Not So Peaceful Lake!

I loved the Collector's Edition and this version hasn't changed my mind. Something mysterious and deadly is happening, men are being lured to their death's by someone, something in the lake! I loved the Collector's Edition and this version hasn't changed my mind. Something mysterious and deadly is happening, men are being lured to their death's by someone, something in the lake! I think you will agree that the graphics are stunning and the story has backbone. I was amazed that there were so many mini games, some of them I have never played before. I liked the mini game where you had to open up locks on a suitcase by adjusting 4 spring loaded buttons to the correct positions, but if you set any of the buttons incorrectly all 4 would reset. The mini games are list finds and after all items have been found the final item to find requires an interaction such as finding matches, lighting a candle which burns through a rope and allows a zipper pull to fall off. Although there are no extras in this Standard Edition it is still a great game especially for the price, enjoy! Show less

GRAPHICS are gorgeously picturesque of the times. The detail is incredible. HOS are very nicely done - a little crowded, but not excessively, and the objects are spread out and large enough that you're not pixel hunting. PUZZLES are widely varied and somewhat easy so that even novices won't get discouraged solving them.

MYSTERY involving disappearing men with a 200-year calendar. Now, who would need such a calendar and why are they walking into the lake? Lots of adventure with HOS and puzzles in the right proportion. ANIMATION is spectacular and used in the right places. Collect spectral fluid when it appears, so you know there's a paranormal aspect here.

Game has a lot to offer. JOURNAL has your clues and objectives. HINT system is very precise, giving thorough instructions on what to do in casual mode if you want it - usually on where you need to go next. MAP is very large and shows where there are activities to do. Lovely game and the demo went by so fast that I know it's a must buy Show less

Just awesome. Great graphics, excellent story line, LOTS of different locations, Good hints and tough puzzles. I played on the lowest setting with music off so I can't rate the music, but the game was just excellent all around. I played the standard edition and it is a bargain. Good, long story. Highly recommended.

this game had me hooked from the beginning. I love this type of animated game.
The hint button was very quick to charge (I played on regular mode).
The grafix were lovely. I can't really comment about the sound as I play with it off.
Over all a brill game well worth the money.

This is/was not a long game and is/was quite entertaining. The music was fabulous. It is so rewarding being a great detective and restoring peace and love!(smile)
Hint button refilled in a flash..IF you wished to SKIP a mini game you have that option in a few seconds.
It's pretty, the voice-overs are/were fine.
All in all I had a splendid time~

I recommend this game!

The map was great for when I got stuck. I only used the hint a couple of times when I couldn't figure out what to do next. And the hint recharged fairly quickly. I can say I was expecting creepy and didn't find any in this game. I recommend this game. Show less

For the moment I've only played the "try me" version, but I'm going to buy it. At last one game with a good storyline, with good graphics and with logical actions involved! you have to use your brain. In expert mode a real challenge that can be accomplished by thinking

This game is one of my favorites and it is not even a collector's edition.It has a lot of games and various types. Very fun and not too difficult, the graphics are really pretty too. The hint button recovers quickly so you do not need the strategy guide.

I recommend this game!
