It has been less than a year since the first Edge of Reality game The Ring of Destiny was released and since I enjoyed it, I have been eagerly waiting for a sequel. However, when I beta tested the game for BFG, I had mixed feelings on whether it could live up to that first game but I decided that since there is a good 2fer sale, to go ahead and purchase Lethal Predictions. Although there are some things that I am not too sure I like, I still find the game to be very good.
The artistic style and the graphics are colorful and quite clear with only a bit of mistiness when the artists felt it was needed. One of the things that I find annoying is that some of the voiceovers are very slow and dragged out, making them seem painful. Your tools include the integrated map and a special bracelet that you receive early in the game. As is usually the case with special tools, its use is accompanied by a puzzle to solve.
The HOPS are my favorite type being mostly list with a bit of interaction. There is some variety included but, happily for me, the developers stayed with tradition. The puzzles are mildly challenging at times but for the most part they are not brain-numbing difficult.
There are some good extras in the CE version of the game along with the standard stuff such as achievements, concept art, wallpapers, screensavers, music, videos, replay of HOPS and puzzles, a bonus chapter and the strategy guide. Some of the collectibles to be found are quite hard to spot, and, yes, I did cheat when there was one that I absolutely could not find.
Although not everyone will like the game, it was perfect for me. We have yet another rainy wet weekend here so Lethal Predictions is the perfect way for me to spend the day since I can’t be out in my garden. Even though I have played HOPA games for over ten years, I still found places in Lethal Prediction where it was a bit difficult and I couldn’t find what I needed to do to progress. There are some gamers who might become bored with the game but I love it and am enjoying gawking at everything I see. Because I really enjoyed the first Edge of Reality game I hope that Lethal Predictions lives up to my expectations but thus far, I find it entertaining. Maybe because I am a dog lover with my own personal pack of Yorkies and a Chihuahua, I find the antics of Uni enjoyable to watch. Who could help but love a dog with big droopy eyes who wants to play at every turn? Edge of Reality 2: Lethal Predictions is, IMHO, a wonderful game but please try the demo to see if it is a game you will enjoy as well. Show less

This game, in my opinion, is not getting it's due. This is a fantastic game that I just couldn't stop playing. So much fun!

First off I've been saying for years it would be so nice to have a scary or horror type game in a clean, reality based setting instead of broken down, bug infested, stomach retching setting, this is that kind of game! Everything was so nice to look at yet I still had to stop a monster and save the world, which I did, Yahoo!
This is also one of those games that also reinforces my belief that we shouldn't be passing judgment or leaving reviews on just the demos alone. This game gets so much better after the demo! The bracelet is a little hokey but the longer I played the more fun it became as did everything else.
First game in a while that I just didn't want to stop playing and I was sad when it was over, would have liked to play a lot longer!
I do highly recommend this game.

Based on the demo. This is a pretty straight ahead, easy game. Easy HOs, easy puzzles. Predictable play and story line. But the DOG. There is a DOG! They could have done the game without her, but if you've ever had a DOG, you need to at least play the demo. The DOG gets the game 5 stars from me. Do try it out and enjoy.

The artwork is excellent--clear, high def. Voiceovers are appropriate to the character visualized. Takes place in a contemporary setting with a supernatural bent. The story features the classic desire to preempt strikes on a looming disaster. The HOPs and puzzles have just the right mix of variability suitable for all skill sets, without yawning with boredom.
Hardcore mode allows for Hint, skip, and even helpful messages.
The special effects are good, with movie-like cut scenes. Transitions are good, and plot is easy to follow. You have a mystical bracelet that glows cluing you to put up the bracelet to interact with the mystical creature.
I loved this game. It is an outstanding value for those who love a good yarn with hidden objects to find. Show less

Do you know what I like about this game which makes 5 in the Edge of Reality series for me thus far? It is the fact that I'm almost half-way into this SE version and this amazing, magical bracelet is still intact--still keeps its glow when needed! You know those tears and crystals and runes from other games that explode into tiny pieces until you find another tear or another artifact, or talisman to repair to recharge or regain its power? Not so with this amazing, magical bracelet. Just watch for the glow and you're in business! As I said, I haven't finished the game, so who knows what will happen to the bracelet until the end.
The storyline is wonderful. Yeah, it's got a devilish spirit and or mist once again, evil is lurking and killing people. Accidents are happening and you need to stop this so-called evil monster as it is referred to in the story.
The monster is the result of ancient magic that existed long before this particular city was founded. The bracelet and the artifact are connected to both the magic and the monster, and then the dangerous journey begins. Sarah needs to stop the attacks and with this bracelet, she can predict what will happen. When the bracelet glows, it sees nearby mystical objects. People are dying and people are in the hospital, so Sarah better shake her tail feathers and get a move on!
I love the flow of this game and the graphics are crisp and vibrant. The music is cool, the hint and map buttons are spot on. It can't get any better for me. The minigames are typical for 4Friends Game devs but I'm really, really digging this game. Of course, there is the ridiculous in some of the tasks and objects you will retrieve but we should be used to that by now. The voiceovers are wonderful but thank goodness for the skip button because as good as they are they speak too slow and I'm impatient as it is but I do my best to read the script and move on.
The hidden objects scenes are my favorite. Sometimes they are challenging but these devs are very clever and they make it challenging for us at times. I love their interactive HOPs!
Then you have the cutest dog, Uni, who is a big helper and adorable! Such a playful and good dog. That dog deserves a treat! Several treats!
4Friends Games, you did it again for me! Applaud! Applaud! Applaud! Well, I've got to get back to the game! See ya' later! I highly recommend it! Show less

