This game gets my vote for being one of the best I have ever played. I truly liked everything about it. The morphing objects were not easy to find, which was great. Also liked the Hidden Object game when completed turned into a puzzle.
I recommend this game!

After a hidden doorway in a study, forgotten pages in a book we are now on the track of a novelist and his taleworld. Your father Godfrey Lane disappeared years ago without a trace. But the wonderful memories of him, the time spent together in your childhood days, are still vivid. He may still be alive, as a cryptic message, you received recently, suggests. You shall come to the ‘Den of Fun’, a playground, where a special package would be waiting for you. You find it and realize, there is a card with dad’s handwriting and a mysterious box, to be opened with a silver quill. When you install the quill, a portal opens and on entering you indeed meet your dad.
You are in taleworld. Godfrey explains, this world was created from all his stories. But when he found a way inside, he was at the same time blocked from the heart of taleworld, the Spark. The one, who stands between the Spark and him, is the sorceress Helen, who claims to keep the Spark for the Creator. But you would be able to go. With Fear Bringer, the mighty sword, taken out of a stone, you can enter the city. Only there and finally in the chamber, where the Spark is kept, you face your next problem: Warlock Cyrus. He has imprisoned your father, drained his essence and formed the Spark out of it. Now, that he has taken it from us, he can regain power over taleworld.
We are taken as well and wake in father’s study, where he greets us ….
A fantastic story with legendary and some sci-fi elements, good and evil forces and all formed out of one source: the imagination, that lets us form worlds out of stories. HOS and puzzles fit well into gameplay. Plot unfolds fast and reminds me of predecessing Nevertales, where we already met a taleworld, though a different one. Or are we just in another chamber?

REVIEW BASED ON THE ENTIRE MAIN GAME
5 Chapters Plus a Bonus Chapter – Strategy Guide: 42 Pages – Time: 4 hours
OVERVIEW: The “spark” of imagination can be an asset or liability – it can create or destroy! For Godfrey Long, an up-and coming writer, his creation, Taleworld, has trapped him within its boundaries. One of his characters, an evil wizard, Cyrus, has captured his Spark, and now wishes to use it become the new Creator. Play Long’s daughter whose father disappeared into this world when she was a child. He has now contacted her for her help to escape this kingdom. As Godfrey Long’s daughter, find yourself swept up in a vortex, entering this world to answer you father’s call to defeat this evildoer and restore the Spark to its true owner, your dad!
MECHANICS. Science meets fairy tale land in this game! This game is one which should appeal to writers who are always look for the “Spark” to provide the brushstroke of words to create other worlds. It may also appeal to sci-fi lovers as well. It is a hybrid which I would call a “sci-fi fairy tale.” This strange hybrid seems to work well for Mad Head. The pace is excellent with plenty of activities within the game. The graphics are incredibly beautiful especially in the “Gaia” chapter.
You can replay seventeen (17) HOP scenes. And again, I do hope Mad Head will consider offering some puzzles to replay. There are many collectibles within this game. Collect thirty-one (31) each of swirls, story mementos (disks) and treasures. The swirls and mementos are within the same scenes. There are also sixteen (16) morphing objects within the HOP scenes. There are eleven (11) achievements to earn. Some of the achievements have three parts.
BONUS CHAPTER: I LOVE this game; however, I did have technical difficulties with this chapter. I was not able to play the Bonus Chapter because once I finished the game, I could not access it.
SCRAPBOOK SUPER HEROES: The game offers a scrapbook which provides a cartoon snapshot of the Mad Head employees. And truly, the members of this gaming team are superheroes and geniuses in gaming.

