Doesn't play like a drawing game

The other reviews wish for counters and errors shown. They dislike having to zoom in. I disagree. This game plays very much like doing needlepoint for real. You don't get counters or error messages. You have to zoom in to sew. We have been spoiled by other drawing games that do that.

The problems I have is there are too many 1 square choices, which there are a few in real life. It would drive a needle pointer nuts. Secondly, the colors move to the next spool and highlight them as you finish a color. That is unless that next color had been completed earlier. Then you have to select the next spool. I think it should advance automatically to the next available spool. (spoiled by how you do it in other drawing games). Lastly I have problems filling in large areas. If you are trying to color the entire area holding down the mouse button, you can pass over squares, and they don't color. You have to hit the box just right. That is very hard.

I enjoy this game but like some other drawing games I would like to select the color that the squares show which one to select. Grey is hard to see for me. Show less

I have all the art by numbers but this one was fun for me.
When 1 color is done the number goes away so you dont have to look for it. It would be nice if the picture was a little clearer so you could see it better. Other than that I enjoyed it anyway

Anyone who has done needlework in real life should appreciate this game. While there is no embroidery hoop to stretch the cloth and define your work area, this developer has simulated this action excellently by having the player zoom into an area to colour. As you colour the squares, the picture becomes textured, which is a lovely effect.

Anyone who has done needlework in real life should appreciate this game. While there is no embroidery hoop to stretch the cloth and define your work area, this developer has simulated this action excellently by having the player zoom into an area to colour. As you colour the squares, the picture becomes textured, which is a lovely effect.

There have been some much appreciated improvements by Graphium Studio. The spools now disappear when you have finished with the corresponding colour and the game controls and the completion meter have been moved so they no longer cover part of the play area. There is also a hint system, that recharges quickly, in the form of a magnifying glass that will find missed squares.

Some games are meant for relaxing and I am glad there is no timer nor an error counter. In this edition, there are seven fun chapters with a variety of pictures to work on. I use this type of game to unwind after a stressful day.

I always suggest reading the tutorial before playing a new game. Sometimes the developer is innovative and we don't realize that their game works a little differently. It will avoid frustration for the player and, hopefully reduce untrue criticisms in reviews. As well, always remember that we don't all like the same thing and that is why there are dozens of game genres to choose from. And, because we prefer something different does not make a game bad.

However, I did find that the picture could have been a little clearer. It was sometimes difficult to see the details, and that made it a bit challenging at times. It would have been nice if the picture was a bit more defined so I could see it better.

Despite that, I still enjoyed the game very much and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys needlework or coloring. It's a great way to pass the time and create something beautiful at the same time. Show less

Would it be too much trouble to add a counter? Give me some stats of accuracy! I like the pictures here but it's boring if you can just wave the cursor around and fill the cells. I like to have something to strive for. For example, total number of cells for each color, how many errors, percent error, percent correct? Please! Or else this is just a no go ever for me.

As I enjoyed it, I made a purchase and first I was happy that my progress was saved, but then I realised that the percentage counter was reset to 0. So now the puzzle is completed, but stays at 22% on my screen, it is not marked complete and I can do nothing about it apart from re-installing the game. That is REALLY annoying and killed my mood, as completion is the only real goal here. Seems to only be an issue if it times out during test though. Show less

Game is very sluggish. The cells are slow to fill. It's very similar to the Pixel Art games which I love but this one is much less responsive. I will retry this game once I reboot my computer to make sure it's not due to my computer but I doubt it is.

I don't recommend this game.

In order to see the numbers you have to zoom way in and can only see a small part of the picture. Once you have done that, the squares to paint are so easy to find it is boring. And the finished results poor.
Try Art by Numbers instead. Wonderful games.

I thought this was going to be a fun game to play, only to find out it stressed me out because I could not close it out and get out of the game. Plus, you had to right click to bring the picture down more or move it side to side to get the other squares filled with the correct thread. Will not purchase this.

I don't recommend this game.
