To put the angel on the tree you have to hand the angel to the mom's right hand, then take the angel from her hand and put it on top of the tree!

Look forward to this game every year!

Christmas Wonderland marks the start of the holiday season for me every year because It isn't Christmas until Christmas Wonderland arrives! This game is part of my holiday tradition and I look forward to it even more than I do the Christmas HOPAs. There are a lot of new features so Ho Ho Ho, and off we go... Now, Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen! On, Comet! on Cupid! on, Donner and Blitzen...Now dash away, dash away, dash away all, to the computer to play the greatest game of all!

You can play in Casual, or Challenge Mode, and the CE version includes an Extreme difficulty mode, which is a Timed Mode requiring you to find all Golden Angels and Santa's Lost Presents, with an Eagle Eye to earn all three stars. There are 20 Achievements to earn and 16 Christmas Decorations to purchase and decorate your Wonderland House.

Each Hidden Object scene has about 12-14 Listed Items to find, items in Red are hidden in or behind something, and items in Blue require a task such as dragging a carrot to the snowman's nose. There are usually two Zoom Zone Areas in each scene, the zoom zones (indicated by twinkling stars) may come and go, depending on whether or not the items are available on your list yet.

You will earn a Bronze Star if you complete the HO scene, a Silver Star if you complete the HO scene and find all Golden Angels OR all Santa's Lost Gifts, and a Gold Star for completing the HO scene and finding all Golden Angels and Santa's Lost Gifts. When all of the Golden Angels have been found, the doors will close on the Icon on the bottom left by the Inventory Bar. Santa's Lost Gifts are shown as Silhouetted Shapes within the Snowglobe and Santa's Sleigh will appear to indicate all items have been found. There is also a Snowman hidden somewhere in each scene!

Some of the Scenes have a Photo Opportunity Icon located somewhere within the scene. (16 Total) Once you find the icon, you can click on it to add the photo to your Photo Album which can be viewed by clicking the Camera icon located next to the trophy icon on the bottom left of the screen.

My favorite part of the HO games by this developer is the puzzles that will make you feel like a kid on Christmas morning playing them! After each Hidden Object Scene, you'll solve a mini-game or puzzle such as placing those infamous puzzle pieces into a map of the North Pole, Rotating Square Puzzle Tiles, Jigsaw Puzzles, Word Search, Matching Pairs, or Spot the Difference.

Collector's Edition Extra's
On the CE version, Bonus Levels have been incorporated into the main game scenes and have Gold Rosette Ribbons to identify them. There are 18 Wallpapers, 20 downloadable Music Soundtracks, and 48 Replayable Mini-Games and Puzzles.

What puts you more in the Christmas spirit than a Christmas Wonderland game. I own them all and replay them throughout the year when I need to go to a happy place. The scenes, the graphics, the bright colors and the fun puzzles make this game a real joy to play.

Have only played half the game and am loving it so far. What's not to love - the music is great, some puzzles are challenging and the scenes are beautiful.

The locations/scenes really put you in the holiday mood. People all about, children enjoying the snow and festivities, shops and streets aglow with lights and decorated trees. Everything is just beautiful. Each scene is loaded to the max with everything imaginable to tickle your Christmas fancy! The music is delightful.

The HOs aren't always easy to spot, even in the easiest play mode so it's a good fun challenge, And there are other goodies to search for, not just the list items. The games and puzzles are all Christmas themed, lots of fun. Great features and extras. Excellent replay value.

This CE is one I happily add to my collection, $$ well spent. No matter how much you may dislike the holiday season, I think this game just might remove the grumpies and produce a smile! Just looking at the sparkle and glow warms my heart. Show less

I have all the Christmas Wonderland games. After playing 2 of them when offered, I decided I had to have all the games. I was delighted today to see #13 offered and bought it immediately.

The colors are vibrant and sometimes it can be a bit difficult to find in some of the game but if I search enough I almost always find it. I really don't care about my score, I just love to play this HOG. I don't play with sound on (although I have & it's appropriate and calming. I like the challenges of the game and I replay no matter what time of year it is. Puts me in a good mood.
No store line but just a great HOG game that's full of fun. I highly recommend this game to all HOG lovers. Show less

I didn't play this or the Vacation Adventures series for years; didn't like the wooden characters, the impossible to find 'trash' items or the general ambience of the games. However, one day I gave the VA series another try and since then I've been hooked. I had a lot of games to catch up on; Vacation Adventures, Cruise Directors and of course this lovely Christmas Wonderland series.

Yes, they may be mostly the same with just a few minor changes. Yes, the characters do look like they've been cut and pasted from previous games. And yes, the games are very 'old school' but none of that matters. Once you get lost in golden angels, sparkling baubles, busy elves and the sights and sounds of Christmas, it's impossible not to smile and feel like an excited child!

They do seem to have upped the difficulty very slightly with some objects being extremely well hidden but I refuse to use a hint so I get the three stars! In addition to the main hidden objects, you also search for lost toys and a hidden snowman. The mini games are enjoyably familiar, with an extra jigsaw or two thrown in. I love the jigsaws! There are also word searches, find the difference, matching pairs and rotating puzzles of varying shapes and sizes. Lots to do in this game!

It's corny, over the top and utterly charming. Even Scrooge might have been inclined to celebrate Christmas if he'd had these games to play! Forget about your worries for a while and lose yourself in this Christmas Wonderland; it's a joyful sleigh ride of fun :-)

**I've seen people having problems in one scene with putting the angel on the tree. You have to put the angel in the mothers hand, then she puts the angel on the tree. Show less

One thing to be aware of with these games when you first download is the prompt to download direct x. If you already have one of these games you do Not need to download it. If you do it will cause problems so close it. It will prompt again but just close it again and it will be fine.
For me that is the only down thing I can find about these games and wish there was a notification that you only need to download this once or made a bit more clearer.

All the Christmas glitz is here and as I am a puzzle freak I just love that every other level is a mini game.

So much has been going on in the world which can cause some stress and these games are the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the joy of Christmas. Have a Merry Christmas. Show less

What a lovely surprise. A newly polished Christmas Wonderland game, which has some wonderful new things added to it, which makes the game soooo much more fun than the previous ones.
Love having to find the extra Frosty, and love that I can now actually use the presents I buy to decorate the front of the house. Love it !!
