Our peerless robot friend named Helper found an old bottle with an SOS message. The interesting thing is that the bottle was sent from Hawaii by an unidentified sailor more than two hundred years ago! What were the islands like back then? Helper might not have a time machine, but there are countless things to enjoy about Hawaii today!

Follow Helper and find out how his island getaway unfolds as you solve sunny nonogram puzzles!
  • Magnificent nonogram puzzles based on logic
  • Mini-puzzles and hidden objects scenes
  • Many tile designs to choose from
  • A variety of upgradeable power-ups
  • Rainbow Mosaics 13: Detective Helper

I love mosaic/ nonogram games yet I was disappointed in the last game as it started with a Hog and what was worse was you could not skip it but this time the Hogs come later and you can skip them, so happy.

This does start easy but then gets more challenging but you can relax and take as long as you like.
As usual there are many tile types you can choose.
Others will be along to give a more in depth review of the game than I can.
With all the uncertainty in the world at the moment it is nice to have a relaxing but challenging game like this now and then.
Thank you so much for making these slight changes. For me it makes a big difference Show less

This game should appeal to everyone who likes a good nanogram. My only complaint is that we have to strictly keep within the row we're marking - no tiny stray into another one or off the grid altogether while holding down your mouse button or else you'll have to start marking that row all over again. This game should appeal to everyone who likes a good nanogram. My only complaint is that we have to strictly keep within the row we're marking - no tiny stray into another one or off the grid altogether while holding down your mouse button or else you'll have to start marking that row all over again. That's such a tiny complaint since it just slows me down a wee bit (I can be impatient at times), didn't affect my rating.
Being able to choose between expert or normal (relaxed) mode is what matters most to me in a puzzle game. I prefer the extra challenge expert mode offers, like to be kept on my toes, but I also like to be able to play a more relaxed game if I feel like it (eg, when I'm tired or feeling under the weather). Having that choice is also what makes a game appealing to both beginner and seasoned puzzlers - as long as the puzzles are good and these certainly are.
I don't really care about a story although a good one's a bonus, that's for sure. This one doesn't dominate/overwhelm game play which I'm grateful for but I can't comment further on it because I didn't play long enough to find out before deciding to review and purchase.
Pictures are decent and fortunately, not all (or even many it seems from the demo) involve garish colours (in my opinion; depends on one's personal taste as a previous reviewer loves those extra bright and bold colours).
I'm loving this game so far so yes, I recommend it!

Helper gets carried away with his rescue efforts, as the story unfolds. I know these little stories don't appeal to everyone, but I rather enjoy the silliness.
Again, Rainbow Mosaics has delivered another quality game with a bunch of fun attached. This one has a beachy theme and really cute images that are recognizable even without the labels. There are mini-games included but I encountered only one hidden object scene during the demo which I played to the end. I play slowly so don't know how often they may occur, sorry I can't provide more info for you. I purchased the game right away, but Mr Sandman tucked me in too soon so I haven't continued the fun yet.
There are 130 levels, I played 7 in the demo. The color-wheel is wearing a simple design on its segments and there are 15 tile styles. I love the new flower design and the nice glossy look of 2 new additions, but can't tell what the other one may actually be. The colors are still as varied and vibrant as ever, I noticed a couple of new ones in the demo that really popped. One was an electric shade of lemon-lime that I loved.
The power-ups and upgrades are perfect as usual, there are lots of cute beach items to purchase with your earned coins. The goal of 3 stars has me replaying some levels to the brink of grumbling out loud, my mosaic skills are far from expert (lol)! However, these games are so addicting, I just keep coming back for more. They really are so much fun and even quite relaxing. I love to see the images emerge and enjoy trying to guess what they are after just a couple of colors are applied.
Rainbow Mosaics became a favorite from their very first release. The quality never fades, the story and Helper always make me smile, the colors are beautiful, the features and power-ups work like a charm, the big variety of tiles are fun, and I have never encountered any tech problems.
I was so happy to find Rainbow Mosaics 14 on Bonus Punch Monday. Thanks devs, for this sweet mosaic series! Show less

I loved Rainbow Mosaics when they first came out because they had better features than the "penguin-themed" games, the colors were more vibrant, they had more tile selection options, and they always had a cute little story attached to them. I know most people don't care about a story in a Mosaic game, but when you purchase an entire series...and that series is a long-running series, then it's nice to have different themes and to me, it seems rather lazy on a developers part to not bother to have to come up with anything new, because the last 6 games have been, "Helper does this, Helper does that". When they released Detective Agency Mosaics, that game had an amazing storyline and had 16 Five star reviews with an incredible average rating of 5-stars so I think that proves that people ARE looking for a better plot, at least something that doesn't have a Helper theme.
The last couple of games have added Hidden Object Scenes, which would be okay if they were somewhat challenging, but the Listed Objects aren't hidden, they are just laying out in the open, and they are large, out of place objects such as an air freshener on the beach? You can skip the HO scene, but you will earn a star for completing the scene, 2 stars for completing the scene using less than 2 hints, and 3 stars for completing the scene using one hint or less.
Fortunately, they have continued with the Tetris-style Mini-game that allows you to solve a puzzle to fill in a Mystery Number on each of the Mosaic Puzzles. You will come across a (?) Question Mark on each puzzle that hides one of the Numbers in a column or row. When you click on the (?) it activates a puzzle that requires you to drag all of the Tetris-style shapes into a grid without overlapping pieces. (btw: the puzzle shapes look really cool in the Lego-style tile selection) You can Skip the mini-game, and eventually, you will be able to figure out the hidden number by a process of elimination without having to click on the question mark, but I love this puzzle feature!
There are 130 Mosaic Levels with 18 Tile Styles ranging from beveled edges to Hawaiian flowers, but my favorite has always been the Lego-style tile. They have also added 2 Crossed-off tile options, one of which has a beveled or rounded edge, the other is the standard square edge. You can play in a Normal Mode which crosses off numbers one by one, or an Expert Mode which only crosses off the numbers when the entire row or column has been completed.
As you correctly fill in squares, you will earn coins that can be used to purchase Street Decorations or purchase upgrades for the Power-ups which are hint forms that will increase in the size of coverage with each upgrade. The Dog power-up opens a random right square, the Lightning power-up opens up a chosen square with no negative outcome, and the Lamp power-up opens a chosen grid area without a negative outcome. Each power-up can be upgraded twice to cover a larger area on the grid.

A very nice, colorful game, but the curser looses focus if you drift out of the square (very frustrating for selecting multiple squares.
Mice and tablets aren't the greatest for drawing straight, perpendicular lines on a strict X-Y axis. These type games should always lock the curser on the selected object and just follow the pointer movement as practical. Other publishers seem to know how to do

The storyline is a collection of facts about the places and things Hawaiian shown when clicking at one of the objects.
