No, this series is not about finding demons, solving mysteries, opening doors with broken keys, or even escaping a locked cell! No, this series is not about finding demons, solving mysteries, opening doors with broken keys, or even escaping a locked cell! This series, in my humble opinion, is about America and all that she has to offer. I absolutely love the fun facts. The regional histories that I would never learn about on my own (or did in school for that matter) are a highlight for me. Not to mention the incredible music that is always included. I hunt some of it down and add it to my playlist! This series is just what I need when I need to wind down from a hard day's work. It's light and always fun. Do they have a formula? Yep! I cannot resist this developers particular game. The graphics get me everytime. Just beautiful. I like the challenge and minis. Very relaxing.

But it's like reading a Harlequin novel number 400, Doc Savage #92 (yeah, I'm dating myself) or doing your 3000th sudoku or crossword puzzle! Every game doesn't need to have some new revolutionary twist to still be great and entertaining! Regarding this game being a been there/done that..largely it is. I found this one to be well done, neither with freaky out of proportion hidden objects nor impossible to find micro objects. The jigsaws were a balanced challenge too.

Graphics were good and pictures fit the theme. I think it's a very well done game. Show less

What's not to like!!!!!!!!!
if you have played these games before - you will know
what they are like
Love it - just passes the time -when the weather in
the UK is rubbish - constant rain - ho hum

Yes, it is the same old stuff, but that's what I like about it! The scenery and music are calming and soothing, just what I need after a crazy day! I hope they keep these gems coming, I will keep buying!!!

If you've played Finding America games, you know what to expect from them. When I need to unwind, after a stressful day, I find these games relaxing. The scenes are different from previous versions but the items to find are similar. The only thing I don't enjoy is the Painting minigame. But thankfully, all of the minigames don't involve painting.

I recommend this game!

I don't know but I'm sure Boomzap/TLL will find it! They are more than fine developers and these games are quality examples of their creative efforts but we do have an abundance of them! They are all similar, if not the same format, each time.

The graphics are always excellent, bright colors, mini games and very well hidden objects. I enjoy the Fun Facts and the challenge. Even though I love their animal find its the travel games are, for me, more entertaining because the locations are so varied and beautiful.

The challenge is very good, features are great. The zoom is very appreciated and I rely on the magnifier a bit much sometimes to help my old eyes complete a level. There's a variety of HO styles. I found matching pairs quite difficult and the scene wasn't even very dense. So that was frustrating! Custom Mode increases the Hint recharge time and makes other changes that make Easy Mode the better choice, especially for the demo.

I really did enjoy the demo. It was a good sampling of what to expect in the full game. If you love this type of HOG and discovering America, I believe this will please you keeping you well occupied with many locations and HOs to find and fun challenge. I will purchase the SE because I see no need for a CE with these games, but some gamers always prefer more of what they love. Show less

I must admit, some of the objects in this game were fairly well hidden which hasn't been the case in the previous versions. Most, not all of the scenes, were more interesting too. I loved the Columbus Zoo scene with all the animals because that was more interesting to me personally than finding ropes, baseball bats, gloves, and binoculars. I loved the Columbus Zoo scene with all the animals because that was more interesting to me personally than finding ropes, baseball bats, gloves, and binoculars. It makes you wonder why no one ever develops a game about local zoos.

The levels vary with HO modes: Standard Listed Items mode, Picture mode, Silhouetted Shapes mode, Missing Vowels mode, Riddled Description mode, Scrambled Letter mode, and Matching Pairs mode. There are a couple of Morphing Objects in every scene and two Interactive Tasks per scene, such as "Put the Ribbon on the Box."

Each Hidden Object Scene has a Hidden Key that unlocks a scene-related Fun Fact. If desired, you can replay levels, in various modes, to get a new fun fact (5 keys/fun facts per location). Each scene also has a collectible Star that will unlock that specific level in the Unlimited Play mode.

After playing three Hidden Object Scenes, a mini-game becomes available, such as placing shaped puzzle fragments, Swapping & Rotating tiles between scenes, Word Search, or a Paint-by-Numbers variation where you swipe the scene to reveal a black & white sketch, and then you click on each section to color it in by dragging the cursor. When you complete a mini-game in the campaign, it will unlock the game in the Photo Journal.

COLLECTOR'S EDITION EXTRAS:
38 Hidden Object Levels, 12 Bonus Levels, 6 Exclusive HO scenes, 13 Achievements, 15 Wallpapers, 14 Music Soundtracks, 50 Re-playable Subgames, 5 Fun Facts per level (as you find hidden Keys), an Unlimited Play Mode (each HO scene becomes available to replay as you find hidden Stars)

I would like to see the popup windows be less intrusive. Having a popup window for the Fun Facts is okay, but it gets a bit annoying when you have to click the Collectible Star popup and then the Achievement popup afterward. Can't those just be a small sliding window box that informs you of the milestone? (one that goes away after a second or two on its own)
