This new series by 4FRIENDS is another example of how popular this developer is quickly becoming. In Dark City: London you play the role of the detective. This new series by 4FRIENDS is another example of how popular this developer is quickly becoming. In Dark City: London you play the role of the detective. Called in to the solve the mystery of the cursed clock tower! The developers have done well to evoke the atmosphere of a classic grimy Victorian detective story. Reminiscent of Sherlock Holmes(without Dr. Watson) and Edgar Allan Poe. Especially with the depictions of the locations. The variety of characters – including the voice-acting (which I though was done very well)made this installment more interesting. The plot and game play are also nicely combined. Which quickly draws you into this unfolding dark and eerie mystery. The game play has plenty of variety. Though possibly a bit on the easy side. However there is plenty to do. Including multi-layered hidden object games. With mini-games and puzzles within HO games. Once you’ve collected the evidence at each stage. You’re presented with a deduction board. Where you can put your sleuthing skills to the test. By arranging the clues you’ve collected into the proper order to deduce important facts that will help you solve the case. Overall, this is a well-designed detective game. Though, it may not be very challenging for advanced players. There’s enough tasks involved to enjoy in the varied game play and the story is quite compelling. This HOPA has everything required to make it a fun Victorian mystery adventure. I really look forward to the next game in this exciting new series. Cheers!

I loved this game so much, I stopped playing in the middle of it to look for other games by this developer. I wasn't surprised to find I'd already downloaded all the other games available. Can't wait for more from them!

I loved this game. A couple of the puzzles were hard for me, but that is not unusual in these kinds of games. I want to say to the programmers that the HOPs were great in size and color. I do not have the collectors edition because I could not afford the extra money. However, I will still play this edition again and again, and be happy. I highly recommend this game.

This game was extremely challenging. Graphics and music was excellent The game was a little difficult so you have to put your thinking cap on. The hidden objects are not always easy to find which helps to make this game interesting. It is a long game. Could have easily been a CE. The story line was great. I really didn't want this game to be over. Guess I should have bought the CE. Best graphics and voiceovers I've ever experienced with these games. Had to be real actors. Everything was fun, especially the puzzles, and there were quite a few. I think you'll really like this one. Oh -- good music too!

Playing this, was like stepping into the Victorian era. The developers really brought that time period to life. This was a fantastic game. The art was flippin' awesome! I HIGHLY recommend this game.

Though I didn't buy the Collectors Edition-that was because I didn't see that it was worth it. I like achievements to be in a room all by themselves and objects representing them, I also like when ...Show more

This game in CE did not have any of that, so I went with the standard edition.

I have to say this is the most fun and engaging game I've played in a while. Great work devs, keep it up. I just have one question: why do they keep calling it Big Clock instead of Big Ben...?! Is there some sort of copyright issue involving the Parliamentary clocktower that I've never heard of, or did they change the name to try and make this game easier for non-brits to understand? A game from 4FRIENDS without any fantasy or paranormal elements. You play a detective to solve a case similar to a Sherlock Holmes investigation.

Gameplay and everything else about this game is fantastic and a joy. If I have to find something on the downside, the full game could have been longer.

I was utterly and absolutely captivated by this one. Graphics and voice-overs are impressive and quite engaging, the storyline was quite original and exciting and the HOG were more innovative than usual. I wish I've gotten the CE. Outstandingly good game!