HOP SCENES: There are seventeen (17) HOP scenes in the main game. Most of these are either lists of items or silhouette. I did not see much creativity within these scenes. Most are standard searches with a minimal amount of interactivity. All the items are easy to locate. There are a couple of matching scenes and a few storybook scenes. Some of the storybook scenes have the player searching for one item at a time. My favorite was one in which you must locate different colors and patterns of beans within rather large bag of them. This was slightly difficult. Other than this one scene, I was not impressed with the others.
PUZZLES: There are twenty-two (22) puzzles in the main game. However, I do believe I may have not listed one. However, I was not going back to replay the game to locate it! I do feel the puzzles are the best part of the game. Many are creatively designed. They vary in style and difficulty. I did not find any challenging. Here are a few from the game after the demo. There are two which I truly enjoyed. One involves an incredibly beautiful scene with flowers and the other involves coloring squares on a grid. Both are in the stunningly beautiful “Gaia” chapter.
SPOILER ALERT. THESE ARE A SAMPLING OF SOME OF THE PUZZLES AFTER THE DEMO:
A. Moving tiles puzzle. Move three wheels with different colored tokens upon them so that each token abuts a like token on the wheel. Moving one wheel affects the others.
B. Assembly puzzle. On a screen click on two symbols which combine to create a given larger symbol. There are 3 symbols to assemble. This puzzle been seen in many other games.
C. Connection puzzle. Connect a series of ore nuggets by following given paths between them without retracing your steps.
D. Connection puzzle. Incredibly beautiful! Switch bubbles within flowers with a different number of leaves within them so that vines which connect to the flowers equal the number of leaves in each bubble.
E. Logic puzzle. (And one of my favorites). Color squares on a circle so that no two (2) squares which abut each other have the same color!
F. Maze puzzle. Rotate four (4) colored dials to move a wheel of the same color to create paths leading to each of the four colored dials.
G. Multiple-step puzzle. (1) Switch puzzle. Switch metallic pieces so that the lines on each of the six pieces within the grid connect to create a maze. (2) Move a token through the created maze from one end to the other. (I found the token difficult to move within this puzzle)
H. Bullseye puzzle. Using a ray gun, try to center two sets of three tokens into the middle of a target.
I. Connection puzzle. Sword puzzle. Used in connection with the sword. Connect symbols without crossing lines.

He meets her at the other side of the portal and tells her to free "the Spark," imprisoned by Sorceress Helen after she defeated the evil Wizard Cyrus. Once she has freed it, they can return home. You will play as Godfrey's daughter.
Good stuff: This newest addition to the Nevertales series includes a variety of HOPs, lots of puzzles/mini-games, beautiful artwork, good characterizations, and collectible swirls and discs (memory mementos) along with a nice assortment of CE bling.
Bad stuff: You will see where the plot is going before you are too many minutes into the Demo. You do not need to be a psychic to see what will happen. Most of the collectibles, especially those discs, are easily spotted. The mini-games are average.
Bottom line: Despite the open book that is our plot, the game flowed along fairly well and nothing was horribly wrong. It is not the game of the year, but it will pass some time in between bouts of tax preparation.
I will wait for the SE, but you may want to plunge right into the CE.
Try the Demo and visit Taleworld for a time to see if this is an adventure you want to go on.

Hello friends! As usual, I review mostly on the game play and leave the story to others. I believe this is #7 in this series. The graphics are extremely well done and quite clear. We do have bright colors, but they are not over powering. However, there are bright lights occasionally, only when traveling to other worlds. Game play was very good, no problems and filled my large screen. Animation is quite well done and movements are not stiff or choppy. Voices are well done and are age and character appropriate. Music was nice and I didn't find it annoying or monotonous. Loved the sound FX, very realistic.
HOPs are varied, with interactive lists, highlighted words, etc. We also need to find morphing items in the HOPs, which is not as easy as you think. Scenes are clear and items are not difficult to find. Puzzles are not difficult either, nothing new or too challenging. Hint system is helpful and we do have a jump map, which I found to be somewhat bland and boring. However, I found that the hint will point you in the right direction, but not give a hint as to what you do when you get there. A little frustrating, but okay. I like that you have many different levels of difficulty to choose from before starting the game.
The only collectibles I found were the usual symbol that this dev uses in all their games, and story mementos, 31 of each. Not sure what the mementos are for yet. The collectible items are quite large and easy to find. This was a little disappointing.
This story is well done, and is somewhat different with each addition to this series. It is not extremely challenging, but enough to keep you interested and it has enough action to keep you moving. I really like this series and this addition is no exception. Because of the "non-challenging" collectibles, I gave this one a 4.25. I think this will appeal to all levels of players and yes, I am going to get it for my collection.
As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care for this one at all. Thanks for the reviews. Show less

