I bow to you Big Fish, this game proves you truly are the game King! You have exceeded my expectations with Wicked Harvest. How can you possibly top this game?
The Scarecrow has been terrorizing the citizens of Blake's Mountain Ireland, who could blame them? This scythe wielding giant scarecrow is wicked, and he's "harvesting" children for the Red Moon! What does he need all of those children for and who is the cloaked figure calling all the shots? Could the Healer who lost her daughter to the plague be seeking revenge?
Words cannot describe this latest edition of League of Light, whatever descriptions you can think of probably apply, it's that good, and you will definitely want the Collectors Edition. Once again there are 25 hidden owls to find and they are extremely well blended into the scenery, some are real owls that can easily be overlooked and some are just images of owls such as wood carvings in the woodwork! You will also collect figurines of the main characters like the gypsy fortune teller and the creepy Scarecrow, there aren't a lot of these and they are usually tucked away in the zoom in areas. I'm not sure where the little miniature scarecrow came from, but you will rescue the less wicked and much less intimidating little guy from a hungry dog and he sticks around to help you during your investigation. Some of the inventory items have plus signs indicating that further action need to be taken before using that item such as putting pieces together or combining that item with another inventory item. Some of the items you find will actually be used on the baby scarecrow such as a shield and sword to help him scare off a flock of angry crows. There are a lot of Achievements to earn and if you click on the extras icon and go into the achievements section, you can answer three easy questions about the game, and then three difficult questions so be observant during the game. Each achievement you earn gives you a puzzle piece that you can assemble as well.
The Hidden Object Scenes are very entertaining, and they are mostly interactive and progressive silhouetted shape finds where you find the first item that matched the silhouette and then use that item in the scene to expose the next item and so forth until you find all of the items. The mini games range from simple puzzles where you swap gems to match a picture, or find 5 different symbols on each scene of a storybook. I actually liked the game on a ouija board where you had to use the pointer to choose letters in a phrase in a hangman type game, however none of the mini games were hard or too difficult.
This Collectors Edition has collectible figurines and 25 collectible owls, Achievements with interactive games,Sketches, Wallpapers, Music, a built in Strategy Guide, a Bonus Chapter where you save the Healers daughter, and even an extra bonus game as well. This game is a must buy, with a phenomenal story and excellent graphics as well as exceptional entertainment value and some pretty cool hidden owls to find this is a CE must for me, enjoy! Show less

There is twist and turns which is why it keeps in gross in the game. The music is perfect. The graphics are outstanding. If you want to play an outstanding game get League of Light: Wicked Harvest. You certainly will not regret it. You will play the game to see how it all ends. I won't give any of the story away but the ending is not what will you expect. Show less

Yes, yes, yes. More of these please. Art work was fantastic, very pleasant to look at. Just enough evil and good in the game. As in a movie you began to care about the characters and felt that you had to do a good job for THEM! LOL.
I recommend this game highly. If you want to try the demo first, go ahead...but it is good enough to buy straight out.

In League of Light: Wicked Harvest a town is being plagued by an evil force that has begun to kidnap the young children in the town. Alice, fearing for the safety of her daughter has lost all hope of having the local authorities protect her and so she turns to the League of Light for their help. As you approach your destination you experience the evil power for yourself as your coach is attacked. With the coming of the Red Moon, will you arrive in time to rescue the missing children and discover who or what is behind the evil power threatening the town?
The graphics are clear, crisp and colorful, in fact, they are downright gorgeous and one of the most attractive things about this game. The only time the graphics have a less than crisp presentation is during the cut scenes where they take on a misty quality. Couple the awesome game graphics with very good (for the most part) lip-synced voiceovers and, IMHO, we have a game that hits the mark. The overall sound package for the game is quite good and perfectly sets the stage for a great spooky game.
You have a diary that contains your objectives as well as your notes that will help you as you progress on your adventure. The interactive transporter map indicates where you have tasks to accomplish if you have the option checked when you selected your gameplay mode
There are various types of interactive HOPs, some are the standard list type and others are silhouette type. I didn’t find any of the items too difficult to find although I did have to think about what items were needed in the progressive silhouette scenes. The puzzles seemed quite easy and I didn’t encounter too many of them during the demo. It seemed like there were far more HOPs than there were puzzles but since the HOPS include some mini-puzzles that helps improve the ratio a bit. Since I happen to enjoy solving puzzles, I would be a very happy camper if there were more puzzles in this HOPA game. Please keep in mind that my comments are based only on the game’s demo so this review is not the whole picture.
There are hidden owls to find as well as various collectibles. Of course we have the meaningless (MHO only) achievements to earn. I didn’t come across any morphing objects but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any. Since the SG is very limited in the demo, I didn’t get the total picture of the extras or perks in the game. If developers want to sell more CE games, it would be a marketing asset if they would make the SG fully viewable during the demo so that gamers would have an idea of game length as well as what extras can be expected.
This second game in the League of Light series is an excellent game and, IMHO, is far better than the first. From the graphics, to the soundtrack, to the puzzles and gameplay, I loved everything about Wicked Harvest. It is a story that some might not like but for me, Wicked Harvest is right up my alley, and I couldn’t wait to hit the buy button. As always, I recommend that you at least try the demo to see if this is a game you will like. Show less

