Super fun game. Delightful chimps scamper on tasks for resources, building, and clearing paths. This is a relaxing and amusing game. This type of game template isn't new, but this presentation of it is great. Chimp Quest 2? Count me IN. Bananas not included.

I started this game and wasn't too fond of it because I couldn't get rid of the monkey sounds and it drove my dog nuts. I ended up putting on headphones. I'm so glad I kept going!! What a fun game. It was really challenging on some levels and totally different in the way to beat them than in all other games. I am hoping this becomes a series. Great job to the imaginative people behind this one!!

This new game gets at the heart of what I want in a resource management game: a variety of challenges that require shifting play strategies to get 3 stars. My hat is off to some reviewers who say they found it easy -- I'm a veteran TM player and I really had to wrestle with some of the levels here. Having easy levels occasionally provided a welcome balance.

Generic strategies won't get you to 3 stars on this game: you may need to throw out approaches that work well in most games, and you definitely need to keep a close eye on details of resource management and sequencing. It took more replays than usual for me to get 3 stars on everything.

I loved the fast pace and the fresh game elements that add to the strategy challenge. The gameplay didn't seem at all "clicky" to me: you don't have to pick up resources from your production sites, for example, and you don't need huge numbers of a commodity to accomplish each task.

If the developer happens to see this, I have one request: please tone down the monkey sounds somewhat relative to ambient noise.

I hope this becomes a series -- I'd buy the next one in a heartbeat! Show less

Understanding the buildings and how they help complete the level is key. Once I figured out the buildings, I would look at the map to see where they were located and then decided the importance/order of leveling each one.

Understanding the buildings and how they help complete the level is key. Once I figured out the buildings, I would look at the map to see where they were located and then decided the importance/order of leveling each one.

Crafting Spot can be leveled 3 times - it will give you extra wood when you pick up wood based on its level
Garden Spot can be leveled 3 times - it will give you extra food when you pick up food based on its level
Note: If the crafting spot is easy to reach, I found it helpful to level it up once or twice before leveling up the monkey base.
Mage Hut (purple) - requires orbs you obtain by spending resources (food, wood, stone) at indicated idols. The mage can then roll boulders, activate rope swings and switch the fire idols from one side to the other. The Mage is also required for giving the orbs to firebird.
Scout Hut (green) - will clear vines and uncover hidden items needed to complete the tasks.
Warrior Hut (red) - will clear animals.

Overall, I found this to be a fun game and was able to easily get 3 stars on each level. Really liked that the game was not linear - you can go whichever direction you like and still be able to complete the level. My only complaint would be that there were only 37 levels. Felt like I was shorted at least 3 levels. Show less

I almost missed this as it didn't come up on my BF main page and found it when I checked the TM sale and I had a blast playing the demo that it was an instant purchase for me! The graphics are adorable (the silverback Gorilla Warrior is killer...I laughed watching him kick some Boar butt!) and the storyline and game is so much fun to play and so amusing! I also love that its a standard game so I am not paying for a CE with only a few extra levels and lots of stuff I never look at in CEs. A few levels, I didn't get all 3 stars but I really don't care as it's more the gameplay for me and I realized my mistakes so I can just go back and replay them. Not sure why other reviews state difficulty in getting 3 stars, I'm on level 30 with 3 stars on each. There were a number of levels I had to play 3 or 4 times to find the right combination of building food vs wood vs workers and the proper bonuses to use, but that added to the challenge.
