I've grown quite fond of these Viking siblings, so when I saw they had a new game out for the holidays I was looking forward to getting a chance to play it. VH5 did not disappoint! The graphics are as charming as ever, the heroes got some new accessories for the holiday season, and the story is entertaining. Oh, dear! Odin needs the Vikings again!
This is a very familiar game with a Yuletide twist. There haven't been many changes and - though it may be my imagination - it seems that it takes items a little longer to spawn. Still, it's great fun ... one of those "if you liked the other games, you'll like this one, too".
The story is a little slow to get started, but picks up the more you play.
I recommend this game!

I'm enjoying this CE, and I've enjoyed all the others, but I'm woefully stuck on level 13 (or is it 14...?)...
I cannot, for the life of me, get rid of the Golden Bird that flits from bush to (empty) gold store. I have been amassing the golds etc., and it just moves site and is never, ever, got rid of. I've beaten it up about 8 times, and still it resists...
I recommend this game!

I have been playing this series and these types of games for many years. I played this one on timed, but not hard. I had to do over quite a few of the first 10 -20 levels and then decided to end my personal desire to get gold on every level. I had to do over quite a few of the first 10 -20 levels and then decided to end my personal desire to get gold on every level. I would have had to replay each of the levels multiple times to try and achieve that feat. I ended up just wanting to make it through to the end. I simply can't imagine what the hard level is like trying to get three stars. I don't want my games too simple, but not this level of challenging. The developer needs to do more testing with regular gamers/users when setting the goals and timer levels. Not the case with this game, but with many games some levels are stupidly easy with oodles of time left and others are nearly impossible to complete. For those games (not this one) it is clear to me it was not well tested for a regular user. Show less
