When a painting game allows me to choose ANY of the images right from the start, I'm impressed. When a painting game shows me the number of cells available for each color, I'm even more impressed! When a painting game has incredible colors, interesting images, tons of options, and saves my progress mid-stream...I'm impressed enough to purchase the game and give it a 5-star rating!

When a painting game allows me to choose ANY of the images right from the start, I'm impressed. When a painting game shows me the number of cells available for each color, I'm even more impressed! When a painting game has incredible colors, interesting images, tons of options, and saves my progress mid-stream...I'm impressed enough to purchase the game and give it a 5-star rating!

When they added a Freeplay section a couple of games back I couldn't have been more excited! This is by far one of the best features offered in a coloring game. This feature allows you to choose your own colors from a complete, full-scale color palette so you can be as creative as you want to be. My second favorite feature is that each color tells you how many cells you'll need to fill in and it keeps track of the ones you've filled in so you know exactly how many remain unfilled.

The cursor is an actual Paintbrush and they also have a Wide Brush option that allows you to fill in larger areas. You can choose from 4 different Background Textures that will compliment your completed works of art (72 total) You can also choose the color of shading for the numbered areas, and the type of painting style, either Flat or a textured Watercolored effect that looks more like a real paint by numbers painting effect.

The Current Number is much easier to see than in the "other" painting game and the black lines are much smaller so the pictures are much crisper. The difference between the two painting series games is like day versus night, this game is quality through and through and the "other" one seems outdated and old-school! These images have a transparent background, unlike the other painting game which has an ugly gray background. These works of art, however, will be displayed on the background you have chosen, and they will be embossed with a blue & gold frame when completed, sometimes it's the little touches that make or break a game!

The colors are beautiful with carefully chosen hues of yellows, purples, pinks, fuchsias, teals, oranges, etc. whereas the "other" painting series has unappealing colors with a ton of brown and black variations, their colors just don't pop like the ones offered in Art By Numbers games! A butterfly might have 5 different variations or shades of pink on its wings which is something I have complained about several times on the "other" painting game. It's not very pretty when the same blue color is used on an entire butterfly and simply separated by really thick black lines in an attempt to make it look more dimensional. Every artist knows that you have to use shading variations to give a painting depth, and that is exactly what Awigor has done. This game was created by the same developer who brings us Rainbow Mosaics, one of my favorite Mosaics series, so they are masters of color, in my opinion! 2. The colors, hues, shades, tints, and color combinations are a delight to behold. Frankly, I just grin the whole time I'm filling in the colors.
3. Moving up and down from palette to palette is an easy scroll.

THE BAD

1. Upon completing a color located in a palette you scroll down to reach, you are snapped back to the first palette. This can be extremely annoying, especially if you are working in an area where all the colors you need are in that lower display.
2. The background music is a medley of compositions with a break for nature sounds. I love nature sounds. However, they are set on a different volume than the music and can't be heard without turning up the volume. No need to tell you what happens when the music COMES BA-A-ACK!

NO UGLY, NO MEH. This series is the bomb. It's my absolute favorite of the paint by numbers series. Or wait. I thought Modern Art was my favorite...? Show less

I am not usually a fan of the paint by number ones but this is different as you can also color what you like and do not have to do just what is recommended. Lovely and interesting pictures to do. Great fun for hours.

The levels are not locked until the first one is completed, so have fun starting wherever you want. I checked them all out but painted only a few because I wanted to save them for after purchase.

There are 72 images and it will be difficult for me to not paint them all in one sitting as I can easily get carried away. The only image I don't like is our little robot. He's taking up space that should be used for a beautiful image. Except for a couple, the pictures are striking, just bursting with color. The ones of people and faces are especially delightful. There's a fine variety of creations that I think will please everyone.

The color palette is full of beautiful variations on brights, bolds, pastels, metallic shades that turn each image into a gorgeous piece of art. You can choose either Flat or Textured finish, my favorite is the Textured with its built-in shading which makes the images even more stunning. There are 4 slightly textured backgrounds. Background color is adjustable, but only subtle shades of dark to light, no fancy colors. The numbered areas also feature varied shading.

There's a counter to keep you informed of the completed and remaining segments we are painting. The usual ever-helpful Zoom and Hint features are much appreciated. The paint brush cursor works well but I usually prefer my not cute smaller system cursor. I like all the options/features and there are never any tech issues.

The replay value is even better with the fun Free Coloring mode which makes this a great purchase, like getting an extra game for free. I love applying my own whimsy to the images, sometimes beautiful, sometimes weird. That's why it's so much fun. Just get crazy and experiment to your heart's content!

If all other paint by number games were this outstanding, we would be a bunch of Happy Campers wouldn't we?! 5 stars are not enough for this beautiful series. Never disappointing, every release is better than the last. I truly hope Awigor is a mainstay on BFG with their gorgeous and entertaining art games Show less

I enjoy having a paint-by-numbers game available when I want something to do for a few minutes. I have a touch screen and a stylus, so I actually find running the stylus around the screen to be a relaxing experience. I normally just play the demo when it comes out and never have liked that I had to complete all the pictures on the first screen before being able to play something I wanted to paint. ...Show more

I enjoy having a paint-by-numbers game available when I want something to do for a few minutes. I have a touch screen and a stylus, so I actually find running the stylus around the screen to be a relaxing experience. I normally just play the demo when it comes out and never have liked that I had to complete all the pictures on the first screen before being able to play something I wanted to paint. I looked at the first set of #6, then decided to click on a picture on another set. To my surprise, I didn't get a message telling me I had to complete the first set! I just had to complete the robot picture before completing a cool steam punk style picture on another set.
Think that clicking on the area to fill it in is boring? Well, I discovered the other cursor option will give you a bit of a challenge. It will allow you to fill in the area yourself, and it was fun, but challenging when I tried it with my stylus. Using my finger on the screen made it feel like I was finger painting, but you have to really make sure that the entire area is filled. It's easy to miss a tiny area with this cursor, and you won't complete the color if a tiny bit is not filled in.
#6 is a wonderful update and the devs did a great job with the new features. Show less

bright pictures and a good variety. some of them have really tiny places to find and you have to use hints to find them.

Me and my wife love these art games. This one was the greatest yet. I loved all the great colors and wonderful pictures. The contours on the colors almost look 3D sometimes. Love it! I hated it when I was on the last picture, although I do go back and redo and lot of them. I hope you come out with more, please.