I liked the storyline to this game.
I loved the basset hound Uni.
I loved the GPS/cellphone mini-game.
I liked the mystery bracelet gadget: When it's activated gorgeous aqua graphics come up with a ghostly female's head. Wearing it allows you to interact with spirit energies and you can see mystical creatures.
I noticed the graphics are better in some scenes than others. In Chapter 3, the Police Hall, Armory Room & Police Office weren't as good but the scenes after that improve again.
I liked how the main game ended but the cutscene was really short. I liked the ending to the CE/bonus chapter better.
CE bonus play: You comment on a picture that Roy (police officer) and the girl are getting married. My cell phone rings and I learn Roy has been arrested and we need to figure out why.
- I counted 13 scenes in the bonus play.
of those 10 scenes are new and 3 are old/revised from the main game.
- I think there are 6 HOP and 7 MG.
If you liked this game, you may want to demo
Mystery Tales: Her Own Eyes
This dev always offers several screensavers with the CE content so I tend to purchase a lot of CEs from this dev because of that. This game has 4 so I was thrilled by that.
Developed by 4 Friends (now called Friendly Fox). Thank you, great game! I highly recommend the CE version. Show less

When I first played the demo of this game in the Collector's Edition, I wasn't all that impressed, and I only gave the game a 3 star rating. When I first played the demo of this game in the Collector's Edition, I wasn't all that impressed, and I only gave the game a 3 star rating. I decided to purchase the CE during a BOGO sale because it was free, why not. I will be honest with you, I haven't completed the entire game yet because I haven't had enough free time lately, but the game is actually picking up speed, and I'm enjoying it. Most of the time, I will buy a game after playing an awesome demo, and after a chapter or two, the game just loses momentum, sometimes it's as if the devs figured out a really interesting beginning, and an epic ending, but don't quite know what to do with the meat of the story in the middle, but this game seems to be doing a decent job with the plot.
Initially, I was disappointed because I absolutely loved Edge of Reality: Ring of Destiny, because it was a fantasy game featuring dragons and other mythological creatures. Lethal Predictions however, takes place in modern day, where everything is realistic, until you discover a magical bracelet that allows you to see things no one else is able to see. I was hoping this game was about dragons too (without the princesses) but at least the storyline is different than most games
Sarah is a journalist who becomes frustrated with the police who seem to be clueless that their city has been plagued with an unusually high amount of strange, unrelated accidental deaths. Sarah decides to begin an investigation of her own, and her father Jacob lends a hand. Shortly after the introduction, logic gets tossed out of the window, the family dog Uni, (my dog's name is Uno, so that's kind of cool) is lying in her dog bed cuddling with an item you supposedly need. You then toss a ball to her which magically opens a small purse, and the only thing that spills out is a pair of scissors that you just so happen to need to open her bag of dog food. After filling her bowl with the food, she emerges from her bed which magically exposes an enormous pile of junk you must sift through HOP style, Uni obviously has a hoarding problem! The next thing you know, an explosion occurs that lands the three of them in the hospital How Uni got to the hospital is one thing, WHY Uni went to the hospital is the bigger question, and I'm pretty sure this is unsanitary. Sarah wakes up, (apparently her lab work was able to determine that she had no medical problems whatsoever) dad's still snoozing, Uni's got all the time in the world, she'll just wait for dad on the unused bed. To leave the hospital, Sarah must use dad's keycard!? This is the same keycard that dad uses to gain access to his office!? Security for both buildings is worthless if any keycard works on any door, did I miss something here?
In the Collector's Edition version, there are the typical Achievements to earn and replayable puzzles, but the only collectibles are 44 opaque hidden Masks. In my opinion, the masks are actually hidden quite well because they are opaque, they blend very well into the scenery.
Most of the Hidden Object Scenes are Interactive List finds, one of which gives you a fragment with each object found that completes a picture and gives you a brief synopsis of the story.
The Mini Games are pretty easy to figure out, below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Set the pressure gauge to 7 by pressing valves to adjust the pressure.
2) Examine each folder and determine which cause of death symbol to match it with.
3) Choose directional arrows to follow phone direction paths to take.
4) Match pairs of symbols by flipping over two sections at a time, sections shuffle with every wrong selection.
5) Enter the correct code according to the clue, select the numbers below the flowers to change them.
6) Jump over the faces until only one remains, only different faces can jump over each other. There are 3 different levels that increase in difficulty.
The Collector's Edition has 18 replayable Mini Games, 11 replayable Hidden Object Scenes, 4 Screensavers, 6 Concept Art pictures, 6 Wallpapers, 4 Music Soundtracks, 12 Achievements to earn, 24 replayable Movies, 44 collectible Masks, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy! Show less
