What a great concept! This is a unique solitaire game where you drag and drop 5 cards of your choice from either the board or draw pile to create winning hands of poker. Just like poker, winning hands are a Royal Flush worth 900 points, a Straight Flush worth 600 points, Four of a Kind is worth 400 points, a Full House is worth 200 points, a Flush is worth 90 points, a Straight is worth 70 points, ...Show more

The goal is to remove all cards from the board to earn gold, if you have cards left over the stars will diminish to silver and then bronze, but you can replay the game for a higher score. There are trophies and achievements to earn as well, and as you progress you will be able to place larger bets, up to 2000 points.
You can use the points you have earned in the shop to purchase upgrades such as, Cheat Cards, a Draw Pile Counter, an extra Undo, Bullets to shoot unwanted cards, X ray Power Packs that allow you to see face down cards briefly, and even better odds of receiving free bullets. There are FBI raids and Police raids occasionally, and you cannot use cheat cards during that hand, but you can purchase upgrades that decrease the chances of the raids. You will play poker in most of the large cities, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC and even Miami, Orlando and Key West. You can change the cards faces and backs in the options menu as well.
The only complaint I have with this game was that the game shrinks the screen size down to a small window which is a bummer when you have a 27" screen. If you aren't a fan of poker, you may want to pass on this game, however it is very easy to learn (not master) and there is a help icon which shows you what hands qualify that can be accessed quickly, enjoy! I recommend this game!

This is one incredible game! Both DH and I are completely addicted. It's mostly 5 card poker with a solitaire layout for choosing cards -- a great format and one I hope to see more of. Like Fairway and other solitaire games, there are many power-ups that can be purchased, and there is a bit of humor as well. (Be sure to click on the men and women playing cards in the intro page, and you'll get a surprise!) There are also ways to "cheat" on this game that were apparently built in. For example you'll never have to pay $1200 to replay a game if you stop just before you finish it, and "perfect" hands aren't all that hard to complete, at least on the first tour.
People have complained that the game is too short, ending at the completion of the 9th city of the US East Tour. This is not the case. I completed all nine cities in gold and was unable to see how to get to the next tour, so I wrote Big Fish customer support, including a Dr. Felix report. I received a very nice email back, including a suggestion to update a driver. I did so, went back to the game, and noticed that there was a transparent arrow on the right side of the page showing the nine US East Tour cities. I hadn't seen that arrow before, but I may have just missed it earlier. I clicked on that arrow and was taken to the Western Europe Tour! So it appears that this game is much longer than it looks. It also seems to be tied into physical days played, as one can choose a new power-up each day, and some of the trophies are for playing, say, 21 cities in 21 days, one each day.
I highly recommend this game for poker/gaming enthusiasts, and I hope there will be more of this new genre to come.

You really need to be familiar with poker hands to be able to play this game successfully. The tutorial is minimal, but you gradually get the idea as you play. You try to obtain poker hands by taking cards from a combination of both the draw pile and the tableau. The cards in the tableau are face-down, except for those at the bottom of the rows.
There is a minimum requirement for each round, and you play for 1, 2 or 3 stars. In addition, you earn money as you play which can be spent in the shop to buy power-ups and upgrades. You certainly will need these if the demo is anything to go by. The first few rounds were fairly easy to win, but things got harder reasonably quickly.
Great graphics and animation. Background sounds were reminiscent of a casino, but reasonably subdued.
So, a decent new type of card game here, which has the potential to become addictive. Those who like either poker or solitaire should try this game. You just may love it.

The great fun though instead of playing up down you are trying to make poker hands. This allows for great choice making such as do I clear the table with a straight or save the cards to pair up for a full house 250 points. As you play you learn how to make better hands.
Build up nicely to more difficult rounds. So far everything is doabble I am on the fourth tour. You earn points that allows you to buy helpful power ups - x-ray, get rid of cards, go through the deck five times. Show less

This is 5 card stud, with a few cards laying out making up the "solitaire" portion. You get rid of the cards on the table by making poker matches in your hand of five cards. The graphics are clear, music a bit cheesy but brief and not intrusive, Game mechanics were tight, it ran well on my computer. Storyline is basically each hand series is in another city for a tournament.

Based on the demo, it is easy, moves fast, and you can buy cheat cards or other items from your winnings, which also come easy. If you want a simple hand of 5 card stud, this is a good choice. If not, not so much. It is not solitaire if that is what you are looking for.
I gave it a 4, because I do not agree with low balling a game ONLY because it turns out to be not my type. This is too simple for me, did not engage me, however it is a good little poker game if you do not want much but the hands dealt. In fifteen minutes I had gone through the first three tournaments. Not for me, but with all of this understood, if it is for you, then check it out. It is well made and tried to be fun for me, it really did. Show less

This is a cross between poker and solitaire. You have to make hands which rank like poker, with better scores for the better hand you get, whilst eliminating all the cards on the board.

I enjoyed this game from the start and was a definite buy for me. I do like poker and card games, but they are often the same, but this was a bit different. It's easy at first, but then gets harder, and I've had to replay a few rounds to win. I turned the music off immediately, as I usually do, but the general sounds of the game are quite good, and not annoying. Although I prefer to be able to adjust the level of the sound, rather than just on/off,
There are a few technical niggles, as the game often refuses to play in full screen mode, I don't know why, but it might be to do with my settings, but I just play "normal" screen mode instead.
Negatives is that you build up money quite slowly, and some of the extra help and bonuses can be quite expensive, how ANYONE can earn over $100,000 for some of the extra help, I don't know. Plus, you can't replay a level later. You can replay immediately, but you can't go back and replay earlier levels to gain more money! You can if you buy the bonus, but the bonus is very expensive! Plus you NEED money to buy bonuses and help to help you achieve a 3 star finish, which gains you more money! You need to spend money to get money.
What seems to be the most annoying part, is that the game seems very short, so I haven't been able to build up money (or play for very long). I only appear to be able to play one tour: "USA East Tour". There is NO WAY you could earn the money to get over $100,000 to get the advanced multiple helps. Now, I have finished the USA East Tour, but can't seem to advance. I can't see where the button is to continue, nor does it state anywhere if I have to have earned enough stars or money to continue. I don't know if it's just me not noticing it, but the game is very short and ridiculous if it IS this short!
Good game, overall, but could be better with a few simple tweeks, such as being able to replay levels without having to spend a massive amount to do so, as well as not being so flipping short!! Show less
I recommend this game!