It's time once again to enter the magical world of Tales, worlds created by the stories written in the real world. Through his books, Godfrey Lane has created a Taleworld filled with Warlocks and Sorceresses, Spells and Curses, Talking Animals, and Powerful Mythical Weapons! One fateful day, Godfrey discovered his Taleworld by sheer chance, when a magical Portal appeared out of nowhere. Godfrey Lane had penned some very imaginative books over the years, but he never imagined he'd become trapped in his own worldly creation, leaving his beautiful baby girl, to grow up without a father! Godfrey's only hope now, lies within the "Spark" the Creator's Spark, this Taleworld's only source of magic!
The Hidden Object Puzzles are are varied with Keywords in Sentences, Multiple finds, finding 4 Plates to open am Interactive List find (moves the object to expose puzzle fragments) as well as Zoom Zone HOP's to find Multiple tokens. In this Collector's Edition version, each of the 17 HOP's have a Morphing Object to find, and there isn't an alternative type of puzzle offered.
The Mini Games are really a little too easy, I'd just personally prefer them to be a bit more challenging, but they aren't horrible games. Below are brief descriptions of some of the games you'll encounter during the demo:
1) Select directional arrows to flip the sphere to find matching pairs of tiles.
2) Connect 4 game where you take turns dropping tokens into column slots trying to beat your opponent at aligning 4 tokens in a row.
3) Swap tiles to create the symbol shown in the upper left side.
4) Select 2 matching pairs or symbols to draw a connecting line between them that doesn't intersect with any other lines. Repeat for a total of 3 progressively more difficult puzzles.
5) Swap pie tile sections to complete the image. (HOP puzzle)
6) Rearrange statue parts to match it's mirror reflection.
This Collector's Edition has 4 Wallpapers, Concept Art pictures, 10 Music Soundtracks, 10 Cover Pictures (cover pictures from Nevertales titles) Scrapbook (pictures of heroes and villain dev cartoon avatars) 15 re-playable Hidden Object Puzzles, 11 Achievements to earn, 31 collectible Story Memento's, 31 hidden Mad Head Games Spirals, 17 Morphing Objects within the HOP's, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Chapter, enjoy!

Creator's Spark is a prequel of sorts. Taleworld was created from the collected stories of your father, Godfrey Lang, who went missing when you were a child. Now, you've received a clue to his whereabouts. Cyrus, an evil wizard, is holding your father captive because he wants the creative Spark, currently in the possession of good Queen Helen. Can you unravel this hate triangle, free your father, and save Taleworld? Let's hope so, or the rest of the series might disappear.
Gameplay has improved somewhat. Most of the usual laundry list that infests exploration was missing, thankfully. There is still a plethora of shaped keys, however. Among the matching pairs, sliding tokens, jigsaws, and "moving one affects others" are several new puzzles. I especially enjoyed playing Connect-4. The HO scenes are typical for Madhead. Overall, the challenge level should have been stepped up.
Madhead has, once again, created a stunning and imaginative fictional universe. Every location is fanciful and interesting, and I "wasted" a bit of my demo just looking around. Characters are drawn and animated well with the best lip-synching I've ever seen. The palette is extremely colorful, but not remotely garish…just perfect.
Ten varied musical compositions keep your ears entertained, and environmental sounds abounded, aiding in immersion. Voiceovers were truly professional, with appropriate affect and beautiful tonality.
I found the CE bling too sparse to justify double the price; the only extra gameplay consists of the bonus chapter and 20 HO scenes, and half the portfolio amounts to free advertising for the dev (the profile icons and cover photos). Also, the collectibles were really easy to spot. I'll probably pick up the SE as a rainy (or snowy) day game, given the fact that my credits are piling up with hardly anything on which to spend them. Try the demo; it's not a 5-star game by any means, but it is an improvement.

If I'm really being honest I found the game to be a bit simplistic almost juvenile due to how easy and simplistic everything was, from the hidden objects to the mini-games and even the graphics and locations. There is nothing new or groundbreaking in this game and we get the same old find these symbols which I honestly do not like!
The locations have no real depth to them, almost one dimensional, the scenery looks very nice but there isn't a lot of detail and you only go into a small area and many times it's superficially so just to do a hidden object scene. There aren't large areas with lots of things to see and explore which made this game somewhat lacking for me.
I think the storyline was somewhat interesting enough so that I will probably purchase this as an SE on a good sales day.
Games by Mad Head that I think are far superior and you might want to try if you haven't already are:
Never Tales the Beauty Within One of the best games on BF
Dark Realm Princess of Ice this game was perfection!
Cadenza: all except the last 2 where awesome, my personal favorite due to the location & music was Havana Nights
Maze the Broken Tower
Fright Chasers
Donna Brave and the Stranger of Paris
Dawn of Hope Daughter of Thunder
Adam Wolf: I loved all in this series!
and my personal all-time favorite game out of all the games I own is Beyond: Light Advent!
