This is a really fun HO game. If you are one of the players who doesn't enjoy finding small objects, you should avoid this one. The objects are fairly small but the hint button helps. I only used it a few times. I am an older player and I had only a few problems finding the objects. I am tired of really dark games and I like the games that don't require me to continually backtrack between scenes. ...Show more

I only used it a few times. I am an older player and I had only a few problems finding the objects. I am tired of really dark games and I like the games that don't require me to continually backtrack between scenes. The story line is refreshingly cute. I wish there were more games like this. I also play a lot of the darker games and own all the Dark Parables, etc. But this is like a mini vacation from the depressing stories. At least try the demo. More games like this one please! I like going back to old-fashioned type HOGs and based on the demo, this game was an instant hit and purchase for me.

I thought the graphics were lovely, in metallic hues, adding to the "steampunk" atmosphere of the game. There was a voice-over at the beginning, but clear and easy to read text speech afterwards. I actually prefer that style to voice-overs!

The objects ranged from easy to find to challenging, but without any timer to worry about, you can just relax and search. You find x amount of objects; there are lists and silhouettes so far, collectibles in the way of flying pigs and inventory items. There's also humour, thanks to Oskar the cat!

All in all, a very nice game. Show less

I truly enjoy this game and i am having fun too. Yes, It's simple and that's what makes it interesting. the graphics looks fine to me and the music too. I guess each to it's own and i say give it a try and you too will enjoy it. I do recommend this game to all.

I always look for something new and challenging and this seems to fit the bill. I love the graphics and the idea behind the story makes it interesting, no matter one's age group. 99% of the scenes are beautiful and 75% of the time; objects
are difficult to find but very enjoyable.
If you have young eyes, no problems but older players will need a magnifying glass to find them.

Absolutely love the older classic games. Very creative, detailed and challenging. The hint system is interesting and very helpful. Can actually locate more than one as long as item isn't clicked. There's always that last one hidden object that's either smack dab in front or obscure. Although the timer doesn't interfere with game play, the point is probably to go back and try to improve. I played this little gem until the end. No spoilers, but the end is both charming as well as a cliff hanger pointing to a sequel which I hope the devs will work on producing. Oskar the cat seemed a bit odd at first, but his humour grows on you, and, yes he is rather odd throughout the game, although he is also somewhat normal compared with collectible flying pigs and weird steampunk creations.

This was a super fun game. There is a good story line. The focus is on HO's so those of us who love HO's are in for a treat.
Not all the objects are easy to find! In fact I found the extremely Baroque placing of items in the HOS made it quite challenging! There is a unique music box which you can run over the area for hints : you can either have the music box find it for you, (it lights up when you are on top of the object) or what I did : find the general area and then put the music box back and find it myself. There were only 1 or 2 in the entire game that I had to let the music box find for me.
You also need to collect flying pigs (very rare;) and they are not in every scene or in any kind of order so you have to keep an eye out. I managed to find them all, but if you don't there is a map that will help you out; you will need the pigs eventually.

Quirky characters, an eccentric owner, a glum worker who tells you what you need to do, and best of all, a snarky cat (aren't they all?) who is NOT a helper at all, and you will only ever be bothered by him unless you pass your mouse over him to find out what is on his mind. I found him amusing. Top it all off with an O'Henry ending and this is a classic to keep on your computer for the odd 20 minutes you have here and there and don't want to get into, or want to take a break from, more serious games. It is a huge game: I only played it occasionally and it took me about two weeks to finish!

There's nothing I didn't like about this game. It's simple compared to all of the doom and gloom games, but that's what I enjoyed most about it. The graphics are bright, the music varied and appropriate, the length acceptable, and the hint button is practically a game all its own. I enjoyed using it on occasion. I hope there will be more of these to come.
