You’re called to a peaceful village to investigate the disappearance of a well-liked twin sister, only to quickly discover that things here may not be what they seem. This is only the most recent of a handful of similar disappearances, with few clues to follow. These unfortunate victims simply vanished without a trace. The thing about looking for trouble is that trouble tends to find you first, and you’ll soon be fighting your own mind-bending battle to save yourself and your sanity. Follow the evidence carefully and watch your step, or you might find yourself In the Cards!

Beautiful, well-written game, as good as anything I've seen in a very long time. Set in the second decade of last century, our Detective has taken the case of a young lady who has lost her twin sister - just that, nothing more, until she turns up missing herself, and the Detective discovers that a certain fortune teller is involved, but as a villain, or as a victim himself, or both? It's a genuine mystery set in this world and a surreal Mirror World from whose escape no one's is certain.
Pros: gorgeous art, really good, and worth the price of a CE to replay in the Extras. The writing deserves its own special mention below. Pacing is excellent and production values are stellar throughout. Mini-games are pitched at an intermediate player level and the HO scenes are varied and wonderfully drawn.
Cons: not really a complaint, but the CE is a must-purchase to get the full story. There you get a closure on all of the characters that is really extraordinary and very sweet. But you have to work for it!
Writing: head and shoulders above anything I've seen for a long time. We have characters we actually care about, every one of them, and an exploration of their separate fears that are our own. One in particular, a World War One combat veteran, hit me in a way that games are not supposed to.
Overall, simply outstanding. Deserves every five-star review including mine. Show less

I haven't written a review in a few years because everything was just average.
The writers spent time and effort on this game.
I loved that you got to use things with little back and forth.

This was a nice straight forward game.... finish one location you did have to keep backtracking 50 screens to get back to it.... I now can play these games without the hot spots indicated and found the game a little easy, but still enjoyable. Graphics beautiful and voice overs great.

Love visiting Grandma's house! Although the usual emblems to open things are still here, EVERYTHING is turned upside down and sideways! This is a Sphinx Cat of another color (they appear everywhere in this foray into the wonderfully bizarre).
