My overall rating is more like 4.5 stars
INTRO SCREEN 1 has:

INTRO SCREEN 1 has:
1. Unlimited Mode 0/100…. Peace signs. Find them all to unlock it.
2. Sudoku & Mahjong 0/60….8 balls to collect to play these bonus games.

INTRO SCREEN 2 has: It shows the 12 World location scenes you will play. You can view & play these location scenes in any order (but not the locked CE locations.)
I was able to play Egypt and it was way up the list! Thank you to the dev! You may want to take a second during the demo time to view all the scenes in the game.
The extra (CE) locations:
1. Alaska 2. Turkey 3. Italy 4. Scotland 5. Cuba 6. India
(I only saw these 6 in the demo but the game’s main page says this game has 14 additional locations to play… so I’m not sure on that.)

- This 2nd Intro screen also lists 0/60 FACTS found.
- 0/100 Peace signs found (Total of 5 a location but you will be finding them only 1 at a time as you play the scene then and once per scene as you replay the same scene using different search methods.
- 0/60 ❽balls -Total of 3 per location but you only find them once every time you play the scene.

ZOOM TAB: To the R of taskbar is a magnifier.

FACTS- Each of the locations has an educational paragraph about the location scene.

DID YOU KNOW ITEMS: Before you play a HOS you are shown a picture of some item, such as a chocolate bar. You need to find it in the scene and when you do, it gives you fun trivia about the item.

DIARY TAB- A diary holds the location FACTS in one spot, along with the “DID YOU KNOW” item facts.

GIFT TAB/GIFT SHOP: You collect game points as you play the HOS and spend them on 15 gift items. They are displayed on a shelf. I didn’t purchase any of the gifts during the demo. The best “Gift” purchasing items I’ve seen in casual gaming was in the game Twistingo, which showed purchase items as a small zoom zone of a moving GIF! In this game they appear to be more like the VA series.

HIDDEN OBJECT SCENES: Can be played in 5 different modes. There are 14 words per scene. They are:

1. ABC = Listed Items
2. ___bd = Missing Vowels
3. Cab = Scrambled Words (I hate these)
4. </> = Pairs
5. Star badge icon = Silhouettes (even better, they are Shadow Items)
>>> BLUE TEXT ITEMS per scene: There are 2 per scene and they are tasks to perform, such as putting a cookie back with the rest of the cookies.
These are my favorite type and I wish they had entire scenes of these instead of Scrambled Words.

SPARKLING AREAS: Each scene has 2 Zoom Zones that will sparkle when items are in them.
They are sub-scenes of the main location scene.

MINI GAMES: You will play easy Mini-games, like Match 3, in between every HOS.

GRAPHICS- The graphics are perfect. Crystal clear scenes have cleverly hidden objects in plain sight!

The only 2 things I felt that could be improved were:
1. There is no movement within the scenes such as the game Big Adventure: Trip to Europe 2 & the Vacation Adventure series has down pat.
2. There is no Ambient/Environmental slider in “Options”. I don’t listen to the music in this kind of game. I prefer when there are calming environmental sounds instead, such as chirping birds, waves, waterfalls, & background sounds. In this game, if you shut off the music there is no sound other than the game effect sounds.

IF YOU LIKED THIS GAME maybe demo this one: Vacation Paradise: France CE. It has a lot of the same features.
This beautiful game is developed by Point 8 Games and the replay value is endless. Show less

Luckily for us Point 8 Games is back with another gorgeous game. They're up to their beautiful tricks again, making this a great hidden object CE package. I didn't have to think twice about purchasing. There's so much entertainment here! It delivers top quality all the way through.

With 20+ worlds to get lost in and all the extras, the chances of becoming bored are very slim. Each location has multiple modes and each has 3 Facts, 3 Peace Signs, 3 to 8 Balls to collect in addition to the regular items. After all the "extras" are found, the scene is finished. To unlock Unlimited and Finale Puzzles all scenes must be completed. The variety of HO styles keep your search interesting, I enjoy them all, especially the Scrambled Mode. I also like the item on a list that requires you to bring another item to it.

