It has a Journal and an interactive map.
You'll collect cute pets, which can be modified (legs, arms, head ...) and also collect coins to buy clothes and accessories for them.

Just one word: excellent!!! Yes, this is meanwhile the 4th game of this series and ERS did a good job!! Very detailed, crisp and clear ERS-like graphics and welldone voice-overs.
3 modes to choose from (can be changed during the game). Interactive map with tasklist, which allows you to travel and a very detailed journal. Hint shows you the direction, where to go next and refills quite fast, at least in the 2nd mode.
We have a great variety of different (not too challenging) puzzles along the way and yes: this time a few hidden object scenes also… (I know, this will disappoint the „hard-core“ Azada fans…. But after ERS took over this game, they changed the whole „look“: Some will love it, others not…)
Gameplay is fluently, most of the found items are used soon. Soon we’ll get a magic bottle, attached to the inventory. When it starts to glow, you are able to pick it up and move it around to find hidden areas and/ or use the magic potion. Loved that!!:) Inventory can be locked, so it won’t disappear at the bottom.
A cute (not really necessary, but fun:)) extra is our pet friend which you may customize and/or mix it: you can choose from cat, owl, panda and dragon. And from these pets their different parts, as head, arms, wings, body and tail. During the game, you will find so-called critter coins, whith which you can buy clothes for your pet…
Another nice extra is our collection of Azada’s dwellers…
Not the Azada that we used to know, but I loved playing it!!!! Didn't regret this buy:)) Show less

BASED ON OH-SO-LABORIOUSLY COMPLETED GAME
Everyone and their sidekick has reviewed this one, but I’m putting in my two cents’ worth anyway.
I would have recognized this as an ERS game within seconds. One look and you know. And three bars of the music as well. I do think I caught one track that didn’t sound like either Azada or ERS.
But I would have recognised it as an Azada game in my sleep. Why are these games so darned hard? I love the idea, so I keep buying them, but they are way beyond my abilities!
The story, I think, is this game’s weak spot. While it remains the appealing lost-in-book tale of all the Azada games, it seemed a bit strained in this one, and no feeling whatsoever of being in a book rather than the many alternate worlds faced in other games. I believe a fifth in this series would be hard pressed to sound credible.
If, as the arguments say, this is Azada-for-dummies, because we have HOs now, then pass me the dunce’s hat. I found even the HOs to be some of the hardest I’ve played! I was overwhelmed too, by the sheer volume and creativity of the many puzzles and mini-games. Such colour, variety, imagination! Wow!
In the battle between the pre or post ERS, I weigh strongly in favour of ERS. This is the most beautiful and imaginative endeavour from them yet, and was way better than the earlier Azada in visuals.
As a fan, I’m also proud to see ERS finally break out of the mould and introduce features like the interactive jump map and all those unusual extras in the Bonus Content. I’m still trying to work what to do with the Azada in Colour, but the Azada Dwellers volume was an excellent idea!
Now, ERS, to get my unreserved Best & Bravest Hero award for most adventurous developer, I just need you to lose the female voice actor you’ve been using shamelessly in every game I can think of. She was never to my liking to begin with, but now I cringe whenever there’s dialogue.
Bonus Content Review *****
I’d forgotten to mention that I managed without using the SG, when lo and behold, started the Bonus Content and immediately needed the SG!
However, the bonus content is actually a little easier on the whole, of reasonable length, and holds well together. It flows well from the main game, without being at all necessary to it. In fact, I really enjoyed it.
We’ve mentioned all those extras, so I won’t repeat myself. They’re all fun.
And so now, after struggling through FOUR Azada games, I can finally say:
I recommend this game! Show less

