This was a good, standard Big Fish Hidden Object game.

The long HOPA hiatus has not reset Domini Games. They had plenty of time to do some homework and improve their games, clearly, they didn't use their time wisely because the storyline is dreadfully boring and the gameplay has the same MO. Every HOPA cliche was thrown into just 3 chapters, in fact, most of them were in the first chapter! At least the other developer attempted to improve last week's game!
Audio/Visuals & Game Mechanics:
Domini has always had crisp, detailed graphics even though they sometimes struggle with the color palette which tends to have an overabundance of one dominant color for each game. The audio always seems spot on and you'll probably never notice looped soundtracks, but that's exactly how background music should work, it should go unnoticed while subconsciously stimulating the brain to recognize the ebbs, floes, and climaxes of the storyline. Domini is famous for adding items that can be interacted with, however, they seem to be far and few between lately. This is the only area where Domini shines, it's a pity because back in the day, they had the best fantasy storylines and their games were so entertaining!
Gadgets/Helper:
You will switch between playing both "twins"
Elenor Jones: a carefree spirit with Paranormal Sensitivities
Randall Jones: a Detective who doesn't believe in his twin sister Elenor's Paranormal sensitivities, in fact, he believes everything has a logical or scientific explanation.
Collectibles & Morphing Objects (CE Version Only):
Once again, there are a gazillion Missing Notes to discover, 15 Morphing Randall's Equipment Items (why not Elenor & Randall?) and15 Movie Posters to collect. Once again, there are 64 Zoom Zone Movie Tickets that are used to purchase 15 Projection Booth items. There is an optional Collection Icon Tab that can be enabled or disabled in the settings menu that lights up when a clickable is available in the scene. You can also choose to show/hide the availability of collectibles on the Map.
Hidden Object Scenes:
I found the HOs to be rather boring, the locations are unappealing, and the objects are unimaginative. There was a movie projector HO scene that required you to place objects pictured on film strips but it was difficult to tell where they went in the 3 different scenes because everything was the same drab color and some of the objects were impossible to tell what they were!
There is an alternate Match 3 Game available, which still doesn't allow you to make consecutive matches quickly because you have to wait for all tiles to stop falling before you can make the next match which makes the game super boring. The levels never change, most of the time they don't even bother to change the icons. The M3 boards are always square and they never add obstacles or new features to make it progress in difficulty. FYI: one of the achievements requires you to play the alternate Match 3 game in place of the HOS.
Mini-Games:
I did enjoy most of the mini-games, many of which were mechanical where you have to fill certain levels or move the main gears in various patterns to change paths carved out of gears. You can choose to play them in an Easy or Hard difficulty mode and you can choose which mode to have them start out in the Custom Setting (you can still switch between modes for each individual game)
Bonus Chapter (CE Version Only)
I'll be honest, I didn't pay much attention to the Bonus Chapter's plot about a love triangle because I was extremely bored at this point. There are only 4 additional Hidden Object scenes and 8 Mini-games spread out over 8 additional scene locations. You will continue your search for the final 3 Randall's Equipment Items, 3 Movie Posters, and 8 Projection Booth items.
Collector's Edition Extra's: (CE version only)
10 Wallpapers, 10 Concept Art Pictures, 5 Music Soundtracks, 29 Movie Video Cutscenes, 40 Achievements, 21 Replayable Mini-Games, 22 Replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 15 Morphing Randall's Equipment Items, 15 Movie Posters, a gazillion Missing Notes, 64 Zoom-Zone Movie Ticket Coins, 15 Projection Booth Items (purchase with tickets) 3 Main Chapters, +Bonus Chapter, and a Built-In Strategy Guide.

Unless you love the same tasks, same gameplay, same unappealing HO scenes, you will not be pleased with this game. Other than excellent graphics and music, Domini seems incapable of any measure of quality in their games for a very long time now.
It is sad that they don't even try to resurrect their once great reputation when every creation a winner we could count on. They just keep producing forgettable games with weak storyline lines, uninteresting characters and a multitude of annoying tasks. We can find these just about everywhere, but I always expected more from Domini. New title, new series, new characters matter not. They are just a facade to conceal the same old stuff that is in every game.
Playing twins was not fun. Just one detective using both logic and a slightly open mind to the paranormal would, in my opinion, present a more interesting character. The detective team is tracking down a killer "vampire" (?) in this no challenge game. As the case unfolds it is different than we expected, it isn't even a little scary but the synopsis refers to it as terrifying.
HOPs and puzzles are okay, didn't care for the HOPs as much. I did enjoy a handful of puzzles and didn't have to skip any in the demo since they took little time to solve. This time I avoided the Custom Mode, which I prefer for any demo, to see if it greatly affected the difficulty but it didn't change much. The game wasn't bogged down with a huge amount puzzles and HOPs so if I was going to purchase, this would be a good thing. Too many become tedious and take too much time away that could be used for the story.
If you are a die-hard Domini fan and don't mind more tasks than adventure, you'll be eager to swoop this one up. The paranormal never stops attracting our attention and this game offers a bit of it, but I found nothing entertaining or interesting about Twin Minds. Maybe you'll have better luck! Show less

I am amazed, stunned, awe struck, at how many clichés Domini was able to cram into the demo of Twin Mind - Ghost Hunter! You name it, it was there —a pile of dirt that you needed a spoon to dig up; a metallic thing that you needed a magnet to retrieve; a drink machine that you needed coins to operate; crows that you needed a bicycle horn chase to away . . . and on, and on, and on!

It would take a full page just to list all of the nonsense hoops that you have to jump through just to do every ordinary little thing just to get to the next ordinary little thing, but I think that you already get the point.
Okay, so what’s the story line? To tell you the truth, I was so busy trying to find ridiculous things, and so confused by the unnecessary and annoying switching between characters, that I’m having difficulty recalling what it was!
Wait, oh yes, there was a murder . . . or was it a series of murders? And there was something about robbery . . . but where it was, or how it connected to the so-called story; well, I must confess I just don’t have any idea!
The characters voices were dull, flat, devoid of any dramatic quality, and certainly did not add anything to this already boring game.
I’m desperately trying to think of something positive about this game, but the only thing that I can honestly say is that the graphics were, for the most part, up to Domini’s usual standards with, perhaps, a little less use of the garish palette for which this game developer is well known.
I usually say that you should play the demo and decide for yourself, but this game is such a complete waste of time and download bandwidth that I can’t even recommend that you do that! Show less
