Even more to do in this 3rd episode of life on the railways

For those of us whom love TM games this is up there with the
best.
Even on relaxed this is a challenge and there is so much to do.
At first you may think it is very alike the previous games but this time there is much more emphasise on actually building the railway wheras before most of the railways were already built.

best.
Even on relaxed this is a challenge and there is so much to do.
At first you may think it is very alike the previous games but this time there is much more emphasise on actually building the railway wheras before most of the railways were already built.

Of course you have the usual things to do which make this game out there on its own really as the building of the railways and getting the supplies from trains you will be hard pushed to find in any other TM game.

One difference I like here is that you no longer have to get a rainmaker to make the trees grow, the rain comes automatically and the trees grow again free of charge.
The hidden owls I found relatively easy to find without the use of the guide just look for a clump of trees and hover the cursor around .If it is there it will pop up.

One thing I did find strange in a funny way is the villain who does not want you to be successful in building the railways sells you the tools needed to carry on.
At the moment he is not really much of a villain.

Tm's are not for everyone but neither are Hopas and paint games. We all have our favorites but if you love tm games you will love this one.

A good mix of the first two...just good TM fun

I can't see any features here (other than where the bonuses come from)..that are not covered between the first two games of this series, but the quallity and strategy and all round fun is still worthy of 5 stars.

The wigwams are here...the traders are here, houses, piles of gold and ore...and most importantly that railroad that always needs station and rail repair but brings you your much needed stocks.

The collectables are on each level. The owls..and they are marked on the strategy guide. (located in the bonus catagory). If you miss one you can just go back and get it..then leave and keep your stars.

Bonuses are generated as you progress through the game...more % collected of resources, faster work etc and are located in the 'train carriage' .

To quickly sum up...familiar features and game play..but plenty of scenery change, and you DO need to use strategy to finish in timed mode. No slouching allowed lol. I have a soft spot for this series..just enough bells and whistles to keep you on your toes without being frustrating. (there is a relax and expert mode) I have enough trouble getting through in normal. Its fast, it's smooth and feel good. Enjoy. Show less

I love these Golden Rails games. Have been waiting for a new time management game that isn't of the 'diner" variety. Finally, FINALLY I can stop replaying all the old games! New Yankee, Rescue Team, Incredible Dracula - I've even gone back to the Scruffs and Gardenscape to keep playing! Thank you for a new version of an old favorite!

I have all the other games in this series and will be adding this one. Others have gone into great detail, so I'll just add my 5 stars in the hopes someone who isn't familiar with the series might give it a try. The story is always fun as our heroes build new railroads and do what they can to help others. Of course there has to be a greedy villain. I very seldom buy CEs, but this is one that I will be buying the CE version for the extra levels since it's such an enjoyable game. I was excited when I saw this new installment. The game does not disappoint. The upgrades are good. The game play is familiar, and the challenge is there. I am enjoying the game and I know you will too.

I really enjoyed this addition to the Golden Rails series. Not a whole lot new here but it's still a really fun game. It's well thought out and more TM developers should take note of how to do it well.

I enjoy playing games from this developer it makes a change to play a game on the Wild West. This is similar to the other games that I play using this format except there is the addition of repairing railways this makes a change for me. I enjoyed playing this series so far
