Thank you Match Gem for another great game. I don't listen to the music so I can't judge it. The only thing I would change is a puzzle after every 5 levels.
You keep making them I will keep buying them.
I recommend this game!

I've been buying this series since number 11, I believe, when they added lots of beautiful colors to the game. I've been buying this series since number 11, I believe, when they added lots of beautiful colors to the game. Through all those 100s of puzzles, I don't know how they keep coming up with fresh ideas, but they do. If you love tile mosaic puzzles, this is one of the top series to buy. If you are wondering if it's hard, no. The basics of the game are simple, and then it's a logical process of filling in the colored tiles.
I find these puzzles challenging, but restful, the colors are bright and happy, and the puzzles move fast, generally 5 minutes or so for me. If you like putting things together, figuring out recipes, sewing, or putting furniture together, this is the kind of logical thinking I'm talking about. A perfect kind of puzzle to play while watching TV or winding down at the end of the day. Show less

While I love Fantasy Mosaics, some are much better than others (I have most of them). I like this one so well I had to recommend it. I like the music. It has the right level of challenge to keep me interested, but not frustrated, the environments are fun and interesting.
I recommend this game!

I buy them regardless of whether they're repetitive as far as challenge goes. I just like them that much. I do have to say whoever is doing the music portion though is getting lazy. It could be less repetitive!

As usual with, and only with, Fantasy Mosaics, I bought this game without trying the demo. This is my favorite nanogram series because the numbers can be seen clearly and stay legible even after being crossed off, the resulting images have personality, the colors are readily differentiated during solving, and the music is generally calming (especially appreciated these days). This specific game is a bit disappointing. The number logic seems occasionally to be a bit laxer than usual, for one thing, and the music is not up to the usual standard--there are various bits haphazardly strung together with no relationship to each other, and one segment ends so very abruptly, in mid-phrase, no less, that the first time it happened I thought there was a problem with the game or my computer's sound. The inter-level puzzles that started to appear a number of games ago have been a welcome and fun little addition to this series, but if the rest of them in this edition are all as simple as the first one, then this game is a step in the wrong direction. In my opinion, the quality of the actual nanograms outweighs the quibbles I have about less significant parts of this game, so I recommend trying it to see whether you agree. Show less

I was a fan and own 20 of these games which won me over with their top quality and beautiful colors. But then the fun turned into boredom because each new game was really only a repeat of my old ones. My $$ will have to wait for something more to be added to regain my interest.
Obviously Fantasy Mosaics has a great creative talent, so it would be great to see a beautiful new nonogram series from them. I hope they will see fit to recover from the "lazy syndrome" that has befallen so many of our developers.
I don't think the Penguin family will ever lose its popularity, as the gameplay works flawlessly, the colors are beautiful and the images are really cute. But, IMO, some changes are long overdue in the way of features and extras, and "story". Show less

Does anyone else picture these developers sitting in a basement drawing "themes" out of a hat to see which plot to base their next game off of? After 45 Fantasy Mosaic Penguin episodes, the developers must surely be running out of even the simplest of storylines by now! I was hoping the Alien-themed episode would feature the penguin family being abducted, never to be heard from again, but unfortunately, that didn't come to fruition.
The puzzles during the demo portion seem to be geared more towards the Zen scale than the Brain-alert scale, which is perfectly fine, I believe there's a need for both types depending on what type of day you are having. Once again, I guess I should say for the 45th time in six years, the Penguin family has a dilemma on their hands, er, flippers? Looks like Robbie got lost in an amusement park, do we have to search for him?
I know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record here, but there's not a lot of change going on within this record-breaking series number. For a while, they were surprising us with an occasional new feature but now we are getting a Fantasy Mosaic game every 2 months but they are all the same now. Even I was beginning to wonder if it was possible to offer new features in a Mosaic game, but Daydream Mosaic and Detective Agency Mosaics prove that it can be done! Heck, at this point, I could simply go back to the beginning of the series and replay the games I've already purchased and it would be like playing a brand new series!
The only new features that have been added over the past 45 games, besides upgrading the color graphics, is a multi-color feature (added in game # 4) a Sun power-up (added on game #6) the addition of earning/deducting stars for using hints (on game # 15) two additional color bubbles offering 6 colors vs 4 (on game # 16) an Eye feature to view the background w/out the grid (on game # 18) an interactive garden feature (on game # 21) locked colors (on game # 27) different tile choices (on game # 28) an interactive workshop w/ mini-games (on game # 33) and Zen mode (on game # 34) 10 games later and not a single new feature OR story has been added, they still haven't figured out how to save your progress once you start a game, if you decide to exit before you complete the puzzle, you'll have to start all over, even new developers or developers new to this genre offer this feature so it can't be that diffucult to program?
The Zen Mode has returned for those who prefer to solve the griddlers without all the hand/flipper holding. In Zen Mode, the numbers aren't crossed off but Mistakes aren't counted against you either, because chances are, you'll have to edit some of the cells as you switch between colors. You can delete filled-in or crossed-off cells by right-clicking the cell in Zen Mode, and you'll know you have completed a particular color correctly because a checkmark will appear on the color bubble.
You can play in a Casual Mode which crosses off the cells one by one, or the Advanced Mode, which only crosses off the remaining cells once the entire row and column have been filled in. You will earn a Gold trophy if you make no mistakes, a Silver trophy if you make one mistake, and a Bronze trophy if you make two mistakes. You will also earn up to three gold Stars if you don't use any hints, one star is deducted each time you use a hint. Therefore, it is possible to make a mistake or two but still earn 3 stars as long as you don't use any available hints.
There are 20 locations, and each location has 5 Griddlers and an additional mini-game. You can choose from 7 different tile sets, ranging in color vibrancy, and styles. Locked Colors can be disabled in the Settings menu, otherwise, some of the colors are locked and unavailable until you uncover color-specific keys that are hidden beneath some of the filled-in cells The Eye feature allows you to hide the grid to get a look at the puzzle without all the grid lines, and there is a reset icon that makes it much easier to restart the level if you make a mistake.
There are groups of numbers located on each column and row of the grid, each group of numbers must be separated by at least one blank or crossed-off cell. Sometimes it's easier to cross-off cells that can't possibly contain a filled-in cell, which will reduce the number of cells and narrow the playing field down a bit, when you get stuck, you can switch colors and work back and forth until it's solved.
Some of the cells contain bonuses such as extra hints, extra mistakes allowed, or an extra pickax which allows you to choose which cell you want a hint on, and some cells contain keys to unlock colors (unless you disable this feature in settings) There is a Sun icon as well that when fully charged, will give you a mega-hint, filling in or crossing off a 3x3 area of your choice. FYI: I have opened my own forum! All game series lists and much more can be found at thewoodsforum.boards.net Show less

When a new Fantasy Mosaics is released, I'll play the demo with the hope that there is a new feature. Unfortunately, the game play hasn't changed in quite a few releases. It's not a bad game, just the same Fantasy Mosaics game as the many that came before #45.

Imagine my surprise at about level 12 when you have to guess to solve several of their puzzles. This has never happened before. Don't know if someone just got lazy or if they forgot the reason people play mosaics. Being able to figure out all your moves is key. It was still ok but I was disappointed. Now it is just like many of theother nonograms where you have to guess or use a hint. I'll not be buying these any more, but I guess 46 is enough - time to move on. Show less