What a great game to take into the weekend! This is the only developer that allows you to adjust "gamma" which is the light of the screen -- a necessity for me with a large monitor!
Anyway, you are a League Detective, summoned to Blake Mountain, Ireland, to solve the missing children mystery. You are there when 2 other children are captured and encapsulated into a jar by a quite scary scarecrow. It seems, perhaps, a healer who saved every one from the plague except her own child, may be behind all the mayhem. Plus, the Red Moon - when evil enters our world - is right around the corner!
You acquire a cute little scarecrow friend, who helps you chase off ravens and reach places you cannot. You even find items for him -- a headlamp for dark places, a shield and sword for a battle. You meet a gypsy who also helps fill in the story for you and gives you her "Eye" so you can communicate. The teleporting map shows areas for activity. And the hint button refreshes quickly.
The HOS are either silhouettes or a list -- not too hard. One of my favorite mini-games is a story book which tells a tale, while you find objects within the story.
The voice-overs are good -- the lips move. For CE bling there are 2 bonus stories, plus a fresco to complete by finishing achievements. You also collect 6 statues and 25 hidden owls. The four modes, including custom, should satisfy everyone.
This game is fun to play -- try it and see! Show less

The art work is exceptionally well done, music and sound are GREAT, the voice overs are definitely done by professional talent and none of the recent [icky] computer-generated fakey monotone; in fact, I'm certain I hear the voice of a particularly popular female sleuth with the initials of N D!? I read that the voice talent for Nancy D could mimic almost every vocal pitch. Needless to say, I am very picky about voiceovers in games ~~ in this game? I LOVED them all.
The creepy fairytale-like storyline is very engrossing due to excellently good pacing as well as the frequency rate of some unexpected twists and turns to the 'per usual'.
Oh~ and tho I typically do no enjoy having cute 'guides' I absolutely adored [!] the little scarecrow sidekick in this one... it could very well be, again, due to the artwork/graphics being amazingly good. The magically spooky factors are so nicely illustrated in both static as well as animated scenes and are just wonderful.
All in all it is SPECTACULAR for this Fall season, yet I could see enjoying this one at any time... !!!
Definitely check this one out... happy gaming Show less

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this game! There is NOTHING about it I didn't like ... well ... there was ONE thing but you have to read on to catch what it is.
The opening scene shows a little girl in a snow globe looking thing, all alone and crying for help. Uh oh, already doesn't bode well for her.
The graphics are absolutely PERFECT! No complaints regarding color use, clarity or anything else. Down to the individual blades of grass. And the way the colors blended so well into each other - PERFECT! The voice overs were also PERFECT! Totally in sync with the lip syncing (pet peeve of mine). Body movements, everything. Music was unobtrusive. Sound effects were PERFECT, from the crows cawing to the sound of the babbling brook.
There are 4 levels of difficulty - casual, experienced, masterful and custom. In "custom", I was a little surprised that we could only change the recharge time on the "hint" and not the "skip". Hmmm. But, to appease us, I suppose, the "hint" could go all the way down to ONE SECOND!
You get a diary, of sorts. It contains images that you click on to get more info about THAT particular item/picture/image and movie clips of the cut scenes. A map that has way too many legends (undiscovered area, open area, locked area, you are here, here is a task) Your inventory will contain a lot of PLUS items. You also get a crystal ball (seeing eye) in order to keep in touch with someone throughout the game - however, I didn't during the demo.
The HOGS (hidden object games) were varied and interactive. None were difficult and there was no apparent alternative game to play. The mini games were fun, some old, some new, ALL so much fun. Don't give up! Some require a little patience and perseverance. Of which I have NEITHER and skipped 1 - and I was at the end of it but just could NOT figure out the last step. DRATS! IMO mini games were more prevalent than the HOGs but not by a whole lot.
GUESS WHAT GANG??? You get ............... a HELPER! The cutest little helper you could ever imagine in a Halloween based game. AND, you get to give it/her/him different types of clothes/items to use so it/she/he can better assist you in finishing your tasks (what? Are you lazy?) and reaching things you can't. I LOVE this thing/gal/guy. Gotta keep you guessing about something, haven't I?
You have been sent to Blake's Mountain, Ireland. As you're reading the plea for help to find the children who are disappearing, your carriage falls through a rotten bridge and is hanging above a river of water. You fall into the water and swim downstream to find a mother and daughter in distress. Of course, there's also a creepy looking huge scarecrow you have to pass, and an equally spooky looking house. Someone is in this woman's house and she is SCARED. But, all you see is a shadow ..... of a pumpkin??? OH NO! All I can say, is BEWARE of that creepy scarecrow by the river!!!!!
CE Bling includes the usual wallpapers, music, blah, blah. But, HOLD ON! So much more! Lots of Achievements - and earn your first one before you even start the game! Here's a clue .... you get there FROM the "profile" page. Another clue? Read the 2nd line of this paragraph - LOL! Collectibles - 25 hidden owls - which are sometimes hidden quite well. 7 statuettes/figures - I found 4 by the end of the demo. Not done yet! A Bonus Game AND an Extra Bonus Game! Works for me!
The ONE thing I wish they had added. I sooo wanted to thank my little helper whenever it/she/he helped me. Just give it a little tickle in the .... nope! Just ..... Awww.
This game had me at the little helper, who I DIDN'T know was going to be my helper until later. But, when I saw it/she/he early on, I was HOOKED! No, maybe it was the creepy and spooky atmosphere. Or, maybe it was ... does it matter? I WAS HOOKED! And continued to BE Hooked! This game is sooooo gonna be mine! Now, if I can just convince someone to purchase it for me. Hmmmm.
I encourage EVERYONE to try the demo. It's cute, fun, not really difficult but definitely has that Halloween flair. Come along and help ME help the children of Blake's Mountain!
Enjoy! Show less
