I enjoy playing games by this developer. I prefer to play geography based jigsaw puzzles rather than general jigsaw puzzles because I like to learn about different countries

I recommend this game!

I love the huge variety of piece types and the selection of table styles. Your choice of piece type can determine your puzzle size. Composing a puzzle can be very challenging or very easy. However, I don't like the black background where the puzzle is assembled. It creates difficulty when pieces are darkly colored because it's hard to see where they fit together.

These countries are full of beautiful landscapes, ruins, unique architect, wildlife. I expected to see a better variety in the many categories. However, I loved the temples and sculptures. The peacock flower creation was gorgeous. The gems and umbrellas were beautiful. I was really disappointed with the animals collection.

The graphics are always sharp and the game always runs smoothly. It's an excellent puzzle game. I hesitate to purchase only because this time too many of the images didn't appeal to me. Show less

Finally a jigsaw game without all kinds of flashing visual effects, whenever you put a puzzlepiece on the right place.
Also I was very pleased that when I finished a jigsaw I got the time to take a look at the picture I just finished. I would have given 5 stars, if there were more nature pictures to choose from, but I like it enough to buy it.

I recommend this game!

If the pictures aren't appealing, it doesn't matter what options or features the game has at that point because nobody's gonna buy a jigsaw puzzle game with dreadful pictures...Tiny Little Lion has got you covered! The pictures will capture your attention right off the bat; they are exactly what jigsaw puzzle geeks look for in a jigsaw. If you aren't crazy about the exotic images of Thailand & Cambodia...Tiny Little Lion has got you covered on that, too, with a Custom section that allows you to download your own images with a simple click of a button!

Don't worry; there are plenty of customization features available to go along with the beautiful pictures:

JIGSAW PUZZLE MODE: (Category Selection)
-There are 8 Categories, Waters, Temples, Sculpture, Animals, Food, Outdoor, Flowers, Others, and of course, Custom, which allows you to download your own images.

JIGSAW PUZZLE MODE: (Puzzle Shapes)
-You can choose from several different puzzle shapes, and the shape selected is displayed on the Image sample: Animals, Blobs, Circles & Squares, Circle Jumble, Circles & Squares, Concentric, Concentric Hearts, Fans, Irregular Pentagons, Knobbed Arrows, Knobbed Hexes, Knobbed Triangles, Rectangle Jumble, Rectangles, Regular Traditional, Ripples, Saji, Shard Box, Shards, Split Circle, Sunburst Squares, Traditional, Twisted, Warped Concentric, Warped Regular Traditional, Warped Traditional, Wriggle Boxes.

JIGSAW PUZZLE MODE: (Puzzle Sizes)
-Puzzles are available in different sizes, depending on the puzzle shape 48, 108, 192, and 400 pieces.

JIGSAW PUZZLE MODE: (Puzzle Rotation)
-Rotation options: Easy (only rotates 2 directions) Medium, Hard, or Off.

JIGSAW PUZZLE MODE: (Puzzle Hint)
-Hints can be disabled, or you can select Plenty, Moderate, or Minimal.

JIGSAW PUZZLE MODE: (Puzzle Features)
-Trays: there are 4 Trays to sort pieces, which also shows the number of pieces within each box.
-Timer: keeps track of the time it takes to complete the puzzle
-Preview: Ghosts the image of the puzzle in the center in various opaqueness.
-Recenter: snaps the puzzle view back to the center of the page.
-Shuffle: Shuffles puzzle pieces. (I don't see a need to shuffle?)
-All Pieces: I assume pieces in the trays are shown on the board.
-Zoom: you can also use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out, and you can drag the screen around by right-clicking and holding.
-Hide: hides the above tabs.

SWAP MODE: (Category Selections)
-If jigsaws aren't your cup of tea, no worries; there are a ton of Swap Puzzle styles that are very creative: Bands, Circles & Half Squares, Circles & Quarter Squares, Circles & Squares, Circles & Stars, Concentric Circles, Concentric Rectangles, Double Bands, Double Split Squares, Double Strips, Down Stacked Circles, Four Square Rectangle, Octagons & Squares, Octagons & Stars, Octagrams & Crosses, Quarter Circles & Diamonds, Quarter Circles & Stars, Rectangles Landscape, Rectangles Portrait, Split Rectangles, Squares & Crosses, Strips & Triangles, Triple Bands, Triple Strips, and Up Stacked Circles.

SWAP MODE: (Swap Features)
-You can choose the number of pieces; each style has a different amount of pieces available, ranging between 10-170 pieces.

-Hints are available in the Swap Mode. Plenty gives you 4 Hints, Moderate gives you 3 Hints, Minimal gives you 2 Hints, and you can select None as well.

FEATURES I'D LIKE ADDED: (Jigsaw Mode)

-Most of all, I want an option to organize the puzzle pieces by selecting a button at any time to reorganize the pieces neatly around the image.

-The 5 available Backgrounds shades are a little too dark. I would love a slider bar option to adjust each color.

-I'd love an option for larger puzzles, a minimum of 1000 pieces.

-I still want a Quarter Square Puzzle option in the Jigsaw Mode (it is only available in Swap Mode)

Just a couple of tweaks, and this will be a 5-star game for me! My list of "wanted features" has dwindled significantly since this series was first offered. This proves that the developer is doing everything in their power to improve each new game! Thank you, Tiny Little Lion, :)

I am playing on a Windows 11 computer, and my review is based on a demo checkout of the features of the game.

Normally, I love this series; this game however seems like a step backward. I was excited to see that there was a section for custom selections that allowed you to upload your own pictures. Sure enough, I uploaded a couple of my pix and it worked. Unfortunately, when I tried to play a game using these pictures, the game started using one of its pre-packaged pix. Even using the saved games button, it still reverted back to playing with one of the canned game pix - not the one I uploaded.

Another complaint is that there are only (by my possibly wrong count) 108 pix included in the game - not the 125 advertised. This also occurred in the XMAS game, which had 120 pix rather than the advertised 125. Other games in the series have the stated 125 pix.

I suggest that until the game is updated, or the advertising summary modified, you not buy this game without accepting the limitations that it currently has. Show less

By the time you're finished with two or three puzzles, you have no desire to do anymore.
The placement of the puzzle pieces are exactly the same puzzle to puzzle. It NEVER changes. The starfish goes in the same place, the deer, the bunny, the turtle, the birds, etc, etc...all go in the same place regardless of which puzzle or category you're working on. The placement of the puzzle pieces are exactly the same puzzle to puzzle. It NEVER changes. The starfish goes in the same place, the deer, the bunny, the turtle, the birds, etc, etc...all go in the same place regardless of which puzzle or category you're working on. Even the outer edge pieces are all shaped the same and all go into the same spot puzzle to puzzle.
After a completing a couple, the fun factor is removed be cause you know where they're all going to go. Every. Single. Time.
Were the puzzle pieces to change every time you do a new puzzle, THEN, it would be a great game to own. I'd never purchase this the way it is now.
I was an expert by the end of the demo & had no desire to continue. Show less
