Got the Standard edition this time, after playing the first one, which kind of "grew" on me after a while and I ended up enjoying it.

Lots of "Alice" elements in here, but not to where I'd object to any blatant borrowing from another game. Scenes are bright and colorful, though without much animation. Most tasks are fairly intuitive, where you can just hit the ground running and not waste time ...Show more

Lots of "Alice" elements in here, but not to where I'd object to any blatant borrowing from another game. Scenes are bright and colorful, though without much animation. Most tasks are fairly intuitive, where you can just hit the ground running and not waste time figuring out what to do.

You can adjust music (Zen-like acoustic), sounds, disable hints and skip dialogs. Modes are the usual three and there's an "I need hints!" button in the level.

The game is A-OK with me and I found it a pleasant time passer and enough of a challenge to keep my RM skills honed til the next latest and greatest. Show less

Reading through the reviews for the CE this game has a mixed response,

Yes I agree that some of the Alice mechanics are here but then it does have its own assets that in my mind make this a very good game. I like that this game is about freeing animals captivated in the wildlife.

I bought the CE and was glad I did but for me both games are worthy. You do get 12 extra levels in the CE ...Show more

I bought the CE and was glad I did but for me both games are worthy. You do get 12 extra levels in the CE plus a strategy guide which is far more than a certain other devekoper provided in one of their games.

The game play made me think and several times I had to restart a level because I ran out of resources. Any game in my book that does that is worthy of my purchase as it means the challenge is there,

Now this game starts off weak so please do not play for 10 minutes and give up becuse it does pick up..

What prevents me from giving this 5 stars is that there are quite a few confusing things here that I can not really see the point.

Why do you need 2 markets , one giving 4 gold and one giving 8 gold, why not as most do upgrade the market? A donkey delivering to the 8 market is another strange thing. totally unneeded and just adds to the confusion. There are other strange things added that do not seem to add any benefits apart from cluttering up the scene.

Have they not heard of the saying "Less is more" ?

Overall this is a good game but needs to be thinned out a bit to make this a 5 star game as far as I am concerned.

Try the demo but do give it more than 10 minutes. Show less

I really did not like this type of game play. that is the reason for my low score.

I don't recommend this game.
