My favorite Fill and Cross by this dev, hands down is Pirate Riddles, so I was really happy to see this sequeal today. If you haven't played a Fill & Cross, Griddler, Mosaic or Pic & Cross game before (all the same they just go by different names) here's how they work. The good news is that you don't have to be good at math, just deduction. Images are encrypted with numbers located to the left of the lines and above the columns. The numbers show how many groups are filled in the cells. All groups must have at least one empty cell between them. An example would be the numbers 1 1 1, on a 5x5 grid the first cell would be filled, followed by an empty cell, followed by a filled cell and another empty cell and the last cell would also be filled. Naturally the grids become larger and the numbers usually smaller, which means that you have to figure out which cells would be logically empty. To fill a cell you simply left click the cell, an empty cell would be an X by right clicking, or you can use the available icons and switch back and forth. You can click and drag large numbered cells both empty and filled as well.

Some of the cells contain coins that can be used to purchase bonuses such as getting two starting hints, the right to make three mistakes (you will have to replay that grid if you make a third mistake normally) or a bonus that will refill the hints on that level only. There are 17 different achievements or trophies to earn, and the grids are played on 6 different Pirate themed Islands which have 20 levels each for a total of 120 swashbuckling games. I have the first Pirate game and I was not disappointed in this one. The graphics are good and so is the music. The game has a good challenge. I thoroughly enjoyed the demo and I will definitely be buying the full version. Definitely a must have if you enjoy this type of game.

If you like nonograms, a/k/a "fill and cross" or "griddlers," you'll enjoy this game. It has a pirate theme, so expect language and music that goes with it. My only complaint is that I can't tell what most of the pictures are at the conclusion of each riddle. Other than that, I'm playing this with Windows 7 and everything is working just fine.

I recommend this game!

This game allows the use of logic to solve the puzzles...a must when it comes to excellent nanogram games. I've played half of the game and do allow myself mistakes, yet I've only used five hints so far.

I recommend this game!

I just bought the game after checking it out closely for issues based on the complaint of the first reviewer. I had no problems whatsoever and enjoyed playing the game as much as ever.

The only suggestion I have is to include an advanced mode which most other cross and fill games now have where the blank cells are automatically filled once the row is fully marked.

This is a more or less standard riddles game with few surprises (or none for those who playes such regularly) but the music is pleasant and not irritating (this is rare), nice graphics and no problem at all with controls.

I like these games for the times I don't want to be stressed with timers or overly difficult puzzles. And they are getting better! Not nearly as many ambiguities as they used to have, and the graphics are much better.

Gameplay is smooth - at least on a PC. 8 Floor has adopted all the regular conventions - i.e. right and left click and drag to fill. There isn't a way to adjust the crossing off of numbers, which is my only gripe.

There are various achievements and trophies, and there is a store where you can buy a few upgrades.

All in all, pretty good. Show less

I play this type of game all the time. Rating only the demo. I didn't have any issues playing the game. All controls worked for me. Made it through several levels pretty quickly. No story line that I could see but a good game to kill the time during the day.
