I really enjoyed this game, was surprised that it has such low star rating. It has extra's like CE's have, the objects are varied in how tough they are to find, in part from how many objects are on the screen but also due to size. I really love ones that are a challenge and this had some of everything. Give it a try!
I recommend this game!

This is a no-thrills, decent travel HOG that is composed of mainly HO scenes and some puzzles.
From what I saw in the demo, the locations were European, so I hope that there are locations elsewhere in the world.
After completing two or so HO scenes, there's a puzzle that mixes things up a little. I played a spot-the-differences puzzle and one where I had to swap tiles around.
I saw two types of object lists so far: normal and missing vowel, though another reviewer said that there are three types available. It looks like one has to revisit each location around four or so times. Each revisit provides a different type of object list and, unfortunately, there is no way to choose which kind you want to play.
Here are the pros:
- The subject matter of the scenes is very good. So far all of the scenes are of beautiful or interesting places. I liked the fact that you can see people in them, it makes the game more realistic.
- Two morphing objects per scene that are challenging to find. One of these is a passport stamp and the other is a letter. Each scene provides one fourth of the stamp of the country where the scene is located. Each letter is a piece of a postcard of the scene the letter is found in. I really like this aspect since it feels very appropriate in a game about travel.
- Three game modes, the ability to zoom in and scroll around the scene, hints and megahints, and it's got replay value in order to get three stars and boost your score by finding objects more quickly. You use the coins you earn from a high school to purchase souvenirs though you have no idea what the souvenirs are of. For example, a blue baseball cap. Great!
- The HO scenes are challenging since the objects can be a little hard to find. On some modes, using a hint lowers your score. The objects can be very precise, such as 'Dark grapes' or 'Round paint brush'. This is a good idea in my view, it keeps me on my toes.
Here are the cons:
- Fuzzy graphics, not quite sure why the resolution is so low. It's a shame for a travel game!
- Annoying sound effects and I'm not sure that there is any music in the game. This is perhaps a mixed blessing, because I usually turn the music off in these games.
- No hint button on the puzzles, which means that if you're stuck, the only thing you can do is skip the puzzle.
- The objects remain in the same location each time you revisit it.
- Really minimalist, boring UI. This is a complaint of mine in many Seven Sails games. It does the job, but only just. If they would show it even just a little bit of love... I could be wrong but it seems like some of the objects at the very bottom of the scene are actually hidden behind the bottom part of the UI. At least on my machine, I had to zoom in and scroll all the way down so I could see them.
Overall, I think that this is really not a bad HOG at all though it could use a bit more polish. Show less

I'm not too keen on this game. Seven Sails usually brings us good stuff but I felt this one could have been better. We have lots of travel HOGs and this is basically the same as the others. I played the entire demo and didn't come away feeling I would miss anything if I didn't buy it.

The graphics were not the greatest so that made it a bit tough to find things. The colors were kind of "muddy" and the sharpness was missing. Items were small, hard to distinguish but not always due to being well blended. I just couldn't tell what they were. There are Easy, Medium and Hard Game Modes. I played Easy in the demo and really don't think I would have made much progress otherwise.
There are 3 different object lists: Standard, Missing Vowels and Scrambled Letters. Also hidden in each scene are 1 Passport Stamp and 1 morphing Letter or Postcard. They were quite difficult to spot, the morph being the hardest. I wasn't sure what the stamp would look like so I struggled with that in the beginning but it is very faint and easy to overlook. A green check mark appears in a suitcase at top of screen indicating that they have been found, hover your mouse over it to open. If you miss any, the scenes can be replayed and they can be picked up, only after the entire game is completed.
Thankfully, there is a Zoom Feature available by clicking the magnifier. It is kind of sticky, it will take you top and bottom, left and right. Doesn't zoom enough, IMO, but helps quite a bit, with the objects being so small and indistinct. You also have a Hint and Mega Hint to help out, which I had to use several times. Finding objects quickly, in succession, earns more $$. The coins are used in the Souvenir Shop, items are a little pricey.
There's a Photo Album for the letters and postcards, a Passport for the passport stamps. I don't know what types of mini games there are, other than the one Find-The-Difference I played in the demo. It contained 20 differences and wasn't too challenging, but it is one of my favorites. After completing several HO scenes, a mini game is available. Choose your starting point on the Map by clicking on the picture of the scene. The scenes are full of all sorts of things including real people tourists.
I don't think I would have much fun with Travel Along because the HOs were too difficult to locate, my eyesight not being the best. Having to rely on the hints would take away too much of the enjoyment and satisfaction. I'm always up for a good challenge, but can't be proud of myself if I have to cheat.
This is a good HOG with plenty of locations, a variety of HO styles, lots of items on the lists, good challenge, mini games. Not the best but it will certainly keep you busy for a good long while and the 3 game modes keep it interesting. Even the Easy Mode was not "a piece of cake", for me, but that was due partly to the graphics. Sadly, I have to pass on this one because it would be more frustrating than fun. Show less

I used my monthly game credit to purchase this game because I had canceled my membership due to BF not providing me with enough quality games to choose from. BF has changed over the many years that I have been a member. It's just not worth the price of a membership, IMO.

I'm thinking a tornado must have swept through these towns because every scene has hundreds of random objects spewed about so I think I'm supposed to find my 18 personal belongings in every city, ⍤ But that's okay, this is just a typical, retro Travel-themed HOG and I'm sure there are those who would prefer to search for objects that aren't actually "hidden" in fact, the game does present somewhat of a challenge because there are so many objects to sift through, especially when playing on the Timed Mode.
You can play in an Easy Mode with no timer or misclick penalties and a 10-second hint recharge, a Normal Mode with unlimited time, a 20-second hint recharge, and misclick penalties, or a Hard Mode with misclick penalties, a 45-second hint recharge, and a timer that gives you 3-minutes to find all 18 objects.
There is a Magnifying Glass and 2 types of Hints available, one that highlights a single random object, and a Mega Hint that reveals all listed items remaining. You will earn Combo points for back-to-back selections and there are 12 Souvenirs to purchase with the points earned. My biggest complaint is that you can't replay a level when you don't earn all 3 stars.
Each scene has a Passport Stamp and a Morphing Postcard that was actually easier to spot than the main objects were. There is a suitcase at the top of the screen that keeps track of the collectibles and you can replay the scenes to search for missed collectibles once you complete the game. After playing a few HO scenes, you can play a mini-game, such as Spot The Differences (which btw was a decent game with the perfect amount of challenge) The HO's vary with different modes, such as Missing Vowels, Scrambled Letters, and of course, Listed Items.
Unfortunately, some of the objects are blurry and almost unrecognizable, the colors are rather dull and the chosen "travel" locations seem ordinary and certainly didn't give me an incentive to put these vacation destinations on my bucket list! I do love this developer, his heart is always in the right place, so I'm confident that the next Travel Along game will have many improvements.

One thing I really thought was bad was the definition of the pictures and items. They seemed blurred and hard to make out. This harks back to much older games and looks like it was developed years ago. I did buy it because I like these types of HO games but I found it very hard to look at. Not sure if I should have bought it
I don't recommend this game.

When I tested the first scenes in the only TWO areas apparently available, EACH were VERY BUSY, FUZZY, OVER-COMPLICATED SCENES. In one scene, after 5 minutes, I only found ONE of the items. IF the SCENES were CLEAN (while still having LOTS of items within) AND AS LOVELY AS THE PROMO PICTURE, I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT IN A SECOND.
I don't recommend this game.
