Puzzles by Joe are phenomenal games PERIOD! Joe pours his heart and soul into these games; literally, he shares personal stories, what other developer does that?! He shares a part of himself and his family as he contemplates his role in society and what legacy he will leave behind. He teaches us life lessons, and he gives us a great game every single time! Let's try to stick with the game itself and not bash his hard work with negative reviews over a download issue; download links are the responsibility of BF and are clearly not Joe's fault.

Here's the thing folks, this game has everything but the kitchen sink in it...we'll, there may actually be a kitchen sink in one of these levels, but it does have something for everyone.

Mostly, this game has options...if moving objects are too fast, you can slow them down. If you don't like being stressed by a timer, you can turn it off. (Joe does suggest you try the timed mode) The beauty of the timer is that the level doesn't call you a loser and makes you replay the level if the timer reaches the end...Joe gives you the option to continue playing or move on!

If the new styles don't knock your socks off, you can play the old-school quests. You don't have anything to lose, except maybe your socks.

Honestly, I didn't enjoy the Dice levels, especially as they progressed because they drove me nuts! Once they started adding identical colored dice of slightly different shapes, such as square versus slightly rounded edges, I found it maddening to match dice with the exact numbers and all sides...but that's okay, Joe gives us the option to move on.

I did enjoy matching the shoes that would actually revolve off the edge of the screen and back on in a donut shape. I also enjoyed matching the edges of squares, and the Shapes (stars, moons, squares) I thought the levels where you matched different sizes were quite challenging as well.

After each level, Joe shares various quotes and reflects on how that quote relates to his own life. Of course, you can skip the text, but I enjoy reading them just as much as playing the clutter levels. After Joe's comments, you get to play a puzzle, such as swapping strips...all of which tell a story if you pay attention.

The graphics and colors are great and saturated, the full screen option is really nice for a laptop, and I like being able to play without timers, slow or speed things up, and a host of other options. The dice are truly devilish (a big thumbs up), the standard clutter piles have new items, and there are new shapes, too. I'm not too interested in long narratives and introspective story-lines, but I can always read them when I'm in the mood then put them aside. They do shed light on the mind that produces these great puzzles. I do appreciate the short quotes, puns based on Hemingway (ask not for whom...), and I appreciate that I can also turn these off too, if it suits.

I understand those who want to stay with the classics, but I this version is well worth it. It's a definite You-Bet purchase for me.

I've loved this series of games since the very first one and something tells me that this is going to be my favorite. Some people have struggled with Clutter because of the seeming lack of instructions. In past games, they were there, but sort of hidden/intuitive. My head swims when I look at this sea of clutter. This developer creates the greatest assortment, most challenging puzzles for his collections. This edition is almost too much of a good thing and I know it will provide endless hours and beyond of entertainment.

Like the other games from Joe that I own, it will go unfinished because of the mega amount of puzzles. I've never completed an entire game, each one seems a bottomless pit. I love them and play them often, usually to break away from the usual boring games that we have too many of these days. The features/options and instructions are a necessity for me and I sometimes tend to have trouble finding my way around, if that makes any sense. It feels like I've returned to puzzles already completed when I re-enter the game after a break. Maybe the abundance just has my brain befuddled.

In any case you cannot find a better value. You positively get your $$ worth and then some. Joe's games are always top quality. Not just a bunch of easy-breezy junk piles and simple varieties of boring puzzles . These are beautiful, colorful, interesting and certainly NOT boring. If you are a clutter nut, look no further. This colllection has you covered! A great buy! Show less

O happy day!
Tons of levels in this new Clutter game!
New objects blend in with the good old oldies and some variations are new as wel.
The game offers different quest for all Clutterfans and is highly customizable.
I am buying the CE version because it offers high value for money!

Sorry if you found this too hard or confusing, but that's kinda what these games are about. Brain exercise! I loved this demo. I do have to admit that I will wait for the regular edition because I don't often find the collector's edition delivers much extra for the extra money. However, I can't wait for that one to show up. Joe added some new elements and different challenges. I love his addition ...Show more

First a bit of advice: if you have another Clutter game installed via Big Fish, you might want to change profiles as soon as you load up this game and before starting to play. This way you don't accidentally risk erasing your other Clutter game's progress. You can do this by going to the main menu (click on up arrow on upper left) and then click on one of the smiley faces to the right when you are on the main menu.

Secondly, I am surprised people reviewing the game said there are few clutter scenes and the like. There are a lot, you just have to go to one of the other areas of the game. You can see these by again going to the main menu and clicking on the dice on the left. There's even an old school quest you can do if you don't like the newer quest.

So on to the actual review part.

I really liked this game, but then I am the kind of person Joe's Clutter games speaks to. I love puzzles: visual, mathematical/logical, word-based... This one has a big variety of puzzles, even if the actions are similar: sliding, matching, finding singletons, dragging, and so on. The subjects change and there is humor in the item selection.

I also love the flexibility of the UI and the game in general. There are so many options you can toggle on and off or tweak. The UI has been changed in this one and I am unsure yet if I like it more or less so far. Gone though is the funny conveyor belt at the bottom, which I will miss. I have not investigated if there is a toggle somewhere to bring it back.

I also like how Joe keeps providing us with different themes, types of puzzles and such.

As far as the story goes, I put in okay because from past experience they are usually okay. They are more associative and reflective than actual stories. I'm fine with that, that's cool, but I admit I don't play most of these games for the story.

The only thing I do not like so much is the music, but I tend to turn off the sound on many games, so that's not surprising I guess.

So overall, this is an excellent addition to the Clutter series. The only downer for me is that I am still playing It's About Time: I have done 300+ puzzles and have a bazillion more to go in that game. I have not yet touched the B-Sides game, which I have as well.

I will still be getting this because I really have loved this series so far and want to show support for Joe and Big Fish, which is kind enough to offer this game to Mac users like me. Show less

Joe continues to create challenging, intriguing games! There is a story attached, but one can dismiss the story and just concentrate on playing the games. You can set your own difficulty, control just about every aspect of the game--sheer genius! There are hours and hours of fun to be had from regular clutter sorting, to sliders, to dice play and thousands of other things. I recommend this game!!
