I knew I would love this game when it came out since I loved the first one, and I did. The graphics are beautiful and for pure fun this is the game.
The bonus play is a great tie-in to the first. I am looking forward to the next installment.
If you want a game that is fun to play over and over again, this is it.
I recommend this. And don't forget the first.
I recommend this game!

I only started this game, so I'm probably submitting this sooner than I should, but I just want to say that so far, this game is a lot of fun! The graphics are AWESOME. It's not quite as challenging as one might hope, but it's not boring either. So far, so good!

Different kind of HOG but fun to play. Gets a little old after awhile finding the items to put together. Not a bad game just like more storyline. Buy when it is on discount.

This is the second episode of the Flux Family Trilogy, and the only edition available in a Collector's Edition and optional HD setting. In the first episode, Jesse was contacted by Veronica Flux, suggesting she might be a Flux family member. Jesse jumps at the chance to find out information about her vague past, and eagerly arrives at the Flux Mansion. After passing a series of standard Flux tests, she is told that her family has the ability to time travel, and Jesse agrees to travel back in time to fix history that has been affected by the Ripple effect. Naturally she finds the missing objects for great artists such as, Da Vinci, and Shakespeare, but finds herself trapped in the past because Veronica had tricked her! She thought she found a way to return to the mansion, however, she returned to the mansion 30 years in the past! She actually receives help from an unlikely source, herself, as a young girl!
This is an unusual style of Hidden Objects, you must search each room of the mansion for fragments of an object, and then replace that completed object where it belongs, somewhere in the mansion. The objects shown in the inventory tray can be found in your current location, if the object is dimmed, you will need to search in another location to find it. Once the object is placed, you will get to solve a puzzle such as lining up symbols on rings (clicking on one ring might affect other rings) There are normal HOP's with listed items, words in blue mean the object is hidden. If you click on the object, you can see a silhouetted shape of that item for free. If you click on the hint icon, there is a one minute penalty and if you click on the character located on the bottom left, you will get goal hints with a 30 second penalty. You can use the magnifying glass to zoom into specific areas of the scene and this feature is available for all aspects of the game not just the HOP's. There are 10 hidden Flux Badges which will give you bio's on each Flux family member, and there are 10 hidden History Badges which give you bios on famous people such as President Lincoln.
This Collector's Edition has Concept Art sketches, Desktop Patterns, Screensavers, MP3 Music Tracks, High Scores, a built in Strategy Guide and a Bonus Adventure, enjoy! Show less

Storyline: Continues where Time Ripple left off. Jesse encounters herself at a much younger age in the 1980’s. Together, they find her grandfather who helps her get back to the present day. But first she has to correct a few mistakes she made in Time Ripple. She interacts with a few historical figures, enabling them to have the historical significance which actually happened.
Gameplay follows the same structure as The Time Ripple – HOS, IHOS, Fragments and puzzles and mini-games with a little adventure thrown in. The HOS do contain a few small objects, especially long thin ones, so the magnifying glass comes in handy. The hint system is also helpful and recharges swiftly. The FRAGs produce objects that are used in the scenes to enable Jesse to move forward. Puzzles are varied; ranging from easy to slightly challenging. Although the usual suspects are included, there are a few unique and clever forays into new arenas. Puzzles and mini-games are skippable.
Graphics are gorgeous. Very good production values. If your computer has the capability, you can play this game in HD. This was a fun lengthy game with no time pressures (about 6-7 hours at relaxed casual mode). 4 1/2 stars, but rounded down instead of up because it follows the gameplay of the first in the series too closely with nothing really new. I really enjoyed this game. It's an improvement on the first Flux Family game (Ripple in Time), which I liked as well. It is the type of game that moves through self-contained scenarios containing several scenes in which the player completes tasks and then moves to the next scenario. I prefer that to the games in which I have to move around in a larger environment that I find hard to keep track of. Some reviewers commented on the tiny fragments of objects, and that's true, but they didn't mention that there is a magnifying glass available that makes it much easier to locate those objects. Also, there are many other more traditional hidden object scenes that contain some interesting interactions. Overall, this was a lot of fun; I enjoyed the main character, the cute little girl Jess, and I really like the owl that serves as the screen saver between scenes. The puzzles are a good mix; some of them stumped me. I have already purchased the third Flux Family game (Oracle) and look forward to playing it. Show less
