In the realm of Orion a powerful wizard spent all of his time collecting knowledge from around the the world. He kept that knowledge within the pages of 3 books, and he used that knowledge to create chaos in the world! To put an end to the chaos, a brave sorceress named Salina, stole the wizard's three books of knowledge and fled into the night with her baby daughter Meredith, to the edge of the world where her sister Ariel lived. Salina tried for many years to read the books of knowledge that were written in an ancient text that only the wizard could translate. The years passed by and Salina succommed to an illness, Aunt Ariel raised Meredith and taught her everything she knew about magic. Eventually the wizard figured out where the books of knowledge were hidden, and his minions were ordered to set Aunt Ariel's house ablaze before they returned with the greedy wizards books. Now it's up to Meredith to finish what her mother started all those years ago!

This game was totally unexpected, the HD graphics are very well done, in a cartoonish fashion that actually works. The characters are extremely well done and there are some quality features within the mechanics of the game, which are usually reserved for the big boy games. There are 12 Enchanted Crosses and 8 Witch's Talisman's to collect as well as an abundance of available Achievements. Some of the items you come across require you to add other inventory items before using, several circles will appear with items shown as silhouettes and when you find those items you click and drag them to the correct silhouette. (I like this feature way more than plus sign indicators)

The Hidden Object Scenes are list finds, and in my opinion the items were very well placed, some were smack dab obvious and other items kept you searching the scene over and over forever to find them! The mini games are on the easy side, turning all symbols blue using levers on the left to rotate the symbols and the lever on the right to switch the colors of three adjacent symbols at a time, or rotating rings to line up slots which allow a ball to drop to the bottom.

This game may not be able to compete with the exclusive big named games we are accustomed to, but it is a very entertaining game with a handful of extras. This game proves that you don't always need all the bells and whistles to make a story pop with excitement, enjoy! Show less

This is a wonderful game! A great pity this game is released as a soft release, it's worth much more than that!

The story is told in a very good way and is really captivating. You are a young enchantress and have to save the world(s) from an evil sourcerer. This is a wonderful game! A great pity this game is released as a soft release, it's worth much more than that!

The story is told in a very good way and is really captivating. You are a young enchantress and have to save the world(s) from an evil sourcerer. He steals some powerful books and you have to retrieve them. While doing that, you encounter all kind of creatures, like an orc, a goblin... they are very lifelike and believable.
The graphics are beautiful, and the various scenes are gorgeous. It's a bit dark, but I like that, not fond of the childish over-bright games. The game plays very smooth and controls run perfectly.

There are all kind of goodies, like collectables and achievements! All this in a SE!!! There are 3 difficulty levels and also custom! You get a great diary and a jump map with indication of activities.

I really like this game and will be buying it today, it's definately worth it's money! What I love about it is that there is some challenge in it, not like the over-easy 'big' games that have been released lately, they bored me to death.

Try it and have fun, I'm sure you'll like it! Thanks to the dev's for bringing us this great game! BFG should have given it the attention it deserves... Show less

The mini-games are so varied, with lot's of new ideas. You pick up some items randomly, and others come from the HOS. There are items to collect along the way. It is heavy on the story line in spots but is so well done it's a pleasure to watch and listen. There is a great jump map, and hints work well if needed. I have finished the game and am playing it again. Just so pleasant to look at, I want to experience it again. Give it a try! I hope the developers keep putting out gems like this one!!! Show less

It really is a gem. Gorgeous graphics and the collectable crosses and talismans give it exactly what I enjoy about Collectors Editions. I like to complete a game in one sitting, but I've been at this one for a while. I'm taking a break in the third realm because I'm starting to use too many hints!
I usually don't buy a game without a walkthrough - even though I rarely use it - but with the map and directional hints there's really no need for one. There's quite a variety of HO types. Lists, silhouettes, a few riddles, and those objects that appear in a circle that need other items to complete them. Only one that I missed was FRO's.
For me, the mini games and puzzles are difficult. I'm not very good at them to begin with and I have to admit I had to skip a lot of them. But I did stick it out on some! Even the match 3 was a challenge! The puzzlers out there are going to love it.
Don't pass this one up. Yes, a treasure is a great description for this one. And one more thing... the music is enchanting!
Definitely my new favorite. Show less

Like a breath of fresh air, Cateia Games has produced a masterpiece of a game with creative puzzles and hidden object games that are jam packed with variety along with a surprisingly good story! Our heroine is actually looking for some one and something and going after them-- not running away from which I find quite refreshing.

I saw this game the first day it came out. I noticed the devs asking the players for their opinions in the forums and thought that was pretty cool, but I didn't have time and thought I'd buy it in a few days. Two days later I could not find it. I forgot the name of the game and BigFish didn't even show it on their main page! This bothered me to no end because I thought it was a little unfair to not even advertise it for a few days.
As I was grudgingly searching for another game, I saw it in the "If you like this game, try these also" area. I bought it right away, and I am happy I did! The other reviewers are right as far as I'm concerned, this truly is a gem.
The graphics were well done. The storyline was engaging and ran smoothly with no oddball elements included.
I usually cringe when the main character speaks throughout a game, but I found our heroine's voice pleasant. I actually felt sad for some of the characters at certain points.
I am hoping for a sequel to this wonderful game, and also more from Cateia!! Show less

It is the failure of an operation prepared for by gathering stuff and combining it and finding things and making something and then ...it doesn't work and one has to go back to the drawing board. I do not know when I have seen that in a game and this brief unpredictability is surely refreshing! and there is at least one other operation that does not produce immediately the result expected.
Beyond this the game somehow grew on me as I played it--the graphics are not the best, the story moving through three worlds of orcs ,men and elves to recover three magic books and then face the evil mage, is not exactly new, the hidden object scenes repeated in the same places too many for my taste and yet...and yet it has a charm ...partly maybe that I want to like a developer,Cateia, other than the better known ones and to imagine that it may become even more quirky and interesting in future games! I love this game. It hits all of the high points for me: great graphics, solid audio, challenging quests, and an excellent storyline. (I'm puzzled at the review that said it had no storyline- it was all about the story).

With over twenty years of hardcore MMORPG gaming under my belt, this game feels delightfully familiar with its quests for the orcs. elves, and humans, while still maintaining the casual style of HOs and puzzles. These developers are drawing ever closer to the crossover/blended game I crave and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

As Meredith, you travel to different realms via magic portals. In each realm, you receive a task/quest that you must carry out in order to aid the realm. Each major quest has minor side tasks that advance your efforts. After completing the quest, you have to defeat the evil minion in a "boss" fight of sorts- culminating in a major "boss" fight with the wizard. Instead of a shooter or slasher fight, it is a fight with casual game components (match 3, etc.).

The HOs are varied and interesting, with a nice mix of styles. I skipped most of the puzzles, as I'm not a puzzle fan, but they also were varied. The ones I tried were moderately challenging and fun. The game had an awesome map that showed available tasks and your location. It transported you immediately. The hint system was wonderful, too, pointing you in the right direction and not just saying something lame like, "There is nothing to do here." Argh, I hate that. There was some back and forth, but mostly within each realm, which was not vast, but small and manageable.

Like another reviewer, I loved the fact that every time you tried something, it didn't always pan out and you had to seek another way. It added a bit of realism to the game. In the fantasy genre, you already have to suspend belief in the norm, so any realistic touches help ground the game.

If you are a LOTR, D&D, WOW, and EQ lover like I am, yet are tired of FPS and hack/slash, then this is the game for you. It has all of the elements of the fantasy realm without the blood and gore. I just wish it had been longer and had more characters to interact with. I truly didn't want it to end. Show less
