I have NEVER purchased a Collector's Edition game before the demo was up, but I had so many areas of the map and storyline that I wanted to explore, that I didn't want to feel that rush of 1 hour almost up. Going to buy now.

Music was appropriately spooky and serene, Map available showing you objective areas, In game strategy guide, lots of items on the screen are interactive, including the HOS. I'll leave it up to you to figure out what to do with them. New types of games, new types of "cursed" objects. Bonus game button for those who finish the standard game. I love that you can click on stuff in the game that you don't necessarily need, and the game interactively discusses the items - pulls you in. Oh yes, and there's RATS!

I'm going to take my time on this game. Fun times ahead. Show less

This one is from Blue Tea and once I saw their logo I already knew it must be great and I was right. It really is a fab game.

The intro is stunning. I'd strongly advise not to have a cup of coffee in your hand as I did or you may have to mop the floor, too :-). Because of that alone, I decided not to play the full hour of the demo, so I can watch it a few more times :-) until I have the cash to ...Show more

Moving characters, fantastic voice overs and from what I saw and recall of the legend of the Piper it is well researched but does have its own life.
The graphics are stunning, so much to see and to do and really beautifully done. The HO scenes are the best I have come across in a long time and the same goes for the puzzles. They are innovative, fun with a level of difficulty that won't frustrate. There are morphing objects and a lot of things that interact on mouse click. You do come across an awful lot of rats which could be issue for some, especially for anyone suffering from musophobia. Personally I quite enjoyed the ones you can click on. They squeak and run away :-)

The game has a map which points out areas of interest. Not sure if you can teleport with it and the reason why I don't know that is because the scenes are so beautiful that I didn't want to.
I could ramble on and on telling whoever reads this how absolutely gorgeous this game is, but today I make it short. Want to watch the intro again :-). I will definitely buy this CE. Show less

Just from the demo this game rates an A+ from me. All the requirements for a first class HOG. Super graphics, interesting story, evenly spaced HOS and some quality mini games. Will definitely buy the full version.

I definitely enjoyed this game as well of the developers other titles.This is Pied Piper of Hamelin gone postal loco in a good way.Beautiful graphics,excellent sounds and voice overs.The Hog's and challenges were great.Storyline: Take a childhood fairytale add a twist to it and ...Voila! I have other Blue Tea games, I knew this would be a good once I opened it. Was not disappointed at all,beautiful scenes, did't find cut scenes blurry. Bought this game right away. highly Recommend this one.

This year someone must have made him mad, the pied piper has returned with a vengeance, bringing with him millions of plague infested rats! The Pied Piper is now known as the Dark Piper, and it's up to you inspector, to figure out how to stop this madman and rid the town of rats, once again!

This game is very similar to the Dark Parables series, same design, same music and most of all the same unique nonlinear Morphs that I adore. Morphing Fable Objects may not morph the first time you see them, it usually requires an action within another scene to trigger the morph, so you will have to revisit areas several time in search of the morph, which makes it so much more challenging!

Unlike DP games, the Hidden Object Scenes are interactive list finds, with just the right amount of difficulty. SPOILER ALERT: there are several interactive items in each scene, but not all of them are necessary, just to throw you off track. The Mini Games vary in difficulty from easy puzzles such as selecting specific objects in a stage play to allow the wooden horse to return to the stable. The hardest game in my opinion was selecting flower bulbs correctly so that all connected paths would light up.

This Collector's Edition has 20 Morphing Fable Objects, 8 replayable Puzzles, 20 Movie Videos, 6 Wallpapers, 6 Music Soundtracks, 18 Concept Art Pictures, a built in Strategy Guide, and a Bonus Chapter The Midas Lair. This is a fantastic game and it is surprising to me that more games haven't been produced in this series, enjoy! Show less

I am never disappointed with this developer. To me, they seem to put a lot into each of their games. Here again is a CE that I think is worth the money, in my view. The H0S scenes, of which I counted 28 in the main game and 9 in the bonus play, are clear and uncluttered. This many H0S in a game is usually a disappointment to me, but I had no problem playing them in this game, even three back to back. The graphics are so lovely they are a pleasure to play rather than something to be endured.

The puzzles are not that difficult and there could have been more of them for me, but they were still fun to play. The cat hint button is very cute and recharges very quickly and the map, showing objectives and areas of interest is useful. There is some running around to be done, but the setting is not so large that it should cause too much confusion.

I recommend this game. Once I started playing I found it hard to stop. Show less

Just finished 'Fabled Legends: The Dark Piper Collector's Edition'. From 10 minutes in on the demo I knew I would buy this game. It had all the elements I enjoy in a game - wandering around, picking up things and really feeling like "you're there". The story is loosely based on the old Pied Piper story, except that here the Piper has unleashed a plague of infected rats on the townsfolk of Hamelin. Those who didn't succumb have fled the town, leaving you to walk around, solving the mystery. There were quite a lot of HOGs in this game and not quite so many puzzles. The HOGs were, for me anyway, relatively simple, and the items to be found were all visible. I *hate* HOGs where it's nigh impossible to find some of the items without giving yourself a headache from all the squinting up close at the screen! The puzzles there were, from memory, tended mostly to follow a similar theme. That didn't detract from my enjoyment of the game, though, because the storyline held my interest so well.

In addition, there are 'fabled objects' to be found #morphing objects#, 20 in all, so it did slow me down and make me take a good look at each scene before ploughing ahead!

There were a few times I needed to consult the built-in strategy guide just to keep myself on the right track, but more often than not I was able to keep track of where I needed to use particular items. I also didn't realise - until I'd finished the game - that there is a 'golden map' on the bottom right of the screen, which tells you where 'areas of interest' or 'active areas' are. That would've saved me having to consult the guide to find the next HOG - doh!

Overall I highly recommend this game. For entertainment it kept me hooked, and - like all great games - I was disappointed when it finished. I'm in the middle of playing 'the Midas Lair' just now, which is the CE's bonus content. I believe that once I've completed this there will be more bonus content in the form of stand-alone puzzles accessible from the main menu.

Lots to keep you occupied in this game, which gets a 5-star rating from me! Show less
