It looks like everything we have been asking for in a jigsaw puzzle game has been given to us with this gorgeous holiday themed game. I haven't tried the games that came before this so it looks like I'm in for another treat.

There is every kind of adjustment you can think of both in terms of the play itself as well as customizing the pieces, the playboard, the desktop colors and you can change any feature in options at any time.

- YOU CAN UPLOAD YOUR OWN PICTURES to play.

-The holiday images are gorgeous and so thought out. Some are beautiful, some are cute and I loved every single image.
- The music is good
- You even get points each puzzle to use on an Advent Calendar upgrade. You get the first surprise after 60 min.
-When your picture is complete you can save it to your computer to use as desktop wallpapers.

-This game is an instant buy for me. This is honestly the best computer jigsaw game I have ever played.

I'm a content busy bee in my little corner of puzzle heaven. I don't even know why I keep buying them with so many to assemble at this point, except for the fact that they are so amazingly beautiful and fun. From the beginning this developer has paid attention to our reviews. As a result we have this delightful series that any puzzle enthusiast will find hard to resist. I highly recommend Numbers 2-5 and suggest checking the reviews for Number 1 which was the turning point for these wonderful puzzles.

Today's Winter/Christmas theme is right on time to get us in the mood for the season. Give the demo a whirl, especially if not familiar with Puzzle Pieces you'll want to check out the options/features, to see how they work. So desperate was I to get this game I was able to download at 4am my time and I was not disappointed.

Here follows a classic example of how different we all are and I read Pennmom's review re the images and for me I absolutely loved them. What I liked was the diversity . They were not all tinsel and baubles. Some are very glitzy, some are drawings, cartoonish characters, animals, all of whom have a Christmas/winter feel despite some of us being in Summer but that's ok.

The advent theme I loved and as always with this developer they provide us with many options.
I did get the feeling of Christmas and I also loved that I could now warm up the picture.
I would maybe have liked that the advent calendar was numbered but that's just me being an old traditionalist.

One thing that puts this developer above many others is he cares and listens to what people say.
He will read all our reviews and take on what we all say.

All my favorite features are here including sorting the edges out and being able to put in your own images.
Try the demo and see what you think but for me it is a winner.

He knows I have issues with the shadowy pieces, which I think may only occur in the Mac version, and he is working on it. I love the beautiful pictures he selects; however, I really like the puzzles with a lot of color, rather than dark ones. I agree that it would be great to be able to grab a selection of pieces and move them all at once, rather than piece by piece. I know that's what takes a lot of my time, even though I don't use the timer. That's when the shadowy pieces come into play, almost as though the "timer" has run out, even though the timer wasn't selected. So far, I have purchased each and every Puzzle Pieces game by this Developer. I get very excited when a new one is released. Thank you to Graphium. Show less

I love jigsaws...good ones...and this is one with many jigsaws and a great variety...there are a few game developers I look for when a new jigsaw is here...the pictures are great...and they aren't all Christmas types...Puzzle pieces is one of my favorites...thank you for a Christmas Jigsaw.

I especially like the hand-drawn ones here. So far my favourite is the sepia-toned imaginary scene of adobe homes in a desert landscape. I don't always want to solve photographed pictures, although they can be fun too, just not all the time, over and over.

I also enjoyed the gorgeous puzzle of three prancing horses pulling a sleigh with a teddy bear playing a music box (not a photograph).

Oddly enough, while I like these artistic interpretations, I don't enjoy sci-fi fantasy scenes. My life has enough weirdness in it; give me something peaceful or joyful instead. And no cats or dogs in human clothes! It's demeaning to the nobility of the animal. (Just my opinion; I know that many people like it).

Many thanks to this developer for all of the time and energy put into developing these games, and their responsiveness to our feedback.

My only quibble is that the music soundtrack needs to be on a never-ending continuous loop for as long as the person is working on the puzzles. I believe it is continuous on # 7, so I think this has been solved. But it's pretty jarring here on # 6 when it just ends. That's the reason I knocked off a star under "Visual/Sound Quality".

Other than that, these puzzles are perfect! and excellent!, and we appreciate this developer!!

If you like jigsaws, you'll like Puzzle Pieces 6 and 7 !!!! Show less

I absolutely loved the images in Fairy Ring and although I like the concept of finishing puzzles to earn Snowflakes to unlock each Advent Room, I wasn't crazy about the selection of images this go-round. It's still an amazing puzzle game and I love this developer immensely because he truly does care about making the best game possible!

There are 6 Categories with 46 puzzles each, a section to add your own images, and a Surprise Chapter available. Each puzzle is 100% customizable with so many different puzzle shapes, the number of pieces desired, background, brightness, pictured images, ghosted images, and more, you even get to choose whether or not you want a Timer. You'll earn Snowflakes for completing the puzzle with or without the timer, (some puzzles are more difficult than others and worth more) The Snowflakes allow you to unlock Rooms on the Advent to explore.

I really, really want to see a couple of features added to this series...I want to be able to adjust the opaqueness of the Ghosted Image and a feature that allows me to grab groups of pieces and click a tab that straightens that group into a tidy section (or at least a tab that straightens up all pieces remaining on the board. It would be cool if the pieces made a clicking noise when placed as well.

In previous games they said you can buy more time (I'm also guessing that this would prevent the shadows) but not sure since I can not figure out HOW to add time-and searching online got me no results-I can't be the only person frustrated trying to finish a picture and without any forums for troubleshooting it's upsetting to have to start puzzle after puzzle and leave them halfway through due to the shadows. I can't count how many of them I have partially done in each game and since it seems to be a time related thing-as soon as I get the shadow effects even if I come back to the puzzle later it STILL has it no matter how many other puzzles I do in between-it does seem to give me one shot at placing a piece after I've correctly placed another but if I click on another piece that option disappears. I wish there was someway we could contact someone to find out why this is happening and how to change it.
I'm also with Pennmom36 about having an option to pick up multiple pieces to move them-I would say half the time I use up in these puzzles is moving pieces around.
Well, I guess I'll just have to be happy with half finished puzzles... :( Show less

Perhaps I kid myself. I have a new 16" MacBook Pro with an enhanced video card so I believe my machine can handle any game BFG throws at it. Therefore, if there are bugs in a game, I am certain it is not the fault of an inadequate computer.

However, I don't believe I kid myself. This game is ridiculously buggy. The red border at the top and bottom will begin flashing in such a manner that it is painful to the eye and I cannot shut the program down fast enough.

That is just one of the bugs. I could list them but I believe it is sufficient to report that there are many.

The game is playable. If I close and reopen the game enough times, I have extended periods of being able to play and that time is enjoyable and challenging. I choose more than 1000 pieces and that makes it interesting when I am able to play it.

If you are interested in the game, I recommend that you try the demo first. If you can have patience to baby the app to try to get to the fun part, you will enjoy it. If you have little patience for games released with bugs, this is not the game for you. Show less
