Imagine my surprise when the first scene was a restaurant very close to my heart and one I used to frequent many times.

Just seemed strange finding items at a place I was very familar with.

The actual game for me is a delight, as Goldilocks would say not to hard. not too easy , just right.

I love finding the cats and everything is the right size and fits nicely.

I enjoy these games for relaxation, and sometimes to laugh at the pandas in the desert (or something similar), but then get to enjoy the scenes in the "photographs" I take after finding the camera - which is usually pretty easy to find, but sometimes, takes the magnifier for my old eyes.
Thanks for a few relaxing enjoyable hours without puzzle solving (although that's fun, too).

I recommend this game!

I have always loved the Beautiful Earth series games. They are not very challenging but when I have a headache or don't feel particularly well that day, they always make me feel better. Out of 800 + Games I Have Played [ Mostly HOGS ], this one was a pleasure and it saddened me when I reached the ending chapter.
Scenery was mostly eye-candy for me and I loved searching for the collectables.
Graphics were clear, sounds and music fit the scene.
I recommend this one for my Fellow Fishies that love HOGS that you can play for a while and go back later when interruptions are taken ...Show more

However the difference between the Mahjong in Beautiful Earth 6 and the earlier ones is you can actually complete the game without the auto re-shuffle. If you go back to the menu then click continue you get a totally new arrangement and can start over again. Of course that is not the point of Beautiful Earth series but it certainly adds to the game. At each stage you will hunt for a list of animals in three scenes, a paw print, a camera and three kitty cats. Between scenes are an assortment of minis consisting of (for example) memory, spot the difference, "fit the wooden shapes", mah-jong, solitaire and "find the animals in the Far East carving." I liked the scenes in #6 very well with a nice assortment of locations instead of primarily Southeast Asia settings. OBE offerings would appeal to child players, if any children actually play HOGs. Great game, even if it's a bit oriented to children. Show less

I still think Our Beautiful Earth is an amazing series, but I prefer the nature-themed scenes that were prominent in the previous games. These scenes are a bit more urbanized and mostly take place within commercial tourist destinations or on the lawns of houses. I played about 6 levels before I finally got to a scene in Utah that was more in-tune with nature. I expect Urban scenes and tourist ...Show more

I still think Our Beautiful Earth is an amazing series, but I prefer the nature-themed scenes that were prominent in the previous games. These scenes are a bit more urbanized and mostly take place within commercial tourist destinations or on the lawns of houses. I played about 6 levels before I finally got to a scene in Utah that was more in-tune with nature. I expect Urban scenes and tourist destinations when I play the travel-related HOGs, but I loved the naturalistic approach of Our Beautiful Earth where it veered off the beaten track to show us a different side of Mother Nature! There are a ton of travel-related HOGs out there, but only one Our Beautiful Earth, so please, keep it Earthy not Urban.

Each of the 30 scene locations has 3 adorable cats that meow when you click on them and you'll earn extra points as well. Each level also has a hidden Camera that will reward you with a location screenshot, and there is a hidden Paw Print Tile of various critters in each level, (ignore the fact that dolphins & birds don't have paws lol) Wouldn't it make more sense to have the Pawprint Tile open up to reveal that animals real print, even if it's just a flipper or dorsal fin?

Each scene has 2 Sub-scenes or Zoom Zones that will appear as Boxes on the Right side that come and go as objects are found and new ones added. but unfortunately, there isn't a separate list of items in bold for the sub-scenes.

You can play in a Casual or Challenge Mode, depending on how fast you want the Hint & Puzzle Skip buttons to recharge. There are no Misclick Penalties or Timers so this HOG is very relaxing, peaceful, and enjoyable to play. Each location gives you a little fun fact at the start of each HO scene which I find very interesting. I also like the Magnifying Glass feature, you can right-click anywhere on the scene to pull it up, and right-click again to make it disappear, and the magnifying glass doesn't disappear when you find an object and click on it like some other HOGs.

You can earn up to 3-stars, the first Star is earned for finding all 18 Listed Objects, a second Star for finding all 3 Cats, and a 3rd Star for finding the Paw Print Tile. Coins earned for completing the HOGs and Mini-games are used in the Gift Shop to reveal 14 sections on a beautiful Wallpaper Scene.

After each Hidden Object Scene, you will play a Puzzle or Mini-Game such as Spot the Difference, Memory Matching Animal Pairs, Rotate & Drag Tetris-Shaped Puzzle Pieces into Place, Mahjong, Jigsaw Puzzles, and even Mosaic Griddlers. The Spot the Differences images are really subtle so they can be quite challenging, I don't normally like Mahjong but this was a classic Mahjong that was unusually challenging and held my interest.

The levels including sub-zones are extremely full, the density makes the search quite challenging at times. The items are very well blended, most are small, some in dark areas. The small magnifier stays with you until ready to release it. 14 games includes mosaics and hidden object Chinese papercut art. All can be skipped and replayed. Casual and Challenge Modes, no timer or penalties. Lots of HOs to be discovered.

There are 30 locations mostly in or near buildings. I expected them to be more scenic or in the wild, so that was disappointing. Therefore, my deletion of one star. Still enjoyed! Show less

I love this series but for a collector's edition I found it was not long enough, I have all of the Our Beautiful Earth ones and do like the animal theme's.
