2 things got me on this one, first, it's developed by one of my favorite gaming companies and, second, it's one of my favorite varieties of solitaire-golf. I can play this type all night and I have with one of my other games.

This is a fairly fast paced game if you make it so or you can play at your leisure. No time clocks to deal with, all you have to do is get all the special cards to win the level and that is determined by the choices you make. Of course you have to get 'em all before your card stack runs out thus the choices you make determines this.
Graphics are ok but not great. They need to be a little bolder and a smidgen more color. I like the many different card back and front choices you get to make which helps liven the scenes up.
All in all this is a nice game and I recommend it.
Play the demo and decide for yourself though.

I love a good Solitaire game, and who doesn't love a Pirate Themed Solitaire game? I have a few "cons" with this game, that was enjoyable playing the demo, but because the cons outweigh the pros, it simply isn't a game I'd buy.

I love a good Solitaire game, and who doesn't love a Pirate Themed Solitaire game? I have a few "cons" with this game, that was enjoyable playing the demo, but because the cons outweigh the pros, it simply isn't a game I'd buy.

The pros for me, is that it's a Higher/Lower type Solitaire game. I hate the Matching type because they are more like a Mahjong game than a Solitaire game. There are 12 Pirate themed card designs to choose from, and 3 face card styles available. You can play in Newbie mode which allows you to replay any level, or Professional which only allows you to replay the entire 10 pack level. I prefer to play in Newbie because I will replay a level until I get a perfect score.

The cons, The graphics are bland and mechanical looking, not very appealing. The music soon becomes annoying, and is the same music offered in all games by this dev (which usually are Tower Defense games) fortunately, you can turn the music off or at least lower the sound. As I mentioned earlier, I will replay a level over and over until I get a perfect score, I'm totally ocd about it, which is why I don't care for the feature this game offers where you win the hand if you remove all "Special" or plated cards, even if regular cards remain. It annoys me to no end, to have several cards left on the board, but because I removed the last special card, the level ends, it's especially hard when you are on a long chain streak, and you can't complete the record breaking chain! Finally, there are no new or exciting features, if you have played any Solitaire game requiring you to remove all special or gold cards, this one is no different. Because the cons outweigh the pros for my personal tastes, I really don't recommend Legend of the Pirates, try Magic Solitaire, The Chronicles of Emerland or the latest Zombie Solitaire game, the graphics are so much more appealing and you can actually remove all the cards on the board to win! just like so many other solitaire games. I played for twenty mins. but it was just boring. Nothing new. Just one card up or down from stack card. Sad because I thought I might find something new.

I don't recommend this game.

After playing solitaire magic cards 2 with its many different styles of play and its mini games this seemed very dull. It is just golf over and over. If you like golf then you will like this game. It has no bells and whistles, no mini games just golf.
To me it got boring pretty fast.

I don't recommend this game.
