This is a very strange game but worth playing as a break from the adventure clones.
It's like a hidden object game designed by someone who had never played one.
Some objects you can see clearly and others you can't see at all till you move your cursor over and they pop up.

The decorating was fun. If you get frustrated but are a little patient the game will show you where to put the items so you are never stuck.
The story was interesting but got bogged down near the end. Sort of a soap opera.

This was a great leap from the same ole same ole HOGs where u search for the name of an object til u find it. This game gives u three objects at a time to find and they are set in little boxes at the bottom of the screen. If you cannot find the object there is a "?" under the box you can click on and it will show you a picture of the item. Makes it much easier as some of the smaller items are hard ...Show more

This game gives u three objects at a time to find and they are set in little boxes at the bottom of the screen. If you cannot find the object there is a "?" under the box you can click on and it will show you a picture of the item. Makes it much easier as some of the smaller items are hard to distinguish. I have only played the free trial so far, but I am enjoying it so much I intend to buy it and finish the game. I cannot comment on the end of the story, but so far I find it intriguing and can't wait to see what happens....does she find her missing uncle? Is he dead? Why did he leave clues all over the place? Did he know he was going to leave abruptly...was it planned? So many questions, so few answers to date, lo! Personally I find this a most refreshing type of HOG, wish the objects were a little easier to see, but the unique way in which it is presented is great as far as I am concerned! The added fun of being able to "decorate" this dilapidated old house is also a major plus in my book! I recommend you try the free trial and make your own decisions, but I am buying it now! Show less

Game Play:
Each room will individually light up. Click on that room and in several places around the screen you will see "keys". Click on the keys and you will be presented with a screen of teeny tiny items scattered about and in the scenery. Almost impossible to see, you literally have to run your mouse across everything in the scene to see what's what and where things are. There is a hint button but it takes a while to recharge. Click on the item's name and see what it looks like - this is extremely helpful. Upon finding all the items (usually around 12), a piece of furniture will appear. Place it correctly in the room and it's on to the next "key".
For all the tiny-ness of the items and the diligence with which you must look for them, this was quite a relaxing game and I was disheartened when the game ended.
I do encourage everyone to give this game a try. It turned out to be nothing but HOGs but it was fairly relaxing with background music to fit each background (i.e., Asian, Central Park, etc.)
Happy Gaming! Show less

This game is a twist on the usual hidden object list games. Instead of the objects being partially obscured, many of the objects in this game cannot be seen at all unless you move your cursor over the exact spot. This game is a twist on the usual hidden object list games. Instead of the objects being partially obscured, many of the objects in this game cannot be seen at all unless you move your cursor over the exact spot. So instead of using your eyes to find the objects, you must move your cursor all over the scene to find them. If you move too quickly, you won't see them. If you are off only a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of an inch, the item will not light up. Hints are available and I used several, particularly for that last pesky item after spending a lot of time already with the scene.
The scenes are complex and the list of objects to find is long. Further complicating matters is that perhaps twice as many items pop up under the cursor as are actually on the list.
Many of the locations are visited over and over again. The objects within a scene are also repetitive and often the exact same items that are in the other scenes. If it wasn't for the uniqueness of the gameplay that held my attention, this game would probably have become boring fairly quickly.
The storyline about a woman orphaned at a young age in search of the uncle who raised her is interesting. The game ends with a kind of cliff hanger, hinting at a sequel which may or may not exist.
As for the appeal of the Manhattan scenes, count me out. I'm not a big city girl and have no interest in New York. That is not what attracted me to the game; I just like good HOGs. Show less

Starts out as though it might be interesting. Only HOA's, minimal story line involving placing found fittings in a townhouse. The objects to be found are the same in each HOA, very small and often can only be seen if you hover over them. By the third HOA, it's very easy to find the items, extremely repetitive.
I don't recommend this game.
