Game offers big fun in the Big Apple

Based on the Demo: Perhaps not great big WOW factor fun, as it is a story about a young woman starting out on her own and trying to 'make it' in the city, yet, FUN! I thoroughly enjoyed the time I spent playing, A Girl in the City. It was unique enough to be challenging and the graphics are good. There are a variety of different and interesting puzzles and in the process, it gives an opportunity to familiarize oneself with the layout of NYC. In addition to all of those qualities, the story is pleasant and thoughtful.

Definitely a FUN game to play.... I'm giving it 5 stars because I enjoyed it so much that I kept playing even though it was very late at night and I was tired. It's offers good, clean fun.... now off to BUY! :) Show less

Okay, so this developer is well-known here for not being popular because if its clunky game mechanics and teeny tiny items in the hidden object scenes. I guess I've played so many of their games now that I've learned how to maneuver around and actually have some fun. And I was pleasantly surprised to find how much fun I had. Okay, so this developer is well-known here for not being popular because if its clunky game mechanics and teeny tiny items in the hidden object scenes. I guess I've played so many of their games now that I've learned how to maneuver around and actually have some fun. And I was pleasantly surprised to find how much fun I had. I actually identified with this woman's angst regarding the job hunt and the relationships she creates along the way. Her story is fun and interesting. The horizontal movement in the HOS may be dizzying for some folks but it's a staple for this developer and offers its own kind of challenge. I like it, as well as the variety of minigames that comes along. The music and ambient sounds are appropriate to each location too. Try the demo and see if you don't agree. It may take awhile to get used to how things work but if you can master it during the trial hour, you'll have a good grasp of how the rest of the story pans out. And it pans out quite well, in my opinion. Show less

Ok, it's not the best HOG I've ever played but the story is fun, the characters are quirky. At one point it made me laugh out loud. One drawback is the very small items. Another was the black handkerchief I was to find sure looked red to me when I found it. If you like finding multiples of the same item, this could be the game for you. I have found "A Girl in the City" to be a good hidden object game with some twists and nice mini games. The object are of medium difficultly to find but the mini games make up for some less challenging aspects. As a Daily Deal, I find it to be well worth the price.

I enjoyed this game and found it a good mixture of games and object but there was lots of double typed words and random errors thrown in which slightly confused me on some challenges but besides from that good.

Sometimes, when we are used to things being very, very difficult, we need to go back to our roots. Look again. If it is in plain view, it does not make it the wrong thing to do.

I have only played the free trial, but I bought it on the Daily Deal just to remind me that life does not always have to be so very, very hard. Show less

It's been awhile since this game out and I never review it. So I played this one until end and actually it's fun for spending my lazy time.
If you are HOG lovers then try this.
And I have rule for myself once I play the game, play it until end.
That's why I gave it four stars because this game successed killing my lazy time.

I recommend this game!
