This 5th edition of Our Beautiful Earth is 100% entertainment! I've always loved all creatures great and small, and that's exactly what you'll find when you play this Nature-themed game, from tiny insects to giant elephants. This 5th edition of Our Beautiful Earth is 100% entertainment! I've always loved all creatures great and small, and that's exactly what you'll find when you play this Nature-themed game, from tiny insects to giant elephants. What's even more incredible is that they somehow manage to slip in elephants, giraffes, and rhinos in some of the scenes yet they don't seem out of proportion size-wise, not to mention they don't always stick out like a sore thumb!

Each of the 30 scene locations has 3 adorable cats that meow when you click on them and you'll earn extra points as well. Each level also has a hidden Camera that will reward you with a location screenshot, and there is a hidden Paw Print Tile of various critters in each level, (ignore the fact that dolphins & birds don't have paws lol) Wouldn't it make more sense to have the Pawprint Tile open up to reveal that animals real print, even if it's just a flipper or dorsal fin?

Each scene has 2 Sub-scenes or Zoom Zones that will appear as Boxes on the Right side that come and go as objects are found and new ones added. You can play in a Casual or Challenge Mode, depending on how fast you want the Hint & Puzzle Skip buttons to recharge. There are no Misclick Penalties or Timers so this HOG is very relaxing, peaceful, and enjoyable to play, especially if you love animals, nature, and wildlife! Each location gives you a little fun fact at the start of each HO scene which I found very interesting.

You can earn up to 3-stars, the first Star is earned for finding all 18 Listed Objects, a second Star for finding all 3 Cats, and a 3rd Star for finding the Paw Print Tile. Coins earned for completing the HOGs and Mini-games are used in the Gift Shop to reveal animals on a beautiful Wallpaper Scene.

After each Hidden Object Scene, you will play a Puzzle or Mini-Game such as Spot the Difference, Memory Matching Animal Pairs, Rotate & Drag Tetris-Shaped Puzzle Pieces into Place, Mahjong. Jigsaws, and even Mosaic Griddlers. The Spot the Differences images are really subtle so they can be quite challenging and I don't normally like Mahjong but this was a classic Mahjong type that held my interest.

(HOS)- There are 30 hidden object scenes in the game. So there are also 30 pictures in your photo album. Each scene has 18 items to find.

(MG) There are many types of Mini Games. Find the difference, 18pc jigsaw (the jigsaw pieces made snapping noises and again, I was way too elated over that. ha ha), match 2, mahjong, fit the different shaped pieces into a grid to make them fit. Any of the MG can be skipped (cool.)

GIFT TAB: As you complete the HOS you earn game currency to purchase up to 14 "gifts". I liked these gifts a lot. :)
PHOTO BOOK TAB: Saves all the pictures you snap when you find a camera in a HOS. It would have been cool if they had labeled each location in the actual snapshot you keep too. Seems I'd love to go to Amsterdam, Netherlands (looks like Venice)

ZOOM ZONES: The 2ndary windows in this game are a bit different than other games of its type. They are located in a vertical column on the R-middle of the main screen. The zz will open & close according to when items are currently there.

GRAPHICS- Real photos make for crystal clear game play even on a large monitor.

SFX- Is a cut above. There is a perfect balance of calming environmental sounds in some scenes and very pretty music in others. You can hear the beach waves, waterfalls, birds chirping... Wow. Just wow. Now this is how it's done in this kind of game! A+++++

This game is awesome. I'd rate it higher than 5* if possible.

Graphics are impressive, so bright and crystal clear. The colors are true because it is all real scenery. But without a big screen PC or super-vision I struggle to find the items. They are so small and well blended into the very busy scenes! The game is in dire need of a magnifier. It takes a long time to locate everything because I don't like using the Hint. However, that does not take away from the quality of this fun HOG. I do wish, though, that it had more levels.

I love the cities being covered in this game and enjoy the brief description of each location. The animals are an extra treat and even they are often hard to spot in the densely covered locales, not to mention the insects and little birds! The challenge is really satisfying and makes this a superior hidden object game. The zoom areas may contain one of the kitties, so remember to be on the look-out. I like that nature and animals, including wildlife are the main attractions. Never care for out of place, silly items in disproportionate sizes so without them Our Beautiful Earth gets an extra thumbs up from me.

There's a gift shop to spend your earnings in, my demo purchase was an elephant which will be part of a wallpaper when all purchases are made. A good variety of mini-games are a bonus. I had fun with a jigsaw and spot the difference game in the demo. They were challenging but not overly so. The objects in spot the difference were very small and I liked the extra difficulty. I loved the way the jigsaw puzzle assembled, especially how the pieces fit into the picture leaving no seams around them. Really lovely!

After the demo I was ready to purchase Our Beautiful Earth 5. Didn't have to give it a second thought. Hopefully you will have fun with it too. Thankfully, I have a good magnifying glass so I can get around my only negative. It would be unfair to lower my rating for just that one thing. Show less

I like this game, and while some creatures are found in places where they don't belong, I don't care. I simply like looking for them. Always interesting backgrounds, the little kitties are often hard to find, as are the cameras, but just simple, easy, relaxing fun.

I recommend this game!

This is a great series. Very relaxing, beautiful scenes, a buy for me. If you have not tried this series this is a great one to start with. Each one is a stand alone game. I think if you try them you will also buy them all.

I absolutely love this series! No story-line, just beautiful scenes, and puzzles after each one. I became an instant fan of this series, bought all five of them....can't wait for number six! I recommend this game. If anything on the down-side, I just wish it was a much longer game.

I have bought all 4 of these games and will soon add #5. I love this game series. I love animals so this is perfect. I honestly have nothing bad to say except I hated when I got to the end. Wish it could go on and on.

I really love this series of games, it's a nice escape from some of the darker games where you have to go back and forth until you get dizzy, this game and others in the series are not particularly challenging (imo) however, the beautiful scenes make up for that, lots of wonderful places to visit and puzzles in between each HoG scene, all great fun, though I don't understand the mosaic puzzles at ...Show more
