This is the kind of game I buy without even trying the trial. So nice to have something besides those dark and dreary games. This is the second one Big Fish has had in less than a week. I bought the other one without trying it first, too. Hopefully this means they will start having more like this. I love a good HO and this is one of the good ones!

A great game for just laying back and relaxing. There are 20 colorful scenes with 4 modes of play...(1) ABC word items....(2) Silhouette....(3) Scrambled word items....and (4), Mirrored, where the scene is backwards from the original scene with the items spelled backwards. A great game for just laying back and relaxing. There are 20 colorful scenes with 4 modes of play...(1) ABC word items....(2) Silhouette....(3) Scrambled word items....and (4), Mirrored, where the scene is backwards from the original scene with the items spelled backwards. I loved the mirrored mode the best. You can play whatever mode you like whenever you like. Love that jazzy music, too.

There are 3 difficulty modes to choose from...(1) No time limit... (2) 10 minute time limit for each search...(3) 3 minute time limit search.

There is a magnifier in the lower right, which I had to use at times, as some items were hard to find, but not impossible. I found some of the scene modes to be pleasantly challenging.

There were some times that I could not pick up an item and found a solution. You click on the icon in the lower left corner and exit to the map... choose the scene again and you will have a new start of that scene. Sometimes I had to do this a couple of times, but it always worked. This glitch wasn't excessive, but it did happen sometimes and I thought I wouldn't be able to finish the game, but figured out a way to get around it. Worked for me and I hope it will work for you if you need it.

There are no frills in this game, but I did enjoy playing it and will do so again sometime.

I enjoy playing games by this developer because there are different styles that I can play as well as a relaxed mode without having play the style that I don't want to play

The "beckins" review pretty well summarizes my take on this game. Plenty of items that are labeled incorrectly...but, as hidden object games go, this is one worth buying. It just gets annoying at times when you spend 10 minutes looking for a pancake and it ends up being a cupcake. Other than that...a keeper!

I love travel games so was happy to see a new one. This game has about 20 levels with four modes to complete for each level. There is a recyclable which needs to be found on most levels. I just found the game to be ho-hum overall. Perhaps I would have bought it before the price increase of almost $2 CAD for a standard game, but definitely not a buy at the new price level of over $9 CAD. It's a no for me but, of course, try it for yourself. Show less

I wish they had people proof read these games. I wouldn't have been looking for a piece of macaroni instead of a macaron. Tape "ruller" is a cloth tape measure, Ruler Tape is a metal tape measure. Spelling was odd to say the least so once you get to a level where the letters are mixed up it can be entertaining trying to work out what they wrote and what they meant to write. Looks like we have a new HOG from Lazy Turtle Games, the developer who created the Travel To series (Travel to Spain, Travel To India, etc.) I'm not really seeing a difference between this game and the Travel To series other than finding a single Recyclable item shown as a Silhouetted Shape. I agree with beckins; it's one thing to misspell a word on the Listed Items mode, but when you are trying to find "Macaron" spelled as "Macaroni" on the Missing Vowels or Mirrored mode, it's a whole different ballgame! The first HO scene was a Listed Item Mode, and I searched for ages to find "macaroni" in any form before it dawned on me that it was probably misspelled. Sure enough, the item was indeed a macaron! They should probably ditch this tasty dessert altogether (on the sidewalk next to the burgers and bananas) because there are actually two different types, a macaron, and a macaroon which has coconut flakes.

Maybe I'm just growing weary of the travel-type HOG's but why do they always have stupid random items thrown around the streets and travel destinations? Slap a burger on a poster, throw a slice of pizza on the hood of a car, bananas, peppers, and tons of trash spewn about town...isn't the point to highlight the beauty of the states or countries they are featuring? If the gross leftover food doesn't make you yearn for a vacation, how about searching for the over-abundance of common household items featured in every HO game since the dawn of man: feathers, horseshoes, toothbrushes (hopefully not used), wrenches, bowling pins, pool balls, scissors, jerrycans, flashlights, crowbars, glasses, microphones, headphones, calculator's, and of course, rubber stamps! Speaking of rubber stamps, you would think one of these HO developers would break the mold and throw in some objects that are theme-related, objects that make sense and don't stick out like a sore thumb!

You can play in a Relaxed mode with no timer, or opt for a 10-minute or 3-minute Timed mode. You will earn a single Gold Star when you complete a scene, and those stars unlock the next destination. Eventually, you will have to replay the scenes to unlock others. You can choose which HO mode to play, such as Listed Items, Missing Vowels, Silhouetted Shapes, or Mirrored Mode, where the words, as well as the scene itself, is a mirrored image (like seeing the word ambulance thru your rearview mirror)

I love HOG but after reading some of the reviews I decided to play demo before purchasing, I am glad I did this. I only got 30 minutes into 60 minutes demo. Game is just too boring for my liking. The hidden objects are way too easy to find, not very challenging and also I prefer to have puzzles or some other type of task to do between scenes to break up just finding hidden objects and this game ...Show more