Poor devs. If they make a sequel using the same format as the prequel, they get "Same old same old." If they make it with a different format, it's "Oh, no, they've changed it." Can't catch a break. All the Azada games are different from each other anyway, so I don't understand which one this should be the same as. I played it as a stand-alone and judge it on it's own merits, which are considerable. ERS is to be commended for all that they are put into this excellent game, and not many are acknowledging that. Not so long ago, we got a 4 hr standard main game and a 1 hr BC. In their last game they included collectibles for the first time. In this one, they have included everything anyone could ever ask for, again for the first time. These are not being appreciated so I am going to list them:-
You get a special pet, which you can design yourself, from a whole gamut of different creatures parts. It is not a helper, but an addition. It speaks animalese so it is translated for you. This pet will appear randomly in-game and speak one simple sentence which you simply click on to end it. I cannot see these seconds long speeches as anything negative. You collect coins throughout the game to buy clothes for it because it is feeling the cold, of which there are many unique styles and colours. It should be noted that you do not HAVE to do this if you don't want to. You can just ignore it.
There is a special book and when you encounter an exotic animal it goes into that book, with a some info about it on the other page. Again, you do not have to take any notice of this.
There are amulet parts to collect, which go into the holder next to the inventory. Once you have found them all they are used to break the spells cast by Panoptes.
You carry a magic potion with you that lights up when you have to use it and reveals hidden areas for puzzles and items.
There is a very good jump map which shows different areas in picture form, such as completed, objectives, undiscovered and incomplete and also lists the tasks that need to be done in each area.
The majority of the puzzles have a much higher level of challenge to them and are beautifully designed and great fun.
The main game is 5.30 hrs long and the BC 1.30 hrs. Another big step up from the old 4 and 1 hr lengths.
These are all things that ERS has NEVER given us before and I can imagine their disappointment when the majority of what they are getting is criticism. I appreciated these immensely and am very grateful to them for listening to us and putting so much into this excellent game. It is a far cry from their old fare.
The cut scenes are perfectly done and the voice-overs are flawless. There are not too many and not too long and all are clickable. Much as I love Elephant Games, they cannot do graphics like ERS. I put them at the top of the list for exquisite artwork. The iHOS are very good and there are just the right amount. Another aspect ERS always gets right. The story is good and well told and the music is much better - no dirges or funeral marches. The mechanics are spot on. This game veers away from the very simple and takes on a much more integrated and immersive slant, so the SG is necessary and it is very well put together. There are no demons or occult dimensions. It is a fantasy. The hint/skip buttons are super quick. If you are an arachnaphobe, there are a couple of rather hairy spiders to contend with, but only a couple.
Two minor points for improvement:- When you open the map and click a location it asks you if you are sure you want to go there. I found this unnecessary and could not see the point. The other is the very dark red on dark green in the iHOS for the list items. Difficult to see. Most devs use white and yellow for this. Much easier to read.
So, here we have a 7 hr game with all the bells and whistles, which I for one had given up expecting from ERS, and a jolly fine job they made of it all round. Thanks ERS, very much, for hearing us. You really put your all into this and it shows. Your game is terrific and I highly recommend it. Show less

As always, the graphics are great but we have even more imagination and color in Adaza Elemental. Not only do we have a furry helper, we get to name him and then find achievements throughout the game to build a wardrobe. How fun.
As a first for this developer, we have an interactive map. Kudos for this addition because it makes it so much easier to navigate.
I'm not going to go into all the details but will just say that I think this is truly a CE in all ways. Love the game and suggest that you at least try the demo and see if it is right for you. Show less

I believe that the reason many of the people are being negative about this is that is didn't follow the same formula of the first two Azadas, which were similar. But, why should it? We've done that already. Don't we dog on developers when they offer the same, old formulaic games?
This was a wonderful game, worthy of the Azada series. It was the only game I've ever played at BFG where I paid any attention to the storyline, and that's because this was such a good one.
Azadas steal my heart for being true adventure games. In this one, there are several HOGs, but they are few in comparison with the great, innovative mini-games offered.
Every part of this Azada is challenging. I am an expert player and I play on the hardest levels offered in every game, yet I still go through them mindlessly. Don't check your brain at the door with this one; it was truly challenging and I loved that. I really had to think in this one, but it wasn't hard. There is a difference between being challenging and being hard.
There were a couple of things I thought were not the greatest here. As always, I opted to skip the tutorial, but I was still having to tell this game to skip the tutorial well into the Bonus Level and right up until the end of the game.
The HOGs were well done, and I hate HOGs. but a few were confusing because, for instance, in one it asked for a bird and there were a hand-drawn bird in flight, an owl, and an actual image of a bird in the scene. That's three birds. There were a few things like that. A minor annoyance, but it was there so I must mention it.
I enjoyed how the movement flowed. I always shake my head when I read reviews where people say, "I didn't like all the running around and going back and forth." Let's consider that for a moment: what else would you do in a game like these? You've got to move from place to place, so what's the problem?
If there is a world in which you move all around the world in the game, then people complain about the running around. However, the other side of that would be to always be going forward and never backtrack. Then out come the complaints that the game is too linear.
This game has one of those interactive maps that allow you to move to and fro and I love those. However, when people review games these days, they always mention the maps and heaven forbid if a developer offered no map or one that is not interactive.
You know, maps are a relatively new thing, and there is no requirement - spoken or unspoken - that a game has to have a map.
But, this game has it all and the some. The game ends satisfactorily, and the Bonus Level basically takes the story beyond the ending, setting up the next Azada.
And, if that Azada is not like this one or the first two, let's be objective and give the game a chance to stand on its own. Show less
