This game got me in the first scene, with the dialog. I just loved the guy.

It is a sim game, with a storyline that is advanced as more items are unearthed in the dig. In the meantime workers have to be hired, fed, and housed, and this all takes time. This game got me in the first scene, with the dialog. I just loved the guy.

It is a sim game, with a storyline that is advanced as more items are unearthed in the dig. In the meantime workers have to be hired, fed, and housed, and this all takes time. You may earn a grant by digging out certain items, but most of the money comes from delivering special flowers to the storyteller, and that takes some time. Workers have to expand their skills, and this only happens through experience. And in the meantime the old story gets told, as sell as the contemporary one until the last secret is unearted and the sotry reaches its conclusion.

Other workers have their own romances going, and sometimes they will be happy, and sometimes heartbroken.

This game combines adventure with strategy in a great story about digging around an ancient location. The only other game I've seen like this is Artists' Colony, but this is even better (better storyline and more to do). BFG PLEASE get more games like this!!!

I really liked this game i wish they made more games like this one or that the creators continued the game because it is really well done. It also has a very good storyline. I have to say, I did not care for Artist Colony all that much. But THIS strategy game is actually fun! No, it is NOT yet another HOG, thank goodness! I hate them and am disappointed that 98% of the time, that's what BFG gives us...

PROs:
*Clever side-game puzzles, not impossible.
*Strategic thinking is required but not impossibly difficult.

PROs:
*Clever side-game puzzles, not impossible.
*Strategic thinking is required but not impossibly difficult.
*Speed of game is adequate, altho there is a speed-up button. I did not find it necessary, but perhaps later in the game, I might find it useful.

CONs:
*As others have mentioned, you must follow the proper order of things, else you will reach an impasse and will have to start a new game.
*If you do not level up your all your diggers, you will run out of low level dig sites for them. Be careful.

Just remember, for each skillset, you will need 4 characters to reach level 6. In other words, 4 lvl 6 diggers, 4 lvl 6 surveyors, 4 level 6 brushers, 4 lvl 6 Analyzers and 4 lvl 6 cooks. Fortunately, this does not mean you need 20 characters! That's the nice thing about each character having 2 skills!

I not only recommend this game (as a Strategy/Adventure game), I bought it before I even completed the demo!

P.S. Since there is nowhere to post a complaint about too many HOGs... I will repeat myself here. BIG FISH GAMES, C'MON! More variety, please!!! Show less

This game very uniquely blends hidden objects, Sim, and strategy. My only disappointment was when I completed the game. Looks like I will be creating another profile and playing again.

I love this game and artists one as well because their pictures and audio are just amazing. The story line is easy to follow but not boring. They give characters different faces and talents, which made them come to alive. I think it's more of a girl's game because it's a bit romantic as the love story is the main thread in the game. Please make more games like this one. More specific personality attached to the roles would be great ! Also great story with a hint of insight is best. Show less
