I enjoy playing geography games because I enjoy travelling around different places and countries and I enjoyed playing the game whether or not there were hints about the places

This game is a buy for me. I am enjoying the challenge in locating some items and I do not use the timer. Here are a couple of tips....first, do not place your cursor on the edge of the screen in the magnified mode. Smoothly move it in the direction you want without touching the edge and it works fine. I bought it almost right away. It's fun and I love the hangman puzzles as well. I gave it a 4 because the graphics are not as sharp as I would like, but love the game. Hidden object with different ways to look for them.

I recommend this game!

I like this game developer, Seven Sails, and enjoyed this game despite a few minor frustrations and recommendations. As you can probably tell it's a travel based HOG so if you like those you'll probably enjoy this one. I like this game developer, Seven Sails, and enjoyed this game despite a few minor frustrations and recommendations. As you can probably tell it's a travel based HOG so if you like those you'll probably enjoy this one. Scenes are bright and cheerful - very escapist and I lost track of time while playing so it's engrossing as well. Other reviewers here mention the hangman mini-games and yes, those are lots of fun! A few things: I wish they'd included music during the HOG scenes. Maybe they were on a budget with this game production and decided to forgo including a full soundtrack, but nice music really completes the game experience and that element is noticeably absent. Also, you 'll be looking for envelopes and travel stamps in each scene - well, I couldn't find a few and there's no hint available to tell you where to look, so I did not complete "everything" in this game. Also there are morphing objects but I have trouble seeing those - my peripheral vision is not the best so your mileage may vary. I dinged them a star for all of that but I still had fun with it and recommend the game. Show less

Gave this a chance because of the $$. Deserves low ratings. Agree the Hang-Man game was the highlight.

I agree with the other reviewers that the hangman is the best part of this game. The game itself gets to be very boring after you had played the same scenes over and over and nothing moves and the hidden items are mostly the same. I did purchase the game, but should have saved the money.

I don't recommend this game.

The H/O scenes were still lower definition, but better than the first one. I'm terrible at hangman, but can understand others loving this type of challenge

There are a lot of hidden object travel games on Big Fish. I usually like to play them because I like hidden object games and I learn a little something about other places besides my own backyard.

I loved the Hangman game that was available after every Hidden Object Scene and would love to see Seven Sails create a Hangman Game (without the HOs) and offer the Trivia games that were available in the Animal Kingdom game in between Hangman levels! There are so many Travel-themed Hidden Object games; they are all basically the same, even though some have better graphics than others. I believe this developer would do well with a series of these niche Word and Trivia games, a genre, I might add, that doesn't have a lot of competition!...this is your wheelhouse @sevensails...roll with it!

In Travel Along 2, I noticed a difference in quality. The scene locations were more appealing, the scenes were less cluttered with a barrage of random objects, and some of the objects were blended into the scenery...or at least in less obvious places.

The Magnifying Glass zoom feature should have been a bit smoother to control. When you click the +Magnifier, the scene zooms in, and as you move the mouse Left & Right or Up & Down, it tends to get stuck and requires a bit of coaxing to get the screen to move when you are near the edges or corners.

I played in the Hard Mode, which has a 3-minute timer. Once again, it doesn't allow you to replay the level! If you run out of time, big red letters appear saying FAILED! Then you are whisked back to the level map, which shows that failed location with a green checkmark that you cannot reopen. I'm pretty sure most people want a chance for redemption until they earn all three stars; no one wants to wait until they complete the entire game just to replay the level!

Each scene has a Passport Stamp and a Morphing Postcard. There is a suitcase at the top of the screen that keeps track of the collectibles, and you can replay the scenes to search for missed collectibles once you complete the game.

After completing a Hidden Object Scene you play a round of Hangman based on various key categories. The Hangman game was way more fun than the HOGs, in fact, I kept playing the HO scenes just so I could get to the Hangman Game!

That being said, I did enjoy the hangman component of the game. It was a nice change of pace and added a fun twist to the game. However, it wasn't enough to make up for the lackluster hidden object component.

Overall, while Travel Along 2 has potential, the poor picture quality and haphazard object placement left me wanting more. If you're a fan of this genre, there are definitely better options out there. Show less
