i simply love the game. i only played the demo, but i am sure to buy it. the visuals are simply stunning and the story is very very interesting. i'm not a fan of vampire stories myself, but this one is exceptional. i simply can't understand people who gave it such a bad rating? what did they possibly see wrong in this game?

I just finished playing this game and just loved it. This is my 3rd Myths of the World game I've played and I have just loved every one of them. Great job Eipix.

I loved the HO scenes. They were different. I especially enjoyed the riddles and connecting objects to the items you need to find. I actually got excited when I saw the sparkles for another HO scene. When can you last make that ...Show more

I just finished playing this game and just loved it. This is my 3rd Myths of the World game I've played and I have just loved every one of them. Great job Eipix.

I loved the HO scenes. They were different. I especially enjoyed the riddles and connecting objects to the items you need to find. I actually got excited when I saw the sparkles for another HO scene. When can you last make that statement??

The graphics were clear and colorful. I enjoyed the story and trying to stop the head vampire. I had a complete surprise that I won't pass on (spoiler), didn't expect the game to take that direction.

The game tied up nicely at the end, so didn't miss a bonus game. Often I find all the frills of CE games distracting to my game play. So if I can be patient, I try to wait for the SE. I'm glad I did with this one. Much more enjoyable for me. :)

Try the game, you might just love it too. I rated it 6* out of 5*. Show less

The story line seems a bit weak at the beginning, but after a few minutes you're able to figure out what's coming at you next.
There is a map - I didn't use it once, so I can't say how it works. There are lots & lots of HOS in here, & all of them have a little twist to them. You have lists, pictures & clues. Plus, you have to find things in order to get to the HO list! That probably doesn't make much sense as you read this, but as the gameplay continues, it will become clear to the player.
The voice-overs are excellent, and the ambient sounds are amazing. Even the music was downright creepy at times, & led to the credibility of the story-line! Be sure to play this with the sound & ambient on. It really helps get you deeply involved in the game.
I thoroughly enjoyed this game, & was sorry when it ended. It's average in length - took me about 3 hours to complete. I'm usually a bit hesitant about the whole vampire thing, but I had fun with this one. The only part that bugged me was the ending. It was sort of ambiguous as to what happens to some of the characters #yourself included#. During the game, you're turned into a vampire, but I'm not sure if the player gets his/ her mortality back at the end. Since the two partners were vampire hunters, it would stand to reason that the player is a mortal again, but that isn't made clear at the end of the game. But that's a very minor flaw in a wonderful game. Be sure & add this one to your collection. It'll be one of your favorites. Re-play value is extremely high with this game. Show less

Excellent, interesting story. Lenghty game. HOS actually playable and different. What defines a great game for me is if I have to skip a puzzle or two, that`s the right challenge I want.

This game has amazing puzzles, a true gem for a puzzle player who doesn`t care too much for HOS.

Played this game straight through from start to finish. Great storyline. Excellent graphics, entertaining mini-games and interestingt H/O scenes. All in all a great game, I will be buying others in this series for sure.

I'm not a huge fan of vampires, but this was a fun game to play. The story is creative, which is a challenge given the hundreds of iterations on this legend.
There are a lot of special effects and video cut scenes to make it seem like a movie.
The artwork is excellent--not ghoulish, dark, and gloomy. I do wish the devs had made the videos high def to match the sharp, clear HO scenes. The videos ...Show more

Characters are well drawn, and voiceovers matched the appearance of characters.
There aren't many HOS at the beginning, but more towards the end, which also got more challenging. The use of word riddles instead of list of objects combined with small, dark, and well hidden objects made for a challenge. No morphing objects, but I found plenty of challenge in the riddles.
Mini puzzles are reasonable, although I did consult the WT a few times for guidance.
The game moves at a fast, snappy clip at the start and gets more ambiguous and challenging in the middle and end.
All in all, I had a good time playing the game and felt the ending ended satisfactorily--not abruptly, but conclusively, in a happy fashion.
This game is a definite buy if you enjoy high quality artwork, movie-style games, fan of vampires, or just want some good, non-gloomy fun. Show less

So many of these HOP games have become clones of each other. What I find refreshing with about this one is that the HOS and the mini games have a unique twist to them that makes me look forward to encountering one. I also will probably replay this game, which is rare for me.

It was a stellar game even though rather action-void in comparison with other vampire stories. Instead of the typical tyranny of vampires, the evil doings were subtle. IMO, toned down with a bit of feeling and "class" if you will. There was nothing to make you shudder, as expected, in stories of these seductive night creatures. That is why it appealed to me so much.

The characters and voice-overs were rendered in excellent fashion. The graphics were sharp and beautiful in nice, rich colors. The fashions and the background scenes indoors and out were detailed extremely well. Even the background sounds were worth noting.

There were many HOGs of good, interesting variety, all were fun and of average challenge. The games/puzzles were not too difficult which means less frustration. I love challenge but sometimes I appreciate less of it. A good map was provided, the hints recharged quickly enough, there were no tech issues..

"Black Rose" had, IMO, a weak ending, but most games usually do. So it is easy to disregard, especially since the rest of the story was so good. I enjoyed the entire game and think it can be played at any skill level. Show less

Great scary/thriller adventure loved it, fantastic pictures/graphics as well eerie music/sound.

The storyline was spell binding that it had me intrigued and jumping out off my chair plus the puzzles were great to do too.
