I own the original in SE format, and I had recently replayed after several years. (I have been doing this frequently because the current new releases are not my cup of tea.)
Especially if your previous purchase of the original was the SE version, the remaster is worth buying (especially on BOGO where there is only one game you want to buy--this can be your second game).

I tested it before buying and it didn't seem like the same game.
Graphics are excellent, HOs are fun and appropriate for the story. The games are easier (good because they don't interrupt the flow of the game}. The morphs are subtle, and the collectables are tiny dragons which aren't that easy to spot.

I loved the original when it first came out! Played it a lot! But as time went on, the updates to the programs on my computer started interfering with function of some of my older games. I eventually stopped playing the older version when an update caused the audio stopped working & the game started to turn off on its own part-way through the story. I eventually stopped playing the older version when an update caused the audio stopped working & the game started to turn off on its own part-way through the story. Though I could just click on the app again & continue playing where I left off, it just got too annoying when it happened multiple times!
Getting to play it again was awesome! What I liked best is that the developers expanded on the story line by providing flashbacks to explain why the main villain did what they did, while not changing the original storyline much. This made the storyline more interesting & more fun to follow!
The only thing I would have liked to see changed was the graphic designs of the characters! They improved the appearance of one of the helper creatures but didn't try to enhance any of the other creatures (example: the dragon) or human characters! I think the game would have been enhanced if the developers had improved the designs of all the characters you interact with as you play! Show less

This is one of the older Hopas where you work to earn your achievements and it's a longer game play than expected. Missed it the first time around, enjoyed the remastered version, the puzzles were a mix of easy to wow. And for once the bonus game was a continuation of the main game which is a plus IMHO, glad I purchased and will replay when I go through my Bridge to Another World Hopas again!

Friendly Fox is by far one of the best remaining adventure game developers on BFG. This is one of my favorite series and, once again, they have done an outstanding job. I highly recommend it and suggest you at least use the trial.

The fairy joins you on a magical journey to a distant land, a world created and brought to life by Dorian's imaginative dreams. Upon arrival, it becomes abundantly clear that Dorian's light-hearted, whimsical imagination has turned significantly darker than that of his younger self. Will you be able to save Dorian from his perpetual living nightmare before it's too late?
It's been a little over a decade since Burnt Dreams made its original debut and the first game in the beloved Bridge To Another World series. I can't help but wonder if Remastering a classic HOPA, such as Burnt Dreams, is a wise investment because it reminds us of how interesting games used to be before they became dumbed-down, cookie-cutter clones. Although Friendly Fox games have always been a cut above the rest, Burnt Dreams clearly demonstrates how vastly HOPAs have evolved ...or should I say devolved. 
Burnt Dreams has everything you'd expect from a world built by a young child's dreams, including magical creatures, an evil countess, fairies, and even a young, fire-breathing dragon who'll help you find your long-lost brother while sharing a few much-needed sparks along the way.
The Hidden Object Scenes are a mixture of Interactive List finds and Progressive Interactive Silhouetted Shape finds. Although it's nothing to write home about, I still found them to be quite enjoyable.
The Mini-games, however, are really enjoyable, some of which I haven't played for years! They are easily solvable, but I've never felt that a game had to be a brain-burner to keep me entertained. I loved the butterfly game where you move along the paths to hit each flower without backtracking, and I especially enjoyed placing triangles with partial butterflies of various colors so all three sides matched the surrounding triangles.
There are Collectible Dragons and Morphing Objects in each scene, with a pull-out tab that keeps track of how many are in each scene. I remember the collectibles, but I don't remember the original having morphing objects, so they may have been added to this remastered version??

Yes, it is gorgeous. But I have played it before. I downloaded the past version of this game. It is pretty much the same.
This one has new collectibles; voice overs; etc. But I am on the fence as to whether or not I should buy this one. Will wait.
