My review is based on playing the demo only on a Windows 11 PC.

For the first time since the third game of this series, the engine for the game has been updated so that there is an additional puzzle cut for both the jigsaw and swap modes. My review is based on playing the demo only on a Windows 11 PC.

For the first time since the third game of this series, the engine for the game has been updated so that there is an additional puzzle cut for both the jigsaw and swap modes. The game adds "squares" to both modes in a big way: 588- or 972- piece options for both modes. I love the swap mode addition; because the working area is bigger than that for jigsaw mode, my 27-inch monitor allows me to see the pieces easily. Jigsaw mode presents problems for me because the pieces are so small and the working area is smaller than for swap mode (although it can be enlarged).

Everything else in the engine remains the same. The "content" - the beautiful pictures of Nordic countries and their attractions - is, of course, new to this game. Be sure to allow extra time for solving the bigger pictures of the "squares" puzzles, and be sure to buy this game. It is a big winner. Show less

I believe these puzzles are really nice for the most part. But again the animals are disappointing and the food is unappealing. I just don't think food is a good subject for puzzles. Some of the images are very pretty and colorful such as in the City category and the aurora borealis. The Temples and Castles are interesting with the Nordic style architecture. I believe these puzzles are really nice for the most part. But again the animals are disappointing and the food is unappealing. I just don't think food is a good subject for puzzles. Some of the images are very pretty and colorful such as in the City category and the aurora borealis. The Temples and Castles are interesting with the Nordic style architecture. The features/options are excellent making assembly more enjoyable, especially with the large variety of piece shapes. I love them because the challenge can vastly change depending on your choice.

This is a nice set of puzzles, many of us love collecting puzzles of different countries and the Nordic region is seldom if ever seen. Everything worked fine in the demo but I rarely get to complete a puzzle because of the options I choose and it's always fun.

As with other puzzles of this type featuring scenery/landscapes, wilderness, buildings, they tend to have so much tiny detail that, for me, assembly becomes tedious. In my opinion they more suited for picture books or framing. Much enjoyment is ahead for those who love all the detail and collecting the various countries. Show less

I love the series, especially the option of playing it as a jigsaw puzzle or swap.
But there is a problem with Nordics. The descriptions don't match the puzzles. For example, the description will be about a castle and the picture was of food.
Note to the developer, please fix this. We'll be looking forward to an update.

I am writing this comparing it to Puzzle Vacations Ireland which was outstanding in all aspects. While the photos are as beautiful as Ireland, the fun fact that pops up after you finish a puzzle, do not correspond to the photo as they did in the Ireland Vacation. I am writing this comparing it to Puzzle Vacations Ireland which was outstanding in all aspects. While the photos are as beautiful as Ireland, the fun fact that pops up after you finish a puzzle, do not correspond to the photo as they did in the Ireland Vacation. I am getting food comments on beautiful scenery where I would like to know where the picture was taken! This kinda ruins the learning about other countries factor that I enjoyed in the other game. (The comments after the puzzles in the Christmas Vacation are even worse,) I also miss the "Artistic" puzzle shape option. It gave a nice variety without having to change the piece shape for each puzzle. The Animal shapes are dumb because the same shaped pieces are in the exact same places in every puzzle, I would also like to see the program save my settings for the puzzle I am currently doing when I return to finish the puzzle. it is tedious to have to keep resetting my choices, especially the preview choice. All this being said, playing the puzzle games makes for a nice change from the hidden object/adventure games that I normally play. Sometimes simple is good. (I'm looking at you Match 3 games!)
