oh I agree, PP's images are so achingly beautiful that they nearly make me cry and I really hope upon hope that they are what Heaven looks like, but when they run out, there you are: done.

I'm pretty sure I could keep going, and certainly hope the Puzzle Pieces dev reads this because I so want to play all the editions, however, I did not delve deeply enough into PP to make any further comparisons. Show less

this is a very well made game & glad i bought it. the only problem i have is when the pieces get put onto the canvas screen of my computer, the border edge lines for the corners blends in with the puzzle pieces. i spend more time pushing the pieces aside. i am glad i can change the background of my computer screen. i also like the fact i can choose how many pieces i can put onto my computer ...Show more

I tried one of these games and for the most part enjoyed it. But, this one has a lot of repeated puzzles. Sometimes the whole puzzle is one I've done before.