Clicking the Hint encircles the area but doesn't pinpoint the item you're seeking and I like that it's still a little tricky. The Zoom areas are designated with the usual sparkles and the HOs are not so easy to spot as you would think even in the small settings. That's one of the many reasons I love this dev's games. They are always fun but none of the challenge is sacrificed. The extra help is always there to get you out of a pinch.

There is a generous number of mini-games included that will please most everyone. My least favorite is always Mahjong no matter how it's "dressed up" but there's so many, it would be petty to complain. With Match 3, Tile Swap, Spot the Difference, Word Search, Jigsaw, Memory and Sudoku I am very pleased. Easy, Medium and Hard play modes are available. I tried each one and can honestly say that Easy is the best choice for me. I can't stand waiting for the Hint to recharge. I can see misclick penalities arising too often because everything is so "not in your face". And just forget about the Timer, I would be a nervous wreck with that to contend with! (LOL) It would be so frustrating since the HOs are very well blended into the scenes. The devs did a great job of making this a challenging, fun HO game.

The locations are all over the world. Not being just in one country adds much more interest to the game. I love the trivia that comes with each one and learning anything new about places that I'll never get to visit. A delightful extra for me. The game is gorgeous, lots of color, beautiful clear graphics. Every Adventure Trip has been a beauty! The games are very lengthy, full of features and extras including a bunch of mini-games. The quality never falters and the CE is the way to go if you can swing it. A really fine value especially when the replay value is considered. But if you wait for the SE you will definitely not regret it, I own a couple of those too and they are packed with fun as well.

My ONLY niggle is, I don't like how the magnifier works. It can be used for only one item at a time and then falls back to it's position. Sometimes I spot 2 or 3 items I want to pick up but have to return for each one, also it has to refill. It is a quick recharge but I find it unneccessary.

If you have played any of the other Adventure trip games this is very similar. There are new scenes and the addition of Sudoku in the mini-games
The only game complaint I have is I wish they would allow the magnifying glass to stay on instead of clicking off once you find an item. You have to click it back on each time you use it to find an object.
Otherwise a great game.

I recommend this game!

I stopped mid trial, got the game free (because I had credits but would have paid), and now reviewing. Point 8 has yet to disappoint me. These games just tick all of the boxes. Great visually, generous game play, fun facts to learn (who knew you could go to jail for cutting down cacti?), the music is amazing and just plain fun! All the Adventure Trip games are so easy, which is always good for me. Big City Adventure (different countries and cities) is along the same lines.
I love HOG but i have to have the simple view. I'm not an expert or intermediate player like a lot of people are. Boonzap and Point 8 are great.
Im just an older person looking for engaging but not difficult games. Big Fish keep those HOG coming.

Another great game from this fabulous developer. The graphics are so clear and the scenes are beautiful. (Thank you for finally highlighting an Australian landmark.) I like being able to choose which type of game play and the bits of trivia are interesting.

I can understand some saying that there are bugs in the game. I came across them in Hoi An Vietnam and Mount Rushmore where the Match 3 games froze and there were only 4 tiles in the centre of the pairing tiles puzzle. So I uninstalled the game and reloaded it and the rest of the puzzles were perfect once more to the end of the game.

In my opinion, some of the puzzles are way to easy - the word search and tile pairing but the rest are pretty good.

I'll still replay this game though as I do most hidden object games. Show less

I have buy this game because I went for these game this one like New York, give you a choice to pick for your choice of Letters to get the questions. At 78 of ages it is behind my comprehension. If it was in French I would not no any problems.
The only problem I do have is with the jigsaw, all are so small that I do not recognized border from all the other. You larger system was a lot better.

I have also London but only stocked at the bridges where I cannot find but 2 crown.
I like these games and will buy more of these to keep me involve.
I will continue to play them with the sound off, as I do have my TV on on MSNBC, or FREE SPEECH TV while I play. Show less

love learning about different places, graphics are amazing.
Only issue I have is when playing the mini games, specifically the match 3 games, the screen freezes, forcing me to reboot my compter. Other than that, I love this series and look forward to the next

Definite buy for me. Enjoy the relaxing fun. Great visuals. Nice challenge and in theory no storyline but like traveling around the world. I have 2 others from this series and I am really enjoying this new addition. A lot of variety.
